I think they just don't have the drive or resources to make a film beyond the scope of their Kevin Smith meets shock horror comedy routine. They never stopped being hobbyists and live in Milwaukee. So...
That said, only a brainlet fucktardd would say a good critic has to be a good film maker.
They bit off too much and just slumped to the finish line because they knew they couldn't just pocket the money and give up or their fans would turn on them and they couldn't be critics. So they shat out a turd.
They've never been good at making art beyond editing essays reviews that Mike stumbled into. Their skits are awful, and their old films are terrible too. Nothing new.
I like Mike, but Jay gets worse every year and rich has just worn out his welcome. I don't hate rlm but they don't really hit the core of what people want from them anymore.... Namely scathing criticism of film. They got old and fat on patreon bux.
They don't even do plinkett reviews and just rehash memes for Reddit. Their half in the bag is watered down and lacks critical focus and the botw gets boring quick bar the occasional funny episode.
