Yeah, I agree with you Hugo was a decent, average guy that was blinded by his dream to get to Zalem. He wasn't a warrior in the least, Ido even said Factory enforcers came to his clinic looking for him. I imagine him panicking, not knowing where to go and thinking only of Zalem. He's not the smartest, but the same could be said for just about any of us in certain situations.

I think Hugo meant well for Alita. He's a tragic character, that's just who he is. By the time he met Alita, we was pretty much too far gone, it was a conflict of interest he fell in love with her and she fell in love with him, meanwhile he ironically tears people like her up. Even with him given a second chance to live now as the people he tore up, even with a bounty on his head, still just had to get to Zalem. He has fatal flaws, it's in his DNA, but he never meant bad for her.

He knew being a hunter warrior was dirty work, but he did it to keep his clinic running, and he didn’t feel relief after killing scum despite losing his wife and daughter.
He gave the poor citizens of iron city hope and offered free repairs to his fellow hunter warriors. He wants to protect Alita at all costs. He’s just a good soul in a wicked world. Amazing casting.
I felt and saw the pain in his eyes when he told the story of how he lost everything.

Okay dudes I just got back from the Iron City thing. It was really cool and my team earned the most credits so I got a coin and some trading cards, I bought a bar of factory chocolate and the art book so I'll take some good photos from that if anyone wants to check it out.

I got a picture of a deckman but it was weird because it was talking to me and it got offended that I walked away from it. There were a bunch of actors in character and they were messing with everybody which was cool but also super awkward.

I got to hold the damascus blade for a photo which was epic and they had some cyber parts you could wear and take photos with so I have some of me wearing Nova's glasses.

So yeah it was fun and if anyone has a chance to do it you totally should. I have some time to kill tomorrow so I'm tempted to do it again.
