I really enjoyed the movie so I started reading the manga, which I also really enjoyed. After seeing all the differences between the movie and the manga, it got me wondering how they could possibly do a sequel to the movie. I haven't read "Last Order" yet, so I'm not sure how well that could be adapted, but there are a lot of big events from the first part that don't seem like they could be well adapted, and probably skipped over. You realize that people can post their RT reviews on Facebook under their real names right? So who do I trust more of a random critic or a random user? None of them. I trust critics with a good track record. Protip: Being paid to write movie reviews doesn't mean you know anything about film. Neither does film school give you good taste or even teach you how to understand or write coherently about film. Recently, Rotten Tomatoes has also started letting people into the "pro" critic pool who they previously wouldn't let in because they write for shit-tier tiny publications that are nothing more than blogs. Because Fandango likes their opinions.
So yeah, the scores are ultimately meaningless - you have to read the reviews, and see if the person knows their shit.

Also, if they spent lots of money on tickets in this quarter, they could defer the costs until after the merger, meaning they could shore up their own stock price until the merger is complete. Then just put it down as extra marketing costs. They book the theaters anyway, so buying tickets doesn't cost them as much as it would for a third party to buy them.
Not sure what the former Fox shareholders think about this.
