god it went to complete shit in later seasons, I still watched it all because I'm retarded
i watched it for jessica and pam
pam is /ourgirl/
i feel like mid season 2 this show was fairly kino. i liked the vampire politics stuff and the locations were always comfy
stuck with it through like half of season 4 before i couldn't take the ridiculous campiness. it was almost like a ryan murphy show by the end from what i saw
Defiantly stretched out too thin.
i think that was mostly because as the show went on alan ball had less to do with where the show was going and the people at hbo just wanted to capitalize on all the twilight shit so they turned the show into an edgy gorey twilight
this season where sokeh was in fairly land with this dude was so fuckin trash and not to mention this garbage summer filter, looked like a 90s porno
Utter trash I kept watching. Nothing made sense they would change or retcon things every episode.
Same. The show went to dogshit, but I stuck it out. I had made it that far anyway.
Season three threads with Russellposting were good times on Yea Forums.
how can one man be this based
I remember Yea Forums dismissing the show and complaining that it was an allegory for gay people but the show actually went hard into its setting and was about vampires literally integrating into society. even back then Yea Forums was whining about politics.
To be fair, the vampires = gays parallels were intentional, because Alan Ball is gay. Like the whole "coming out of the coffin" shit. But yeah, they didn't constantly beat you over the head with the vampires = gays shit. They did it a little early on, but then moved more into the lore.
Thought it was more vampires = blacks. Especially with the “fangbanger” stigma.
This homosexual was genuinely entertaining. The guy was clearly mentally insane from living for so long.
read every book and loved it all
He was unironically based if you read his backstory. He just fucking hates modern man and loves the old pagan ways, as he grew up surrounded by druidic/shamanistic cultures, or something along those lines. He is based. He knows modern man is sick and hypocritical, so why the fuck should he care about modern morality.
BASED SOOOKEH POSTER
this is in the title sequence lol
Same. It's weird how True Blood is kinda forgotten now. I guess for a year after its end people still had it in mind but 4-5 years no one's really thinking about it. Probably in another 5 years or even sooner they'll want to restart the franchise.
id watch a show based on eric's history
I quit after Season 4 when SOOOKEH went to the fairy land. Lame.
When I read the books and they killed Layfeyette early on I was ticked. The books were good until they introduced the WereTiger fellow. The whole WereJaguar (Bobcat?) inbred clan was cool in the books though
where can i read it? he's not in the books
Yeah, I noticed that too. It was the most hyped show on HBO for a while, but it died quickly. Makes me surprised that GOT has managed to keep the hype train going for so long, when it's taken a hit in quality too.
quinn was cool though
i was sad when i heard he died irl. apparently he was a major alcoholic
wtf i didn't know
he was a good actor
I never finsihed it, is it worth it?
Last things I recall was bill is sheriff or prince, sookie is farry, the guy suicide bombing the vampire, her regenerating hymen
I liked how friggin overwordly and horrifying the fairies were in the books. None of that gay gymnastics shit.
>tfw he gives you a burger with AIDS
nah it's not really worth it, it just gets more retarded after that point.
Its gonna be the same thing with GOT, just like with every major tv show ever.
hbo is going to milk GoT for at least another decade. they're making a prequel series that's probably going to come out next year, they're trying to hold onto the GoT audience.
guess I just read some summaries then
how can he be this based?

It gets really dumb. Bill becomes a vampire god after drinking the blood of the first vampire. He kills the world vampire leaders. then some other stuff happens i didn't even watch the last seasons. I watched the last few minutes of the last episode and it ends with Sookie having a big outdoor feast with the werewolf guy as her bf/husband. i think all the vampires were dead, i don't really remember. all the surviving characters were there too.
they messed up when they kept escalating the vampire government. they should have never interacted with anyone above the state level. kept it local, and focused on characters rather than increasingly stupid plot lines.
>they're all fast enough to stop him
>they just stand there and watch
It wasn't even the werewolf guy. It was a literal who. Bill died, but Jessica was still alive in the end.
they aren't fast enough to stop him, he's like twice as old as everyone in that room
All of them could easily overpower him together. He's stronger than them individually. He can't fight off 10 other vampires, especially when a lot of them are half his age.
Nazi Eric was best arc desu
did she do anything wrong?
