They were pure

Even worse, they had already been on earth for thousands of years in this version.

>master interstellar travel and cloaking tech
>don’t know about water

Wait yeah wtf

>choose to invade blue planet
>”aaaggh why is there water here?!”

Yeah, that was stupid

If there were no such things on Mars, it's not really a stretch to think they would ignore them. What is actaully unrealistic is Earth germs being compatible with martian fyziognomy.

They knew about the germs. They didn't know about the birds coming up into their space ships and shitting the germs out though

>want humans as fuel and fertilizer
>vaporizes millions instead

>master space travel and zero point energy weapons
>don’t know about crows

Get out of the truck, Ray. Get out of the car.

The aliens were not already on earth
The lightning brought them to the ships

*charges aliens*

They were Christians that didn't believe in evolution.
They were prepared for the kind of germs in prehistoric times, the evolved ones killed them.

>let’s wait until they have nukes lmao

>BLEEEEERRRRGH

Tom Cruise's entire family being unscathed after these events was pretty gay. Even his wife's husband survives.

He was going to use the instant-transmission kamehameha.

The original 1898 Martians were so cool.

>keep devolved humanoids as foodstock
>after millions of years of evolution alongside machines, the Martians lack the biological ability to eat and must use machines to drain blood from foodstock
>millions of years of living in a sterile environment

The Call of Cthulhu RPG has some interesting takes on Wells' Martians. Specifically that their leader is some kind of Elder Thing that coopted Martian society at some point in prehistory.

That actually makes more sense
>Get here a million years ago
>Oh cool there's no disease. Nice
>Decide to come out later
>Oh fu-

>fyziognomy
You just made that word up.

But why wait until 2005?

>They knew about the germs
>Hey, guys. Wanna leave the machines and hunt for some prime cunny even though we'll be totally exposed?
defend that

America was too strong pre-9/11

>implying the energy required to do this wouldn’t far exceed the energy obtained

>Why did they risk their life for prime cunny?
Self explanatory

...

They were demons, though.
