30 stone maybe

fpbp

Yeah well at least I'm not a fatty >:( ;_;

Was any of it of any value though?

The unfortunate truth is that most men make their greatest accomplishments in their mid twenties.

fucking learn English you fucking moron

That's nice. He's definitely crushing it but he's an uninformed dipshit and his style has basically stalled out for the last 20 years.

Clerks wasn't that good

A materialistic person envies a fat millionaire who makes movies for kids. You have some self-actualizing to take care of kiddo.

>cope

Still winds up like this. Totally worth?

He had a momentary bit of success in the early 90's thanks to Daddy Weinstien taking pity on him, he has since fucked up every oppertunity at real film making ever offered to him, and is only still alive thanks to sycophants who buy into his edgy gen x bullshit.

That said, I enjoyed Chasing Amy

I make enough cash to do what I want so I don't really need to.

if i cared about the things you people care about i would be a very bad person

i would rape people
i would kill people
i would pee in public restrooms outside of the toilet or urinal

how you people DO care, is beyond me

Yeah. Clerks proved that even in a more modern age you could still have extreme success with a shoe string budget with comedies. Just some relatively normal guy made a huge wave. Name one other comedy that was so cheap yet gained such a gathering.

at least im not gay for ben affleck

Too bad he also did more to undermine those accomplishments before he turned 40

Clerks is far from brilliant, it's sequel is a commercial product and honestly who thinks Kevin Smith's fan club is noteworthy? FWIW when I was in highschool I thought he was the shit too.

Adulthood is realized Kevin Smith is just a teenager who never grew up, because he made it big and never had to.

I don't know how much of a gathering but it is well known.

some fellas are lucky and some aint

I agree he sold out. I'm not saying Clerks was anything mindblowing at all. But he made it with a shit camera and a bunch of nobodies and that threw him into success. I imagine it inspired a lot of people who thought they'd never make it without the backing of a million dollars.

Somebody really needs to touch this up and make it look not shit.

Well "success" is relative. He basically bankrupted himself to make Clerks, maxing out 3 credit cards on top of his student loan buybacks, and the film only became known because Weinstien took it that years Sundance and the critics enjoyed it, but he didn't actually make any money off of it for almost 10 years.

Hi Kevin.

In the long run it benefited him, though. It enabled to him to make things like Mallrats, then Dogma, then Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back. He certainly came out on top. More into that Dogma was pretty big at time due to the anti-Christian aspect and how that wasn't something that appeared on the big screen much. I'd argue that he was the South Park of cinema.

>wanting a less obvious photoshop to use to make fun of him is somehow a bad thing
Do you even think or are you compelled by some sort of shitposting deity.

Nope. I was born rich as fuck. I'm worth far more than him.

Based Ornella.

Quality bait right there. Impressive.

I have an 18 inch cock too

Prove it. Also give me a million dollars and no less than five wives your greedy kike.

Mall-Rats was a financial disaster that ruined any shot he had at mainstream film making

Dogma and Jay/SB were hardly smash hits either, and he himself admitted he was running out of steam by then creatively.

Kevin Smith was never more than a glorified indy director. South Park? More like Bob's Burgers, minus the success

kys

>South Park of cinema
But South Park has long outlived it's shelf-life and makes more money than ever, because it's creators are maniacs who never stop working. Meanwhile Kevin Smith was a flash in the pan who just sits on his movie bux.

>Mall-Rats
Hello phoneposter. Regardless it still gained a cult following that benefited him in the long run. The movies were coming out when South Park was breaking ground in things you could say on TV. Kevin Smith's movies were very similar in that aspect regardless if you think the are shit or not. I respect your opinion on that.

At the time. Obviously his more recent movies are shit and he has turned into a huge faggot.

>Makes a sequel to his only good movie because he had nothing but bombs
>It's shit

Are you referring to Clerks 2 or the future Jay and Silent Bob installment? Reminder there was supposed to be a Clerks 3 but Jeff Anderson was living in a retirement home, demanded a fuckload of money which Kevin raised to pay him, then he said lol nah I'm not doing it.

I'm not worried. I got a sure-fire plan for lifelong fame in the works already. Hehe.

>white power symbol

is that a real thing?
i thought it was a Malcolm in the middle thing and if you caught slipping you would then get hit, like a punch or a kick or something.

blue checkmark brigade on twitter says it is so it must be

No. It's a /pol/ meme spread because some fucktard though that the "okay" hand gesture looks like WP. Which would of course stand for white power. Also didn't the Christchurch dude get killed while going to another Mosque to shoot up?

Don't get me wrong, I liked it, even if it is a tad dated and silly, but I'm being objective in saying that it was financial disaster (lost 5 million on a 6 million dollar budget) that ruined Kevin's chances at making the big time, so to speak. He did have a long career as well received, if not financially successful, indie darling, but comparing him to South Park, particularly when you compare the hard numbers, is ridiculous.

I will further argue that his cultural impact, such as it was, was hardly innovating or original, when you consider the WWF attitude era was making it's initial impact at the time, MTV was hitting it's peak, and the aformentioned South Park, along with Jerry Springer and Grunge/Gangsta rap...edgy shit was all over the 90's. I would argue he was just a case of right time and right place.

why is he wearing a bag?
I thought prisoners get those striped jump suits like in the movies

>/pol/ trolls msm into believing the ok sign means White Power. MSM takes bait. Edgy bois do it in jest, THEN retarded White Supremacists actually embrace the sign as their own thus screwing everything up.

yes but they used it as an excuse to finally bag hyde

this is why they didn't want you seeing the video, it's a conspiracy

>reddit said it so it must be true

I get where you're coming from and I do agree that it was a financial disaster but he bounced back from that and they kept letting him make movies. But to compare Jerry Springer with South Park is just wrong. South Park went that extra mile. I remember watching the shit episode live as a young teen and it was certainly something else. Dogma was like that. Kevin Smith received many, many death threats over the movie. Personally I think the Evenings with Kevin Smith are fantastic and he should stick with that instead of churning out the garbage that is Red State and post.

No. People started using the meme ironically because they got a giggle out of people flipping the fuck out over a joke. Same thing with the It's Okay To Be White shit. It's a sure sign of a memester.

you dont read much do you

>mental breakdown for being mentioned in a cape shit film

"Accomplishments" are such a meme. I make more than this loser just by sitting around not working.

WHITE PRIVILEGE

Clerks 2, there's a lot to nitpick about that movie like Randall is suddenly borderline retarded, but the random dance number was just awful. Also It'd be fucking sad to see these guys near 50 and still working in some convenient store.

Clerks is awful if you don’t find the dick jokes funny. The dioluge is insufferable and unrealistic. Just horrible shit. I regret ever watching his shit movies

Attached: kevinsmith_2.jpg (560x397, 41K)

It's all ironic, though. People enjoy getting a rise. Just like the It's Okay To Be White fiasco. Captchas are fucking diabolical today, Christ. I suppose I should switch to legacy if that's even still an option.

No denying the dance scene was out of there. I was 15 at the time and my dad (who pirated everything) mentioned how fucking retarded it was. At the time I thought it was quirky and fun but now I agree it was just shit.
>comedy is awful if you don't share the same humor
Shocking, buddy.

He's a really good comedy writer

The wrong Kevin Smith died

Attached: kevin_smith.jpg (327x486, 84K)

Nah, anyone can appreciate good humor like Cicero or some Pixar film.

Kevin Smith is mostly shock value and once it’s shocked you it’s not funny.

>pillow pants XD

Also the being into nerd shit like LotR is mainstream now so that aspect of it is cheesy and gay grinds my gears.

Like I said, regret.

Is he though?
youtube.com/watch?v=bHv7qaCBRuU

Attached: tarantino_smith_damon.jpg (594x399, 101K)

He was only allowed to make movies because he was a patron of big daddy Harv, and once that well dried up he has had to beg for every cent he's gotten since.

Also I find your faith in South Park disturbing....

>good humor like Cicero or some Pixar film.
Lol safe, generic humor isnt that hard to make

Pillow pants isnt shock humor at all. It's cringe humor based on real life people

Its unironically the 666 hand symbol. You'll see all the cool kids of Hollywood doing it.

Learn to read

No. That was just at Auschwitz.

>now
Enough fucking said, really. I already said they were products of their time.
Why does that matter? He made funny stuff and a lot people enjoyed it. Don't act like South Park did not push the envelope back in the day. You'd be retarded to think otherwise. The shit episode was a huge deal and it paved the way for swearing on TV.

OP is not proper English. It's a meme and memes don't follow that structure. What you should have said is lurk more.
