Vastly overrated and retroactively made worse by the comic and sequel series. Ultimately, Avatar: The Last Airbender is a series thoroughly intended to please those with insufficient brainpower. The show lacks proper subtext, and its themes are laid so bare, they're naked. Of course, the mental incel delights in this nakedness and escapism, wishing to devour it. All characters are borderline cardboard cutouts taking advantage of tropes well established. Fans of this series are fine. It's okay to indulge from time to time. Superfans are outrageously grotesque in their low IQ sycophantic approach to the series. Absolute disgusting.

Rocko's Modern Life, Ren and Stimpy, and Pre-Movie Spongebob are the only good shows in that entire image (omitting Kablam because half of the shorts sucked.)

I honestly struggle to think of even a single child oriented anime that's more childish than Avatar. Maybe it was cool if you were 10 at the time. I think fucking Doraemon tackles more complex adult themes than Avatar did.

Avatar was a really good show. My only significant complaints was a few random episodes that went nowhere and the ending felt a little rushed and odd. I feel like they should have mentioned Aang having second thoughts about killing Ozai like the day before he was gonna do it. Also having Aang whip people around in what looked to be lethal ways earlier also made it feel weird. Still a great show. Korra sucks ass
