Network TV only picks up terrible mass appeal shit like Big Bang Theory and dozens of generic police procedural, and middle aged mom shows like This is Us and Greys Anatomy. HBO started the move in the right direction and Netflix advanced it much further, these two have put out more quality TV than all of the networks combined since Netflix got in the content game. Plus they have bought distro rights to some good UK TV that otherwise would have been relegated to PBS much later if ever shown at all

And Netflix picks up anything that's too bad to even make it to network TV. It has produced some of the worst shows and movies I've seen in my life. I canceled it last years and never looked back.

Honestly, Bojack Horseman, and season 1 of Bloodline alone are better than the total output of ABC, NBC, Fox and CBS over the period

They definitely make some bad stuff, but they also make more good stuff than literally anyone. HBO and BBC are the only other ones that even come close, the big networks make almost nothing of value, their shows are almost all terrible
