Where the fuck can I watch this movie without torrenting or paying $75+?

What movie

No it isn't

Possession

Nowhere, cuck.

is that the jurrassic park guy?

yes

You just listed your only options

have sex

why would you not torrent a movie? are you a cuck?

Prime Adjani but that's it.
also >dat zombie ass

peak adjani = total semen demon

Why is Sam Neill so kino?

it's on putlocker in 720p

sam neil looks kind of cute

She’s a fucking goddess

It's not scary, though. Very depressing movie, the ending hit me kinda hard because I have divorced parents.

I don't know, but watching him lose his shit is pretty great.

If you're 19 and frequent websites like letterbox or IMDB - sure.

It definitely has some of the best performances in a horror movie

>360p upcaped to 720
>watching a shitty stream of a grainy film

Imagine living in the current year and being afraid to torrent

Don’t worry, sport, the new A24 le horror film is coming out soon and I’m sure that’s more your speed

I agree.

Just torrent the movie, you stupid idiot

the acting kinda sucks

Well, this movie helped me cope after a breakup.

You’re out of your fucking mind. The performances are hypnotizing

Gubmint are monitoring this board and now know that you express an interest in pirating movies. It's over, Rex-84 is gonna end with you in a fucking FEMA camp you transgressive loon.

>not owning the special edition bluray

Plebs.

A man of culture, I see

Was lucky enough to see this in theater a few years ago. Crazy good horror. Movie really builds subtly using increasingly odd camera work and tense weird acting choices. Makes you feel like the whole world is falling in around you and going crazy right up to the apocalyptic ending. Really great metaphor for a disintegrating relationship/marriage(the director had just gone through a horrible divorce). Never felt so uneasy/unnerved in a movie theater.

Sam Neil is at his peak in weird psychological shit. This and In the Mouth of Madness are great.

He’s such a great character actor, and dare I say, under-appreciated (which is way different than being underrated desu)

>movie
that's a film honey

nice

The camera work is so gorgeous I can’t believe this was made in 1981 . It feels v modern.

Possession > The Shining

Fight me, niggers

It's not even scary though

It perfectly captures what it's like to be in a relationship with a woman.

her acting for me is kinda distracting(for example now i remember that scene where she cuts her neck and keeps turning her head to the side). i get that the director might have done it on purpose with the intent of creating discomfort in the audience, but it didn't hit home for me, it just seemed laughable.
sam did a better job at it

>implying a movie has to have normie jump scares to be scary

Grow the fuck up

Jump scares aren't scary either though

Then what exactly are you implying is a scary movie

Nothing desu

Fair enough bb

This is a comfy thread. Good job OP.

what's that like?

bags of sand

Post the ballet webm

4th best Zulawski flick desu

Generally I don't care for the avant gard side of horror but I liked it here. Then again Lynch does it well too. I think most just fail when they try being weird.

What else is recommend from him? I wanted to get into his work after seeing Possession, but nothing looked quite similar. When I searched him up, there was some snob arthouse circlejerking about some incomplete film of his being released.

>This bland soft face is considered attractive in frogland
I'll take Brie Larson any day

Anyone seen One Deadly Summer? Why is Isabelle Adjani so good at playing seductive crazy?

>Crazy good horror.
This is some reddit tier analysis, nice.

She's a Kabyle, whatever race that is. Also, the film uses multiple focal lengths.

Attached: focal_length.jpg (900x1080, 210K)

fag

The only time I felt uneasy watching a movie was seeing the ending of Chinatown for the first time. Jump scares were scary out of principle when I was 12.

The horror genre requires zero cinematic IQ, what do you expect. Not that Possession is a bad film, but in general anything horror attracts such people. Look at people praising garbage like Hereditary when it's a straight ripoff of Rosemary's Baby and The Exorcist.

>that's why i'm with you
>because you say i for me
what did she mean by this

Women are sheep who prefer men to make decisions for them. Ever notice how girls are usually into whatever music their bf listens to?

This guy knows Kino

i can't remember if she was talking to the demon or the man in the flashbacks, or both

1. The Shining
2. Possession
3. Rosemary’s Baby
4. The Excorcist
5. Don’t Look Now

What was the deal with the pink sock? What were those guys up to?

Asking the real muthafuckin questions

Likely spying on Sam Neill because of his unexpected departure from his position and the fact that he hired two private investigators who wound up missing shortly there after.

Yes

>Reddit movies

On Silver Globe - as you mentioned it's an incomplete film as it was half-destroyed by Polish governement. What survived is crazy good SF.

Who were the men in the pink socks?

Jews

Ouch, fella! Watch yourself with that cool edge! God ur so cool XD

Weak bait.

no shit dumbass

It may be a rip but it was still a great movie.

I loved the part when he left a memo with instructions for his successor. I just loved that part, dunno why.

the scene when the'yre both cutting themselves is great.
Also when she's shouting that he keeps nagging her.
Perfect movie about marriage falling apart

Imagine living in the current year and being a scum sucking bottom of the barrel thief.

They're always fucking watching

Attached: Possession.webm (1200x720, 1.99M)

also when she says that the monster made love to her all night

the ballet scene

Now that I think of it, what did this scene had to do with the rest of the movie?

>I don't know how!

Relax your ass, poser

naw for me that's Antichrist

It was a piece of shit with unsubstantiated horror gore. Stuff happened because it happened, no reason given.

What bait?

exposition about her time when the husband hadn't yet come home

>Hereditary was a ripoff of Rosemary's Baby and The Exorcist
Now that's just retarded dumb.

But what did it reveal? That she kinda raped a girl?

Director literally said those were his influence in an interview, and the whole cult pulling the strings all along, while not original to Rosemary's Baby, is the exact same revelation.

Nigga, it was not even the best horror movie of that YEAR. Let alone all time.

Attached: p7834_v_v8_ab.jpg (960x1440, 244K)

i just realized what you actually asked originally. it seemed like some fever dream shit not to be taken literally ie. dunno

Anybody else in this thread seen Images? I feel like it's severely underrated, maybe because it was hard to find for a few decades but it's one of the best psychological thrillers I've seen.

>There are stories that are alike
Wow, dude, you're keen as FUCK

Its clearly sinister. The only horror movie to not drop the ball on sound

>rehashes are good
>t. horror fan/normalfag

*most boring

DUDE IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE SCARY LMAO

essential soi horror

>implying there's anything interesting
That Hereditary used these previous ideas isn't a problem

original*

you haven't seen it.

yeah the kid drowns himself in the bath at the end its gay

That movie is a guilty pleasure of mine. It's nothing like Possession though and the whole idea of it is Slenderman tier so I'm not sure if I'm supposed to take it seriously. I think it works better if you don't. And I know what you're talking about with the sound:
i.4cdn.org/wsg/1553034425645.webm

No, it's the Sutter Cane guy

what are your favorite horror movies?

Really enjoyed it. Altmans most moviest Movie

You sound fucking retarded.

what a crazy bitch

There was reasons because of the plot, can you follow a simple storytelling in a movie?

tell me what you thought happened for no reason and I will tell you the reason

this and possession are GOAT

No it's the Bates Motel guy.

I watched it on some streaming site a couple of years ago

Can you tease us with it? Take the cover off

WHAT the FUCK was his problem?

Attached: 3254.jpg (933x572, 184K)

Kid who was under the influence of drugs fled the scene of an accident and failed to report his sister's death. In reality, this would be investigated by authorities, full bloodwork done, people at the party questioned, and a minimum charge of gross negligence (especially given he was charged as her guardian to take care of her medical needs) if not manslaughter would face him. Therefore everything that follows throws plot out of the window.
All of the gore and horror elements, like the neck sawing, are just there for cheap shock effect. The demon mythology is barely only eluded to. Apparitions start appearing prior to the grave desecration or before anyone in the family is yet possessed. Parents are seemingly OK with their son murdering their daughter while doing drugs at a party, and father even defends him and invites him to the dinner table - this just happens to further the plot, it makes no sense otherwise.

You mad 'cause you didn't understand it

What was with the religious symbolism? You have a lot of stuff going on with him and his mother.

What's everyone's take on Helen, the school teacher who looks exactly like Anna? First time watching I thought she might be another fully formed "monster" but after rewarching it, I'm not so sure.

Ashkenazi genes

Do you suppose this is improvised, that they just saw the guys on the wall and decided to point the camera at them?

this film triggers my synthesisa after a while and changes color sometimes after mark sees the alien, orange to brown
>inb4 other things
good chilli is yellow and a good nut is green followed by white, sometimes just blue

>not a horror

Attached: 1423754101323.jpg (1200x720, 200K)

>In reality, this would be investigated by authorities
>full bloodwork
>people at the party questioned

Hell yeah, I want to watch a horror movie but then suddenly it's about some Cops investigating and deciding if the death I just saw earlier was a murder or an accident.

I insist: you are goofed and retarded.

Mark and Anna both create their ideal versions of eachother with other people.

She's mixed

You're right. And I don't know. This film deals with many topics, I need to watch it again.

Then don't write the death in such manner if you're unable or unwilling to make it credible. Simply make her asphyxiate from her allergic reaction. But wait, that doesn't attract the modern horror audience who crave grotesque gore spectacles

you're thinking of evil green, adi

So, in short, nobody here understood the movie?

ding ding ding

Lol, what the fuck are talking about?

It's a brain condition where senses and memories are crossed, it's basically like being on a low dose of acid all times

>listen to a woman shouting and screaming for all of the movie duration
No

>autistic screecing: the movie

Fuck off

Attached: 136424688638.jpg (300x300, 28K)

For me, it's between this and the Eldritch abomination lovemaking scene.

It's about the desolation of a marriage

based

this but it only triggers in me after intense stuff not every time i have chilli or nut

aint nothing wrong with gore when done nicely like in the movie.

Test

>it's immoral to torrent and financially deprive the artist for their work
>Żuławski is dead
really makes me think

Why would it be a guilty pleasure? It is legitimately the best horror, or one of the best horrors, ever filmed. I've seen Possession, I honestly have no clue why its so highly revered.

great acting

Imagine financially supporting degeneracy and kikery. Torrent everything, not a god damned creator alive has earned a dime from you.

Hereditary spoilers:

Lots and lots and lots of tension were built before the image of the severed head, which caused a lot of shock on the audience. That was the intention. I don't think it had gratuitous violence. Near the end the movie starts turning into a Bedlam (a chaotic nativity scene, actually the thing we see at the very end), so it wasn't without reason when the mother sawed her fucking head off (also that was required for the ritual, they needed 3 heads) and odd things started to happen.

Anons after watching this masterpiece you DID delve deeper into Żuławski's other films right, surely you watched On the Silver Globe RIGHT?!? Strong rec for Szamanka from me as well, go a lot of the fun psych-sex drama dynamics similar to Possession.

She pissed and shidded and farded

That scene started out funny then became way too erotic.

Oh I see. What color is when something scares you suddenly? The jumpscares, what color are they?

that was hilariously bad

I have to watch it again, it's been like a year, but

>neck sawing, child beheading
Beheading is required to unlock Paimon from possession of a body. He didn't truly want Annie, he was just using her to scare Peter's mind into a state so vulnerable that he could possess him (just like with burning the father to get at Annie). So he beheaded himself as her in order to let himself move into Peter's body after Peter jumped out the window. Charlie had to be beheaded because she hosted Paimon's soul and it needed to be freed to get into Peter

>allusions to the demon mythology
It's kept vague because that makes it more scary, but if you look close it makes sense. The daughter Charlie (actually Paimon) was just pretending to be a dumb little girl so as to keep everything going along normally until (s)he had an chance to steal Peter's body. Paimon (as Charlie) could see her own future, and conveyed her upcoming beheading accident at age 13 to her Grandma, who informed the rest of her cabal so they could then use it as an opportunity to transfer Paimon's soul. This is why the telephone pole had the cult marking on it.

>Apparitions start appearing prior to the grave desecration or before anyone in the family is yet possessed.
Not sure, all I can guess is that Queen Leigh had done many empowering demonic rituals while still alive so even in death she had some degree of demonic powers that allowed her to project herself like at the beginning. She was even reanimated as a corpse to perform the necessary rituals to properly let Paimon be unlocked from Charlie (as she did in that field to Charlie before she left for the party).

>Parents are seemingly OK with their son murdering their daughter while doing drugs at a party
It was an accident that happened while he was trying to save her. What were they supposed to do, disown him / kick him out and just have no kids at all anymore?

Attached: Paimon book.jpg (1916x950, 488K)

A Bedlam or Bethlehem, the scene that depicts the birth of Jesus. In Spanish is clearer for me: "un Belén"; a chaotic scene with lots of animals and figurines you place in your Latin American catholic home when it's Christmas.

>durr torrent everything cuz da joooz shouldnt make money off their hard work durrr im too poor to stream durrr im a stupid fucking incel poltard who cant handle losing

Nigger this is a good thread, if you wanted a bump all you had to do was ask

Attached: 1552873589725.jpg (625x415, 55K)

because everyone else acts like it's bad and written for dumb teenagers
I thought it rode a very fine line between horror and humor (since it felt so scary that it seemed 100% serious) and a lot of people didn't understand that aspect of it

The Thing is better

Just watched this movie for the first time
Why is the soundtrack better than the movie?

it hasnt but the film apollo 18 gave me fever so high i almost went into a coma

only thing I didn't like about The Thing is how unphased they are by the horrifying shit that they saw, especially at the beginning like when Macready and Blair went to the Norwegian base and saw all that unprecedented alien monster shit. Realizing what the thing was capable of and that it could actually be any one of them would drive real men mad with fear and panic. Not saying that's what should've happened, but I just think they should've seemed more scared than they were

It is. Żuławski confirms it in an interview that's included with some versions of the film. Basically anyone on the wall is a real border guard and they just grabbed footage when they could. There are probably some official documents somewhere either in Berlin or Russia assuming the guards reported it which given the climate in Berlin at the time they almost certainly did.

I want a GF with a bloody mouth but I don't want to hurt her. Maybe some of that stage fake blood stuff. Might be hot haha.

Okay, later guys.

>It's a brain condition where senses and memories are crossed

No it isn't, that's nostalgia. Synesthesia is like tasting colors and noises having shapes.

>only thing I didn't like about The Thing is how unphased they are by the horrifying shit that they saw,
See, on the other hand, this is what I feel the movie does so well in comparison to so many other horror films. Each of the characters in the film were scientists, or some related profession, and they were all more-or-less mature and grown men. The fact that their suspicion and fear are still expressed in trials and actions that still show this side of them (like the blood test, or the fact that the doctor still did the autopsy) makes the cast stand out, and helps characterize them.

Dunno why you would want that because fake / real blood all over the teeth makes even the most attractive people look like monsters, especially when it's a darker shade than in the OP

the guy who has it here, doc says certain brain reactions trigger another are of the brain, had to go after gf gave me head so good all i saw for a second was green and white i thought i had a seizure
