They’re both great for what they are. In terms of a live show I’d pick Graves any day. He’s just flat out a more versatile and better singer. During his Misfits days Graves would belt out tracks like Astro Zombies, Hybrid Moments, and Some Kinda Hate better than Danzig himself ever did. Not to mention singing all the tracks on American Psycho/Famous Monsters flawlessly.

Danzig can barely hold the mic to his mouth long enough to finish a phrase. I could never imagine him adequately pulling off a song like Crawling Eye or Saturday Night.

As a Misfits lead I associate Graves with everything Misfits stands for, what it looks like. It's not just an almost generic punk band, it has all kinds of goth rock and other stuff in it, it's just more melodically interesting.
But Danzig became a better musician after leaving Misfits.

Danzig is the best vocalist, and then his own band "Danzig" is great until Their fifth album which embraced industrial metal which is a brand killer, NIN suffered, Manson suffered, Niggerback soared. The late 99s, early 00s was just a band time overall.
