Both Aquaman and Wonder Woman are more or less successful. >"DUDE, FUCK CONTINUITY, WE'RE DOING STANDALONE MOBIES NOW. FUCK CYBORG, FUCK SUPERMAN AND FUCK SHARED UNIVERSE."
And here I'm remembering how they fucking shoehorned Justice League's members cameos into BvS, ruining movies' pace. Warner Brothers has zero integrity. Fuck them.
>More or less successful Do you know how much Aquaman made? And they're just doing what makes them money at the moment untill they've distanced themselves enough from pre-JL (Not including Wonder Woman), nothing wrong with that. And to be honest, Cyborg wasn't ever getting a movie and Superman hasn't had a universally liked one since Superman II so no director wants to touch it
Alexander Cook
>both standalone films without Snyder are the biggest successes wow WB is so crazy to try and focus on that!
Landon Allen
>more or less successful Aquaman is literally one of the most successful movies of all time
Lincoln Mitchell
They doubled-down on shared universe until JL came out and stripped them from almost all credibility they had. And now they are throwing under the bus good actors/characters because of their own (not actors') fuck ups? This is disgraceful.
Adam Adams
this is still a shared universe and there will be another Justice League expect they are taking their time to properly introduce their characters
Noah Collins
They are completely out of their minds.
What makes a good movie is really simple: good writing. Not how popular the characters are, not nostalgia, not any of these cold and calculated meaningless bonus things that if you get enough of you can generate a 'maybe profit' for a few seconds before everyone remembers that movie us shit.
Marvel could make a movie with a talking racoon and a fucking tree that no one knew of work how you have not yet relied this is a miracle of either intentional ignorance or blatant human stupidity.
Detective Comics Comics would benefit greatly from losing the rights to Superman and Batman so they don't even THINK about relying of brand recognition. I swear that added challenge to make the B-list cast work was what made Marvel great.
It's why the X-men and the Fantastic Four have a chance of fucking it all up.
Bentley Lopez
>Do you know how much Aquaman made? Aquaman actually lost money
Parker Baker
>What makes a good movie is really simple: good writing. Not how popular the characters are, not nostalgia Which is exactly what they want to do from now on? Good movies without having to build towards anything
Ian Hill
>Snyder makes BvS >critics say it's too dark and gloomy and call it the donald trump of films >Breaks records opening weekend and creates a cult-following
>Snyder produces SS >critics demand that it flops and pan it >Breaks box-office records for August beating Guardians of the Galaxy >Attracts record number of women and minority audience members without pushing politics
>Snyder writes and produces Wonder Woman >media worry it will flop and set back women-led action films >Becomes smash hit success story
>WB fires Snyder halfway through development of Justice League and replaces him with Whedon >media celebrates Joss Whedon coming on board and hope that he can undo anything Snyder did >first DCEU film to actually flop >universally panned, none moreso than by the fans that supported BvS
>Snyder produces Aquaman and mentors James Waan >media predicts it will flop >Film breaks a billion and is a smash hit
Are you noticing a pattern yet?
Hudson King
You want to provide the math on that?
Carson Cooper
>Snyder bad >Anything not marvel bad >Bad attempt to mimmick marvel sort of good
>dc still after this years refuses to admit that the only superhero they have that works is batman
Chase Hernandez
which will be proven false when The Batman makes less than Aquaman
Jaxson Lopez
>more or less successful Aquaman made about the same of Civil War which is an ensemble MCU movie
Wyatt Allen
>>Breaks records opening weekend and creates a cult-following Also had record breaking second weekend drops and is the only movie to make as much as it did on its OW and not make a billion >Attracts record number of women and minority audience members without pushing politics Because of Ayer and reshoots adding more comedy for audiences >Snyder writes and produces Wonder Woman Snyder didn't write wonder woman, he got a story by credit because of the work he did on BvS >Becomes smash hit success story Because of patty and Gal >universally panned, none moreso than by the fans that supported BvS It was actually more well received than BvS was, it's just that it's OW was shit due to BvS' toxic WoM making people uninterested >mentors James Waan Wan showed his film to Snyder and Snyder said it was good, he didn't mentor him >Are you noticing a pattern yet? Yeah, when Snyder isn't in charge the movies are more well received and do better financially
Jews don’t write or understand creativity. They want money. They want movies that make money. Marvel makes money so copy that. It was that simple to them.
Even Stan Lee was just Copying earlier works when he made his heroes.
>rich billionaire with a tech company that uses it to fight crime
>mythological god like being on earth

What did I say that wasn't true? BvS collapsed in its own OW and had such poor legs it failed to make a billion when every movie that's ever had a similar OW has passed 1bn with absolutely no problem. Suicide Squad was a hit with minorities because it had minorities in them, same with women, Snyder didn't do that, that was Ayer. It was successful because it was a popcorn flick, that's again, because of Ayer. Wonder Woman was successful because of a charismatic lead and the boost it got for being socially relevant, Snyder had input on the story but wasn't at the helm. JL was better received than BvS. Wan wasn't mentored by Snyder. Snyder is way better at producing than he is at directing, that's why the movies he helps tangentially do better than the ones he makes himself, as other people can say "that's a dumb idea, I'm not doing that"
Caleb Davis
>he hasn't watched the TV shows
Flash, Green Arrow, Green Lantern, Titans (which is mostly just Robin which is basically batman) all can carry their works
how exactly has batman worked? >60s campy TV show was the most successful >followed by animated series in the 90s >followed by a dark trilogy by nolan which lost a lot of steam after the 2nd movie >followed by a single film by Tim Burton in 1990
Superman has had more success as Superman TAS = Batman TAS and Smallville > campy 60s
James Cooper
AM I TOO SOON? WHAT? I DON'T GET A MOVIE? FUCK!
Austin Taylor
>jewsish boogeyman You of all people should really not talk about creativity.
Parker Young
Turns out it's actually Miller being picky about the script is what's delaying the film, I guess WB are sick of his shit and are trying to dump him as his contract expires in may.
Logan Walker
>creates a cult-following Of extraordinarily stupid people.
Luke Moore
>BvS collapsed in its own OW and had such poor legs it failed to make a billion Well yeah, it was literally dealing with a coordinated media smear attack. >Snyder didn't do that, that was Ayer Snyder mapped out the film and was highly involved in the casting process. Do you know nothing about film production? >Wonder Woman was successful because of a charismatic lead >Gal Gadot >Charismatic Now you're just trolling right? Also, you know Snyder cast Gadot in BvS? Or did you conveniently forget that....? > JL was better received than BvS Okay, so you're definitely trolling
Kevin Scott
Seriously though, fuck Cyborg. Nobody gives half a shit about Cyborg. If they needed to fill a diversity quota they should have rebooted GL to use Jon Stewart and killed two birds with one stone.
When has anybody in the history of ever said, “I hope we see Cyborg”
Jason Lewis
>cult following
Of Yea Forums shitposters
Camden Ross
What? Are you implying is a bad that we don't get two hours trailers like in marvel? They're still connected, they just don't best you on the head with it
Are you retarded? If they were sick of his shit they wouldn't have even bothered humoring him regarding the rewrite at all. Clearly him and Morrison have something genuinely interesting if they're willing to even consider their take. And if you would rather have the Spiderman Homecoming 2.0 Marvel Quipfest that Daley/Goldstein probably have to offer you should just kill yourself.
