It's literally a film about an alien taking in men for their flesh and gaining human emotions in the process. Alien coming of age story essentially, just told in an extremely Kubrick like portrayal

That's the portrayal of the literal opposite of empathy of compassion that she previously experienced from humans

This movie is slow, and relies on having almost no dialogue to make it seem interesting by being confusing by not having any clear indication of what is happening or why.
"Make it confusing, so that those that get it can pretend to be so smart."
