the artstyle of this show is so fucking disgusting
you get used to it plus some characters can look hot
reddit.
I want to fuck the fat jewess from this show so bad
When it airs yea. It hasn't been good in like 7 years though and they take 3 years per super shitty season now.
Sneed
No, because that's how you get ants.
does pam get blacked in this show
I cant stop farting when I cum on my hermit crab.
It's still airing? Why can't decent shows end with dignity?
I think I just saw this post in a different thread
she gets every type ed
The show has been shit as of late, but what's wrong with the art style?
Looks good to me, are you just shitposting?
no it looks like dick
i dont wanna have to get used to it
Noir and Danger Island are better than the normal series.
I do not find this show at all funny
>haha they said shut up again
too much yelling
Pam is hot
Give it time. The humor really picks up by around Season 5. Whichever the Archer Vice season is.
did the people from Sealab 2021 make Archer?
was good seasons 1-3 then 4 onward are a complete and utter joke and nobody knows how to end it.
They did. Sealab was actually an ok show.
Archer fucking sucks
i wouldn't mind if they stop throwing the topical jokes within new season, plus how many more seasons can they carry on? the next one is space, will they make him wake up after that?
Contradictory responses, ask again later
terrible taste, so much so that I think this is bait
This. I'll even argue that season 2 was the peak, and season 3 mostly plateud.
You have shit taste
Why does anyone like this show?
I remember a guy who always referenced this show, and it made me cringe.
No but I think you'll find the perfect community to discuss it over on reddit
idk, i do watch it sometimes.
I'm starting to think the show is a good autism test.
oh yeah?
bitch
Season 1 was the peak and I'm a die hard fan of the show
Havent seen anything after the garbage that was Vice. S1-3 were great, 4 started getting a little more annoying as each character was being written to be the worst version of themselves. And Vice just killed the rest of my interest in the show considering it felt like the creator was writing a fanfic with his own characters.
Havent seen the show since then and honestly, i never wanted to go back. Vice was THAT shitty
It should've ended ages ago.
i really wish they didn't drop the look for his dad, i guess they are trying to end it with that reveal
Finally, someone who's right.
S1 was best because it mixed in enough spy stuff with the jokes to keep the setting grounded.
S2 is still good but starts getting a little more wacky.
The humor in S3 onwards is basically just awful, meta humor that doesnt have to make any more effort because they just reference old jokes constantly.
do you think the artist have used the assets to make porn? i know they show them humping but actual penetration shots or masturbation
It's just the same jokes over and over. Essentially reddit
t. anime fag
Sneed
i get they screw up every mission but there has to be a limit on how many times they can pull this off
I want to fuck Pam. Especially skinny Pam.
Archer has always been a duo joke show
>Play off one character with your own jokes
>Second character is allowed a witty retort
>Even when in a group you’ll notice only 2 ppl talk per scene
Where Archer starts definitively declining is season 4 when the writers decided every scene should include as many characters as possible
>Every session shows multiple ppl talking, often without the first person that speaks talking about until every single characters speaks themself
>The show resulted in many meta jokes and catch phrases and the writers failed to understand that those things caught on because of the situational humor from the joke setup, not the phrase itself
>This results in sometimes 2 or more people sporadically screeching a catch phrase in the middle of dialogue even if it completely unrelated to what others are discussing
I’ve never seen a show become a ZombieShow faster than Archer, which kills me because it was one of the funniest shows of all time when it came out
>I’ve never seen a show become a ZombieShow faster than Archer
Dexter says hello. Also this fucking Shield Hero animu shit if you're a weeb. Shit went from "interesting" to "fucking regular ol' faggotry" in about 3 or 4 episodes.
No.
>skinny Pam.
ew, fat pam is best pam
>Shit went from "interesting" to "fucking regular ol' faggotry" in about 3 or 4 episodes.
That's every other anime, to be fair.
i would fuck Krieger or that russian bald guy Katya is with or the mountain climber named Crash, now that man, sploosh
yep
I've been rewatching season 1 trying to figure out how a show could be so funny and just turn to utter shit.
DANGER ZONE
XD
plenty were flanderized
Yeah, Vice sucked nuts. Honestly the series should've ended after season three like they originally planned to do.
Vice had no idea what direction to take itself, so all the jokes either fell flat or were completely forced. I had a very hard time finishing all the episodes after about the twentieth time Pam made a
>REMEMBER ME? I'M TOTALLY ADDICTED TO COCAINE WOW SO WACKY AND RANDOM LMAO
reference.
I want to fuck pam so hard
Fuck yeah!
Agreed. Mostly because I was fine with the initial 3 options laid out by Mallory, with Nikolai being the most likely. Then we are supposed to just take some random Italian as the most likely father, and Mallory for some reason just told Nikolai he was the father out of shock. The dropped plots are a real shame
>Trexler was mind raped and ODIN never really was relevant again
>The Wee Baby Seamus never grew up to look like Cyril
>Barry's master plan is rendered entirely irrelevant
>None of the villains or potential reoccuring characters really come back
>Cold War?
There was some potentially great shit there
Nana Bear.
Instead we'll be on the third season of Archer's coma. God damn it.
It’s still funny enough to warrant a watch. I personally think the shuffling they’re doing with the characters and setting is interesting just because I’ve never seen it done before. It’s not as funny as it used to be and the characters yell at each other too much, but it’s still carried by the performances, especially H. Jon Benjamin and Jessica Walter and Amber Nash
It stopped being funny when the characters lost their lethality and just became silly versions of themselves
Season 1
>Every spy is an absolutely cold blooded killer with zero remorse for their actions. The humor of this is most of their willingness to kill and use spycraft is for petty office related activity. Beyond that the office while not willing to murder to the same degree is almost equally sociopathic in everyday office bullshit
Later on
>Each character is a meme version of themselves who actually are supposed to be likable enough fucked up people
Sealab 2021, Frisky Dingo, & Archer all look super plastic and the artstyle always felt like something that was put together to look good and busy in order to cover up for the fact that in all of the shows there's rarely anything ever actually going on on the screen, or that any action on the screen tends to be very linear and uninspired.
Honestly I'd criticism it more, but most shows in the same sort of genre at the time all of these shows were made have the same sort of problem where the only reason the shows seemed to be animated was an excuse to have a bit show without actually having to have anyone do any sort of bits. So most of the time it's just people standing around spouting one liners until the scene changes so that people can spout more one-liners in a different place and maybe in different outfits. In that regard these three shows stand out above their competition by leagues and bounds by a least having their characters being made of pretty plastic as opposed to shitty half-baked plastic.
That's my two cents on it. What do you guys think? Am I full of shit or do I have a point?
And honestly how the fuck it are we supposed to accept Archer being in a coma? We have seasons of cyborg gags to fix everything and somehow bullets from a celebrity bimbo put Archer in a long term coma? The same Archer who might as well have a wolverine healing factor for being able to survive injuries.
I... I didn't know I could get this hard.
what is even katya doing with the kgb? they don't seem like they are relevant anymore for isis. barry looks like he is out of the picture i guess. all we have right now is archer waking up from the coma and hopefully they all have some steady job
>Honestly I'd criticism it more
You're right. It also lost a lot of its feeling when they left New York and spying in general. I actually didn't mind Vice, but it was pretty memey. But after they moved to LA I could barely tolerate it, and it was one of the only shows I liked.
I think they did that because Archer is more or less bullet proof, take him down a peg. However this didn't result in good tv, it resulted in three dream seasons with zero stakes, fucking with the formula every time just to see if something new would work. No, turning Kreiger into a bird isn't genius, Adam, you fucking faggot.
I really liked the latest season, just because I liked the World War II era setting, and the pilot character for archer. Hoping upcoming season is a decent 2001 spoof. After that I would like to see a return to the regular show.
You are full of shit because your major criticism is centered around needing animation to supply constant action to stimulate a child like brain to do the bare minimum of paying attention.
Beyond that 2/3 the three shows do not even fall within the bounds of the criticism you are making. Sealab is using animation from the 1960s so is not related at all to your whole criticism. Frisky Dingo is a follow up to Sealab in using the same writer but now original animation. The animation is essential for the story telling since you cannot have a character like Killface on a show with a budget. You can't have anything in Frisky Dingo in live action on a budget. Beyond that, it was on such a short budget it literally was cancelled for not getting enough money going.
Finally Archer is centered on characters that are idealized in someways and realistic in others. It is a work sitcom for unnatural people who really do not exist in the real world. That also requires animation and the animation it has does what it wants perfectly
You get the impression the Cold War ended sometime around Vice. Because everybody from ISIS to the CIA acts like it did, to the point of the head of the KGB having so little to do she can just come over to try to hook up with Archer.
I enjoyed the Season 6 return to spying stuff, but it was such a wasted opportunity for the cast to now actually be working for a real intelligence agency against the KGB
Vice was okay but the problem was they never fully engaged the premise
The last three episodes where they were fully immersed in the drug trade, the arms dealing, the CIA, and the source of the cocaine were the best by a mile. But the majority of the season had nothing to do with the drug dealing premise, and really was a waste of time for the characters. They also all became too stupid, when earlier they would have at least just killed the problems they had while being somewhat stupid
>Mallory would have had Pam flensed for a tiny bit of what she did
>Lana with a baby not killing every single threat imaginable without hesitation?
>Krieger not being effective in tech at all and sacrificing his legitimate achievements for laughs
>Any character beyond the drones needing money
>Any of the cast not knowing how to handle the black market
>Woodhouse not helping at all with drug dealing
It looks very flat. Almost like realistic South Park
>I enjoyed the Season 6 return to spying stuff, but it was such a wasted opportunity for the cast to now actually be working for a real intelligence agency against the KGB
I actually did too, though it was a weak season, the return to form was enough to make me happy.
>Any character beyond the drones needing money
This is a big one. Mallory and Archer are loaded. Literally never thought about that.
>no webms
Yeah, by season 3 they had just started shouting "PHRASING!" or some other catch phrase 25 times per episode, and the plotlines got lazier and lazier. It was also the point at which it ceased to be episodic and started having season long plot threads, which the show format is TERRIBLE for.
I liked archer better when they were secret agents. Comfy bond style locales and ski lodges etc. were way more fun to watch. Tropical shit is boring and not interesting.
>stopped watching after vice
This is everybody. Everybody.
Anyone know which episode webm related is
Only the first 3 seasons are worth it
pretty sure it's this one

I honestly think the only real major problem with Vice is Pam on coke. She's not just a one-note unfunny joke but is actively unpleasant to watch. The rest of it is actually alright though. Sick aesthetic and locations, surprising amount of character development for most of the characters, cool action séquences...
It was actually trying something new instead of just being as loud and obnoxious as possible. I honestly think the only real major problem with Vice is Pam on coke. It's not bad. The thing that preceeded archer, Frisky Dingo? Absolutely disgusting. Earliest seasons of archer had a bit of it, but it got plenty better.
Fate of pretty much every show that lasts longer than it should, but I am guilty of it as while Archer pre vice is the best, I still enjoy archer and would rather it not disappear. Still I'd agree it really ought to end after the sci-fi dream sequence. If it continues after Archer wakes up then that's the bridge too far, because the wake-up should be the last episode if not last scene.
Vice and Pam becoming disgusting cocaine thing is when I really hated her character. They've almost all got flanderized but Pam and Sheryl's are among the worst.
It might end up bullshitting that it was ever a coma and instead he's been reading stories, become a writer, an actor, or daydreaming. Though the latter would be even worse because it'd be "It was just a dream...of a dream!"
Funny someone else got viscerally disgusted with coke-pam. She was actually a pretty good choice as the relatively straight-man in danger-island, a bit more of a voice of reason in the earlier parts (before the tribesmen and lol glutton wants to eat humans). I forget what the hell she did in dreamland 1947 LA.
You sound like you only know Archer from memes and threads like these.
Lol, I'm clearly retarded
>You are full of shit because your major criticism is centered around needing animation to supply constant action to stimulate a child like brain to do the bare minimum of paying attention.
I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to disagree. If you go out of your way to make the decision to make an animated TV show, then you should at least make the effort to make it animated. I'm not saying that the characters have to be bouncing off of the walls like loony toons characters, and I understand that budget limitations are a thing, and that only so much can be done. However, I've consistently seen cartoons and animation that is made for "adults" that from a pure animation perspective has less than half the overall production quality than shows with similar budgets made for children.
It's fucking lazy, at least in my opinion.
>Beyond that 2/3 the three shows do not even fall within the bounds of the criticism you are making. Sealab is using animation from the 1960s so is not related at all to your whole criticism.
Out of the three I'd give Sealab 2021 the biggest pass, because from my memory it has the best writing of the three and it's the oldest of the three. However, it's the same thing with the same problem. None of the individual assets or the design really look bad, everything looks alright, but the way it's actually animated is very phoned in. People usually stand stock still staring at each other with frozen faces for extended periods of time, maybe they shift around a bit, but half the time it's just their whole body moving and that's it.
Again, it reaks of laziness when fucking kid's cartoons can have scenes where characters are bouncing around, flexing, stretching, moving, ect. It wouldn't take much, just some gestures, facial expressions, ect, things that you would expect when talking to someone normally.
>t. faggot
Pam and Lana are hot as fuck dude, how can you not see that?
>The thing that preceeded archer, Frisky Dingo? Absolutely disgusting.
>Not liking Dingo
She was a hooker smuggling tranny or something in Dreamland, which was actually not that bad. Actually Pam is great in pretty much any season except Vice
>Frisky Dingo is a follow up to Sealab in using the same writer but now original animation. The animation is essential for the story telling since you cannot have a character like Killface on a show with a budget. You can't have anything in Frisky Dingo in live action on a budget.
Duh
>Beyond that, it was on such a short budget it literally was cancelled for not getting enough money going.
This is going to be an unpopular opinion, but if you literally can't afford to make your animated show well, then don't make an animated show.
>Finally Archer is centered on characters that are idealized in someways and realistic in others. It is a work sitcom for unnatural people who really do not exist in the real world. That also requires animation and the animation it has does what it wants perfectly

Fine, yes, I get that if you want to tell the story here in a visual medium, short of million dollar budgets you need to do animated. Cool, we understand each other? I recognize that point. Meanwhile I'm not going to say that Archer is a bad show, even though I personally don't care for the writing I get that a lot of people like it even if I don't.
And frankly, looking at it, I think I'm going to walk back my criticism on Archer's animation. Looking at it a bit, it is a lot better than I remember it, probably one of the better examples of western style adult targeted animation (and trust me anime doesn't get a pass for being shit either). I think for some reason in my head that I was conflating the somewhat similar artstyle/writing to Frisky Dingo, which was a lot worse on both counts.

No because we need more paid shill threads to drive ticket sales to Captain Marvel goyim.
Archer has been shit for over 5 years now, There I said what we're all thinking.
Good to see you appreciate the importance of letting Reddit determine what you like, user.
The problem is you're focusing on the things in life that don't really matter. When I was a kid I had hopes and dreams. We all did. But over time, the daily grind gets in the way and you miss the things that really matter, even though they are right in front of you, staring you in the face. I think the next time you should ask yourself "Am I on the right track here?". I don't mean to be rude but people like you I really pity. So maybe you could use the few brain cells you have and take advantage of the knowledge I have given you now. Good luck.
