I have an anxiety problem that pretty much made me a recluse, a shut-in, for about eight years. I worked for my father the whole time, but I would have at the very least a mild panic attack every time I would have to deal with customers. It was usually worse.
I know that I'm going to get shit on by everyone for recommending this, but I went on generic Paxil and now I have job and friends and everything is better. Some people say that their dicks stop working when they take SSRIs. I must be high-test since that hasn't happened to me. I'd recommend trying them to see if they solve your problems, but I'd quit them if they killed my dick.

I can function okay in the world. I live on my own, I work, support myself, but I had all this little fucking things that sneak in. Like, say I wanted tacos for dinner. A normal person would go by hamburger, tortillas, seasoning, etc at the grocery store and be done with it.

Something I didn't exactly consider, though I caught one side of it, was Vector jokingly saying to Chiren that he was sending Hugo to Zalem as a promise. Now of course, this reveals to her that getting to Zalem is an unobtainable goal, that it is just a scam she was falling for, but just a thought I had in the back of my mind, maybe just my autistic brain not catching this, is why would he say that to her, in front of her, if he said he was sending her to Zalem, and then on this viewing, I realized, her never, ever explicitly stated, as Vector himself, he was doing it. She was following along with him in hopes that if she appeased him, his high connections could get him there. The only time we ever see and hear the words Zalem come out of Vector's mouth is when he's under Nova's control. Now of course, Vector and people who do become under Nova's control, don't necessarily know or remember what happened during the take over. So Vector saying that in front of Chiren makes sense, as he never mentioned Zalem to her. She just realizes for herself she'll never get there. It's a tiny set up, but makes sense for everyone involved with the scamming. The only person Vector ever said he was sending to Zalem was Hugo, of course lying to his face. Apologies for my extremely autistic rambling.

It's Vector's arrogance that causes his downfall in the end and this is the clearest example of it. He assumes that people are as selfish as him which turns out not to be the case.

Just another tiny detail I liked, comes right after she first meets the dog. Of course, the flyer sets up the harsh undertones of Iron City, and that bounty hunters exist, but I almost view this flyer as a symbolic warning to her, as it comes right after she has such a happy moment with the dog. And right after she sees the paper with the murder writing, the centurion and Hugo show up in a matter of seconds.
Thing is though, he said that after he let that slip out. All Vector promised Chiren at first was "the best of everything."

I like how Vector shows emotion when he tells her about Zalem, like he really doesn't want to hurt Chiren and he hopes that she changes her mind, which makes him a pawn and a slave of Nova that doesn't control his fate which makes Nova pure evil without any humanity in him, I don't know how they will handle it in the sequels

I'm assuming Mars Chronicle is starting with Alita being a kid and will go up until she gets involve with URM, or whatever its called, and then it will cut to her after the tournament. She's on her way to Mars at the end of LO, which I just reread. The URM soldier that Zazzie fought was probably Erica, or whatever her childhood friend's name was. Alita is going to run back into her.

Right, for some reason on my previous viewings, I got the impression Vector mentioned Zalem somewhere to Chiren, but I realized he doesn't. You could MAYBE argue that happens off screen, but it makes more sense he didn't as it fits Chiren's diluted idea he will send her there, without actually saying it.

Yes, he says that quote after Chiren calls out his bluff. And right after that, he explains to Alita how he always keeps his promise to send people to Zalem by dissecting their organs and handing them out to Nova. Again, a hint that Vector did discuss Zalem with Chiren. But even if Vector didn't make that promise, he must've realized by one way or another what Chiren really wanted and still played along. Vector had convinced himself that he wasn't really lying, because people were still going up to Zalem even if it wasn't their full bodies.

Go to local theaters and ask them if they have them. Maybe you'll have your own fan-shattering cardboard standee too!!

I mentioned this previous threads, but the difference in Alita and Hugo's worldview. When he takes her to see "the best view in town," you don't have to go any further than where they initially look. You see Hugo just looking right up at Zalem, while Alita is focused on the ground, then he corrects her to look up.
