Befora Infinite War I was so tired of capeshit that I can't remember the last superhero movie I watched, it was probably Iron Man 3 or Captain America 2 (either way, it was shit and I dropped capeshit).
Then Infinite War came and I was excited because the film had the whole "final episode" aura.
I didn't watch Captain Marvel, Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor or Black Panther and, honestly, I'm not interested. I'll watch Endgame just to see the shit they'll make, but I'm not interested in what comes next. In the worst case scenario, Thanos looking at the sunset was the final scene to me.

point is Marvel may have hit their ceiling domestically (Avengers 1 is still the highest grossing mcu movie adjusted for inflation) but overseas has big potential for growth. In 10 years India will be similar to what China is today for example.

I don't think it will burst per say but I wouldn't be surprised if it winds down and becomes a shell of its former self in the late 2020's or early 2030's. Not going to just have people leave in droves and marvel/dc films start failing left and right but I could see after they do a good avengers and x men crossover film, marvel films would possibly slowly decline in sales and then possibly sharply declining afterwards depending on the quality of the later films and whether the later phases will have as much excitement as the build up to Thanos in Infinity war and End Game.

Quality wise, you're right that it can't maintain building interest and an all star cast forever. RDJ has to retire eventually. Financially, however, I think it'll have decades of dividends even if they start to compromise our memories of the original cinematic universe. Most of us agree that the Disney live action remakes of the 90s golden age are soulless cash grabs, but look at the cash they're bringing in. I think that a burnt out remake is unfortunately in the cards for the MCU, especially if Feige retires or gets MeTood by some right wing troll

In any case I am talking strictly about the box office. India has the potential to bring numbers like China once they manage to lift more people from poverty to middle class, just like China did.
