One plane was taxi-ing off the runway at Tenerife and may have missed their turn off, or not come to it yet because they were unfamiliar with the aiport and it was heavy fog. For about a second or so you'd notice that your torso was being ripped away along with your legs, then the fire, and then your head would hit something destroying your brain and killing you.

I meet lots of pilots at my job and the women ones are the friendliest and most professional. but the old men ones are the most trustworthy
the young men are neither polite nor trustworthy and everyone else complains about them

I've had, what felt like, two close calls on flights. Both out of California.
First one

The dumbass KLM pilot filled the plane with fuel so it exploded into a huge fire ball. And the ones who lived on the pan am where at the front ahead of where the impact was. The funny thing is that he wasn't full of fuel they probably would have been able to clear the pan am.

I've flown countless times over 40 years and have never even experienced minor engine trouble. In fact, in 40 years and hundreds of flights I've never been on a plane that even had to turn around or was in any sort of emergency of even a minor kind, like a sick passenger.

Also, passengers did take down the terrorists on United Flight 93.

United 93 was, but mostly because the hijacking happened right after both towers got hit (news got on the plane by phone) which seemed to encourage the passengers to take out the hijackers (also because they had a passenger on board who was a trained pilot).

Yeah of course, I have a 20 hour layover in LA tomorrow. Your airline puts you in a hotel for the night wherever you finish the day at. Most airlines start at 30 dollars an hour. Senior flight attendants easily make 60+ an hour, its gross how overpaid we are.

It really depends. I worked 8 today, all I did was read and talk shit. You get per diem for every hour you're away from home, which adds up really quick.
Quite literally if you are above lukewarm IQ and know how to be smile and be friendly you can do it. Just a few weeks of paid training is all
