Zima Blue, The Secret War, Good Hunting, Shape-shifters, Lucky 13, and Beyond the Aquila Rift are the best episodes.
Sonnie's Edge is for faggots.

I started watching the series right now
I've seen Good Hunting at least 5 times now.
clean your pool
generals are cancer. end yourself
is that under shirt zima blue?
Which ones do you hope (if the story allowed it) will get a continuation in that universe? Suits seems pretty interesting, also shape shifters
why do discord trannies love generals so much
i bet you already made a discord channel to discuss this shit show
kek
Yes, the episode is a natural fit for Peterson cultists.
Fish Night is underrated as fuck
I was a fan until the ending
Imagine discussing a specific show on Yea Forums.
The horror.
>Suits seems pretty interesting
It was basically just a Battletech story on a frontier world, minus the energy shield. Hell, they even directly lifted a couple old Dark Age industrial mech designs. The dude who died with the laser was driving an actual Loadermech MOD-B from 2004.
But that's why I loved the fuck out of it.
There won't be any continuations.
It will be all new ones from all new short stories.
There's no value in continuation.
The Suits only caters to the StarCraft fans, and even then it's only a passable episode
KYS if you dislike this you low IQ want to feel special faggot
How's autism working out for you?
Why did you like it?
I thought it was about nostalgia and how all the horrible things about the past are forgotten when people get swept up in the fun of it.
reminds me of my last acid trip
How does that work considering the ending where he's brutally murdered?
>Shape-shifters
>good
user, it's terminal...
underrated
thehorrorzine.com
the original story makes more sense than the LDR version because it's the old guy who gets caught up in the sea and dies, the young sales rep said he never even saw the ocean, so it didn't make sense for him to suddenly join the fish and die.
That explains a lot.
>they shoehorned niggers in it
>Yea Forums-trannies' favorite episode
Exactly, he was killed by the past. He got caught up in how cool the past sea life was that he forgot how dangerous it was. He was looking through rose tinted glasses into the past.
>shoehorned niggers
would it be better with another generic super genius white guy making him a nigger added something & u know it
disappointed we didnt see the irish lass' titties in helping hand
So nostalgia is lethal?
Alright then.
mate, she had small boy tits, it's not worth it.
Most people are into Retro New Wave aesthetics were not even born in the 80's. They are nostalgic for a past that never existed, they want to be part of something that they have only heard about through the lens of nostalgia.
>Metaphors
All I could think of the entire time was Starcraft.
who cares what the robot became
>nigger woman created a robot and advanced AI
now that was a riot
redpill pls
seems like they were doing an intro cinematic for some starcraft 2 farmville moba mobile game
>hahah le ebin comical ebil hitler dies again and again
cringed so hard I almost broke my face and had the wokest fart of my life
Am I the only one who felt so sorry for Yan, I wished her and Liang would make a cute couple together and have a human-wolf hybrid family?
Yeah, I agree with you, guy who along with 200 other people make individual threads with 0 threadstarting value about capeshit. Fuck general threads! Go redditspam and let mods sort the rest!
I quit watching after like 5 minutes of Sonnie's Edge. It was just too edgy, I couldn't take it.
Does it get better?
1/4 of the episodes i just skipped halfway through & that trash was one
no
half is shit 1/4 is kino
Alternate Histories was fucking lazy Reddit writing. I half expected the narrator to day "ex dee"
Just read the short story instead, it’s free. It’s also a lot smarter than the short and subverts the cliche the short ran headlong into.
You could just hear the confused grunts and squeals when the writers read a story with a rich white businessman who wasn’t the bad guy, and when they saw the reveal the rape story was fake the cleaning crews were wiping it up for months
>the voice of the sidekick redneck
>SCV reportin' fer dooty!
>general
cringe
What happens in the short story?
Generals work well for a show like this where the episodes are 6-10 minute anthology. Do you really want to flood the board with 16 different threads about it?
>man this board is so full of zero value threads!
>I’ll make another one!!
only ones that aren't 100% shit or completely retarded:
>beyond the aquila rift
>the secret war
>zima blue (the nigger bit is dumb and unnecessary and serves no purpose beyond sjw pandering but the story is ok)
>CUZ I BEEN THROUGH THE DESERT ON A HORSE WITH NO NAME
Retard.
i think you've missed the whole subtle joke and reference. he was created as a SLAVE robot and served asa SLAVE robot basically thought different generations/owners who modified him and in the end he ended up being black.
Did you manage to get it now with your slow brain?
I think it's more to it than that, the negress scientist created her to be not just a slave robot, she developed and updated it over time, she nurtured it like a mother would to a child.
As she died and the robot got more advanced, he wanted to be more artistic and creative, and eventually make his final art piece the place where he was first conceived because it reminded him of his early days with his creator. So he sacrifices himself (or retires himself) as a pool cleaning slave robot to reconnect with his creator/mother, and become a family again.
That's why this story was so kino

check out the cover of the book the story is featured in
the author was "queer" so that means the episode was too?
mate, judge the work on its content
>Sonnie's Edge is for faggots.
Why?
I'm sexually attracted to dangerous female monsters.
I liked how half the stories were obviously barely retooled video game fanfiction.
hey fuck you, Suits was great
I think given the reaction from normies--Three Robots might return in some fashion. But everything else kind of has a definitive ending.

already your post is trash
Helping Hand didn't imply that the protag girl can save herself, she genuinely asked for a rescue team and they wouldn't reach her in time. How is this episode feminist again? Also i got Gravity vibes from it.
Lucky 13 was more about the ship than the pilot, she was there to fill in the story and show how much she cared about it but that's it
The Witness had a predictable loop story, but you're gay if you don't like latex babes and asian titties
Good Hunting gets a free pass because Yan is a qt, anyone who disagrees is clearly a faggot.
Beyond the Aquila Rift
oh that wasnt in any order of my personal preference
heres my list
yes, Beyond Aquila Rift has the hottest
think Blindspot might be the actual worst one
>protag feminist has fucked up past
>MUH DARK GRITTY POKÉMONS
>art and animation looks like it ripped off models from Dishonored and Prey
need I say more?
only good thing was the bi-curious evil chick, she had a good twist
>all these listed cons
What the fuck they have to do with what I said?
People who read Beyond the Aquila Rift: if this was all a simulation--is the Suzy waking up and seeing Greta as something else ever explained?
Agree, there was nothing really interesting in the story, the animation was mediocre and the ending "lol they are all actually fine" cheapened any possible emotional impact.
Shill thread
it was just good clean fun
nothing wrong with that, turn your brain off and enjoy
:^)
Fuck off loser
>>art and animation looks like it ripped off models from Dishonored and Prey

>Blur studios ripped off Dishonored
Dude, Blur MADE the Dishonored cinematics, along with a ton of Elder Scrolls and KOTOR, they're normally 100% video games
>turn your brain off and enjoy
unironically FUCK all those TYBO fags
>Am I the only one who felt so sorry for Yan, I wished her and Liang would make a cute couple together and have a human-wolf hybrid family?
I felt sorry for her too, but to achieve happiness Anglo must be first driven off the Motherland!
>Am I the only one who felt so sorry for Yan, I wished her and Liang would make a cute couple together and have a human-wolf hybrid family?
It's based on Scalzi, who is redditor incarnate
Serious question if the alien in Beyond the Aquila Rift looked more human (but not human like at all) like like the pic and the base was not so disgustingly organic do you think the protag was going to be so upset? Would you if you are in his place?
>As she died and the robot got more advanced, he wanted to be more artistic and creative, and eventually make his final art piece the place where he was first conceived because it reminded him of his early days with his creator
That's why Zima Blue as a novel is better. In the novel Zima only at the end discovers his origins, the blue square was a faint, faint memory in his life that he lived for thousands of years.
>Good Hunting ("colonial masters" are evil rapists)
>Anglos
>Not raping and being evil during colonial times
Dude
I understood it as his subconsciousness acting out against the illusion of everything being fine.
The protag was a fag I'd fuck the space bug too.
found the story board for beyond the aquila rift
oglaf.com
>in an episode about a steam punk future with chinese furry magic spirits?
Filthy Gweilo doesn't understand that the whole short was an allegory of China modernizing itself after forceful transformation by the West and taking revenge on those who wronged her.
It made me nostalgic for Starcraft custom maps too!
I don't know what happened in the original short story, but my interpretation is she was already dead when Thom first woke up in the simulation.
his subconscious telling him he's fucked
>People who read Beyond the Aquila Rift: if this was all a simulation--is the Suzy waking up and seeing Greta as something else ever explained?
In the novel Suzy is asleep too IIRC and they share the same simulation
Why aren't there more shows like this in general?
Where they get a group of people and animators and everyone gets their own time to go with whatever idea they want?
This show was very enjoyable, all the different art styles were great and a lot of the episodes seemed like they weren't trying to take themselves too seriously and were having fun
Everyone I've showed this to enjoyed it for the same reasons
Just a show with unique designs, weird ideas, that doesn't try too hard (aside from some episodes that focus on SJW) and is fun to watch
It's like I could tell everyone who worked on this series enjoyed working on it and it really shows when the yogurt episode, swimming in the desert episode, waifu robot fox episode and the Russia Red Army zombie episodes are the best
thats why she said he needed more time the shock of a dead crew being lost in space & disgusting aliens was to much little by little he would've been ok
but spiderfu doesn't even bother mentioning the rest of the crew at the end illusion
I think that was the point of the animators. IIRC the short story did not go too much into detail about the alien and the hive.
Also "Horrific predator lurks in space to eat humans" is such a base line SciFi trope, that they doubled down on such aesthetics to hammer home that this horrible creature is actually benevolent. Like a reverse Siren.
IMO it is basically a hospice nurse. It can not keep the beings alive that end up so far out. All it can do is to ease their suffering and make them comfortable for their remaining days, which it does.
Maybe it eats the corpses after that though.
>ywn be a technomancer joining up with an assasin cyborg foxgirl waifu to thwart Anglo plots and reunite the great Chinese nation
I know The Secret War is one of the better episodes of the show, but why does the whole premise and story play out like it's another Call of Duty zombies map?
I genuinely enjoyed the fight scene in Sonnie's Edge. The characters were kind of cool too, except for the main lesbo. Out of all the episodes, I hope for this to get some form of continuation.
I want to fuck that female monster
>IIRC the short story did not go too much into detail about the alien and the hive.
In the short story the wormholes they use are ancient alien devices, and it is implied that the alien is either the member of the race that created them or some kind of biocreation responsible for caretaking(it is the station and much larger than the spider).
Also there is no ambiguity about it being helpful like in the short video(where the MC is malnourished and his ship destroyed, nothing like that in the novel)
its premise was shit, you'd have to drink more onions to think it needs a sequel
Because proper animation is expensive, the small little ideas usually die on paper.
In some industries these are known as "one shots" and if interest is high enough they continue developing the ideas.
Only a few of those actually make it into a series in the long term.
It's refreshing to see these short ideas because the viewer can fill in a lot more of the gaps in their mind.
The surgery scene really fucked me up.
>that scream
Not him, but what was shit about it?
the whole situation is so fucked that the alien being horrific is more like a cherry on top
they didn't build up any of the characters so you didn't give a shit about them and wasted a lot of time with the origin story of the monsters nobody cares about. more like a russian hellboy or metro 2033 ripoff than cod
>Also there is no ambiguity about it being helpful like in the short video
True.
But like I said, that was probably the intention of the animators. To reverse that old SciFi trope.
The cat episode was basically just JoJo's pillar men right?
No, she's dead Jim. Thom's the only survivor on that ship in the book, and you see the long-dead corpses in the episode.
Philip K. Dick's Electric Dreams
It's an anthology of said authors works, and each episode is a self-contained 50-minute loose adaptation of a story. The quality and production do vary, but there are some gems there.
Was she purposefully plucking the spaceships to her lair to eat people? She was most certainly not taking care of the dude, seeing as how he was really withered in the moment of clarity scene.
kinda like the idea that the missing ships are a wormhole use "tax" like every thousand ships that go thru they take one
>Was she purposefully plucking the spaceships to her lair to eat people? She was most certainly not taking care of the dude, seeing as how he was really withered in the moment of clarity scene.
Nope, it was trying to help him in the novels.
And as he was drifting for hundreds of years it figures whatever substance sustained him in the stasis tank was barely able to keep him alive.
because it is expensive and there is no way of making money out of them
I'll give Ice Age this, it does have a nice premise that an entire developing civilzation is stuck in a time loop in a freezer, but that's where it stops getting interesting. Also this episode was comfy for MEW, if you hated it you're a fag.
see
I liked the humor focused episodes more than the others.
Three robots was amazing, except for the ending.
here's your Ice Age prequel bro
anyone else like all the symbols they used?
>mild SJW themes
>Helping Hand (strong female character)
>Lucky 13 (strong female character)
Explain to me why a human that can solve their own professional problems is propaganda. I expect that any human that does a job can do it well. If I were, like in the shorts, an astronaut or a pilot universe, I dont care what the fuck are my colleagues, I expect them to perform well. what in the fuck is SJW about that?
>The Witness (exploited asian whore theme)
user, I think you are reading too much into it, but yeah, the club scenes are somewhat "unnecesary bait" for both sides
>Zima Blue (gender and race swap from original material)
I could not care less in this one case. I dont know the source material, and maybe thanks to the short I will be intereted now.
>Three Robots (that one guy last thread was mad about a climate disaster joke)
>Caring about that shit
>Classifying it as SJW
Come the f on.
>extreme SJW warning
OOOOH scary, trigger alert. more like some SJW bait ahead
>Sonnies Edge (female rape survivor turned into badass out for revenge)
More than the sexual abuse, the short makes emphasis on the fact that she was abused further by inflicting extra physical pain. But bait elements are present and many fell for them.
>Good Hunting ("colonial masters" are evil rapists)
Well, in many colinies, a lot of abuses by the colonialists were made, but yeah it was strange that they choosed the sexual angle when they had TONS of stuff to choose from.
>Alternate Histories (kill baby hitler meme)
MEH, it seems that now that you have leart to use a hammer, you are seeing nails everywhere. Nah user, this one is wrong.
I guess some are seeing SJW agenda whenever and wherever is a capable female doing a job.
But meh, again, in this case, If I had a wife and we were farmers, I expect her to do her job and to do it well as a team, dunno what the fugg is wrong about that.
I want to FUCK that sassy robot
if you pay attention to each episode, they pretty much give away the twist to their stories, also the first icon for Aquila rift is kek
i think the alien was cute
I don't think so. I watched i 3 times as far as I can see it there is there is some anomaly that fucks up the board computer and send ships far far from the target. It is always on the same spot. Spider creatures build base there and maybe to study the humans maybe to eat the dead humans (maybe consume the stasis liquid it have to keep the people alive so probably have some nutrition value). They are highly intelligent and somehow ethical so don't kill anyone who is alive but it has no way to feed them so they eventually die. I don't know if there is a way someone to return back home even if it takes centuries after all they used some kind of jump gate to travel so far and I guess it is next to impossible to return home without jump gate.
Say "terrabyte", because this one's going in my cringe compilation.
*snap*
What does the cross symbol mean? Why do only some episodes have it?
shit taste.
Three Robots was great but yoghurt and hilter were garbage
just watched em all, love death robots, unironic thoughts:
sonnies edge: 7/10 - good concept
three robots: 3/10 - just patronizing overall, a little funny but overall meaningless
the witness: 5/10 - not much substance, the style was fine but inconsistent. Also very predictable.
suits: 7/10 - fun but not much more, nothing wrong with it at all, light hearted fun action, almost seemed like a kids game cutscene, lacked depth, or weight
sucker of souls: 5/10 - fine, not much else to say, not much depth, not much of anything, cat trope is kinda old
yogurt: 7/10 - great concept exploration, just the right length.
aquila rift 8/10 - good, a bit predictable but good execution and solid (though unoriginal) concept. great visuals, good ending.
good hunting 5/10, ok, this one had a great start, good animation, but making it fantasy then getting preachy weakened it, making 'white men' out to be all evil/bad weakens it. Big concept they could have played with.
the dump 4/10, ok but not very interesting, there's some slime monster that eats city inspectors that try to mess with the hillbilly, and he keeps it inline, meh
shape shifters 3/10, ? what even was this one, does anyone like it ?
helping hand, 5/10, ok concept like 127 hours in space, but the science was awful, and it was too convenient, she gave up and then suddenly got inspired to live at 2 min of O2?
fish night, 6/10, fine, more mysterious than story driven
lucky 13, 7/10, I liked it a lot, though i wish they had played up the ship personality bit more, shown that it was really 'alive', good scifi action, fine concept
zima blue, 8/10, a bit of a meme but I liked it, solid concept, one of the more original shorts that explores scifi big questions.
blindspot, 5/10, fine, forgettable train heist.
ice age, 7/10, funny, the end was a bit meh, but fun concept and executed well.
alternate histories, 4/10, this is a classic concept done poorly. I didn't enjoy it or find it clever.
secret war, 7/10, fun action short
I don’t know if their minds were linked but in the end her stasis cell had biohazard tape all over it, so she definitely died. Now that I think about it, she was pretty delirious when she came out of her stasis cell from the beginning, so that probably indicates that she was closer to dying compared to the others.
In the episode the pilot mentions the Q-Jibs are a tad bit off and the navigators tries out a "shortcut" to get to their destination faster.
My interpretation was the new navigational system combined with the Q-Jibs being off is what threw them off course.
Of course, they were using an alien technology that they had no idea how to use. It's only understandable if the alien tech has some bugs or if the people using it for FTL travel fuck it up somehow.
Non of those explain why it's bad.
>protag feminist has fucked up past
This is bad how?
>MUH DARK GRITTY POKÉMONS
You can say this about any movie that has monster fighting, also pokemons are bad? Why?
>art and animation looks like it ripped off models from Dishonored and Prey
Again how is this bad? Also the animation was superb, definitely in the top 5 out of all 18 episodes.
the yogurt episode was like a fart
>good hunting 5/10, ok, this one had a great start, good animation, but making it fantasy then getting preachy weakened it, making 'white men' out to be all evil/bad weakens it.
>white men
>Anglos
n-no, you are not allowed to disagree or be contrarian or refute my p-points
breddy good tbqh
It was shit
man gets eaten by ghost fish woiop de deepo deoo
she was raped, but her real edge was that she was fighting for her life since she's always in the monster
werewolves are just so fucking gay
so you guys really don't like Helping Hand and Fish Night?
I thought they were pretty funny
I honestly thought the werewolves will start fucking each other to assert dominance
As a white person, it boggles my mind that other white people can see a white person doing something evil in a work of fiction and get mad about the evil person being the same race as them.
Do you think the world will just forget about the white supremacy purported by colonialists and industrialists if its not shown in a fucking cartoon? Get real.
Also, you never see these people complain about black/asian/latino villains, only whites, how pathetic.
Why is ICE AGE too underrated? No gore/nude/edge shits????
Fish Night had amazing visuals.
Helping Hand was too gory for me
kino
I could've done without the rape backstory desu. It seems like the writers leaned on that to make her a more sympathetic character.
You could leave the basic backstory the same "assaulted by estate gang. Skull caved in" and it would've been the same but the extra "oh yeah they raped and used her too" seemed gratuitous.
thats because its 2019 and you dont SEE any black/asian/latino villains
my interpretation
>Sonnie's Edge
Cross (or multiplication) is used to show love for snakes, or that creature in the tank
>Sucker of Souls
Again could be multiplication of cats, there's also multiple cats in the short
>The Dump
Lighter (x2?), well the hillbilly and the city inspector both have lighters so that counts?
>Shape-Shifters
The X here could imply death (other than the skull) like when the dog soldier's brother died, or multiplication of werewolves
>Lucky 13
Cross could be misinterpreted as multiplication, but could also mean the "number of times" Lucky 13 has killed its squad in the past and saved its crew when the black fem pilot was onboard
>Alternate Histories
Crosses obviously represent different timelines that never happened and are therefore wrong, and note the clock hands on the right are shaped like a correct tick, meaning the original true timeline.
That's all I got
Every race does that. Hollywood doesn't want to offend black people by implying they too can be evil. Blacks can only relate to black fictional characters. They're the shallowest race.
>Why they cast a brotha as the bad guy?
>I could've done without the rape backstory desu. It seems like the writers leaned on that to make her a more sympathetic character.
The rape symbolizes colonization and exploitation of China by the westerners. There's even allusion to Opium Wars in one scene.
Damn, these were so mediocre it hurts.
can we all agree that The Dumpwas the worst?
what a fail ass cop-out. the character literally revolves around being a rape victim and then goes, "NAH UH" with 0 evidence to the contrary
Black Panther had a black villain.
Anyone else watch Secret War in russian or was it just me?
>You will never
>NEVER
>ever have a threesome with Alita and Yan as they teach you how to use your new robo-penis modifications
>thats because its 2019 and you dont SEE any black/asian/latino villains
Aquaman had a black villain
cross means death, which is why the main 3 for the show are heart, cross, robot
No he was a "tragic victim" of "muh white world".
nope, but I am going to rewatch it right now in Russian
same regret as when I played the Metro games in english
I didn't know you could do this, I'll watch it in Russian too now.
yeah reminded me way too much of alita
nobody watched Aquaman
It’s fucking cliched as hell and boring. I wasn’t interested at all by the concept and if you feel the opposite then I suggest you watch more movies.
X-men had an Asian villain in the movie set in Japan.
A villain who was made out to be sympathetic even though his main goal was white genocide.
fuck I forgot that, but then they literally use a skull in some episodes which also implies death, so why do they use both icons with the same meaning?
good to know your critique was just your shitty personal opinions nobody cares about
next?
she literally says "I don't die", when offered money to lose the game. Also she walks barefeet not only because she's PUNISHED, but also because she probably doesn't feel anything there
Bitch, your entire critique is the same thing.
sonnies edge: 7/10 - okay premise, the blonde girl was cute and had nice tiddies
three robots: 7/10 - good humor, bad twist
the witness: 1/10 - the one point is for her bush
suits: 6/10 - fine
sucker of souls: 2/10 - boring
yogurt: 6/10 - had its moments, and they kept it really short
aquila rift: 9.5/10 - pretty close to perfection
good hunting: 9/10 - I liked almost everything about this, -1 point for furry
the dump: 1/10 - the point is for the thicc ladies in the magazine
shape shifters: 0/10 - complete trash
helping hand: 5/10 - nothing special
fish night: 7/10 - Fun concept with good execution
lucky 13: 7/10 - I enjoyed it
zima blue: 6.5/10 - I dunno about this one the setting is kinda weird but great ending
blindspot: 4/10 - okay action, "we were all backed up" twist too obvious
ice age: 5/10 - meh
alternate histories: 6/10 - A bit too drawn out, might be interesting with more examples than just hitler
secret war: 8/10 - great action and the human sacrifice was hot
fair point
none of that gives any depth to her character. as much as the writers wanted to say that isn't what they did, there is nothing more to her than muh raep victim complex. If we had a scene where she actually was trying to get on with her life it might have some weight but we never did. shes literally just a 1 note character.
biggest difference we have is on good hunting.
8>2>7>1>3>5>6>4
Fahve taaahms, you pissah
your ranking so far is shit
I refuse to watch it because it's on netflix.
>tfw finally convinced my wife that Netflix was satanic pro pedo garbage designed to brainwash our children so she canceled it.
white pride, world fucking wide
The other chick and especially the black dude were pretty bad, Tom was mediocre but this chick... holy fuck. The close ups on her are legitimately scary how good they are. I can't remember watching a 3D person being this convincingly human. Felt like they knew the eyes were gonna be on her so they dedicated more of their time animating/lighting/whatever-ing her. Maybe that was the point? Impressive tho.
>not using names
I can sort of remember the order but it's a bit easier with names buddy
yikes
Good Hunting > Three Robots >Beyond the Aquila Rift > Sonnie's Edge > The Witness >Sucker of Souls > When the Yogurt Took Over > Suits
Spider is a trap!
which were fully cg?
many of them were obvious (shape shifters)
but some had real actors (ice age)

>Try my hardest to ignore all this shit and just accept the show for what it is
>Leftist propoganda makes me unable to bare to sit through the 2nd episode, I tell her I got called into work early so need to sleep early
>Come on here while taking a shit before work and see people ranting about all this LGBT and stronk womyn shit as well
How do normies not see how obvious this shit is? Netflix is literal indoctrination, isn't it?
they literally have a diversity quota for that shit every show has to go through. this one at least got most of it out of the way in the first 10 minutes
honestly, if this show had literally ANYTHING ELSE as its opener other than Sonnie's Edge, Yea Forums wouldn't be immediately assuming it was leftist SJW propaganda.
Every media you've ever consumed has an agenda of some sort.
you can tell all the money went into Thom and Greta--I'm pretty sure Suzy looked weird in comparison because she was not Mocapped like the main ones
>entire episode of making fun of Hitler and killing him
Totally not propaganda
It is true. I'd put my loli agenda too in my media.
Watched a couple, will post the rest later.
Sonnie’s Edge: 6/10- Twist was good but it really is just edgy Pokemon.
Three Robots: 3/10- Was honestly pretty boring, the designs for the robots were wasted on them and it just came out as an unfunny Pixar short. I felt like them making fun of religion is ironic, but even if it wasn’t they were still making fun of all the other religions too. So the Jews and mudslimes would be pissed off at them too.
The Witness: 7/10- I liked it a lot. I feel like the creators were trying to say that the porn industry is a bad business to get into and that it’lol always come back to haunt you.
Suits: 6/10- Pretty comfy, I would like to see what the other colonies are like though. It’s also a very good take on immigration.
Sucker of Souls: 3/10- There are some pretty funny quips but everything is pretty dull.
Yogurt: 5/10- It’s short but really nails the point home on how we basically fuck ourselves over.
Aquila: 10/10- I’m going to rewatch it later so it’s probably not going to stay a 10/10 but I really liked it overall.
Good Hunting: 3/10- The animation is a little wonky and it can’t settle on what it wants to be. It starts out as a supernatural story that spreads the message of how you shouldn’t judge everyone based on what you hear or assume to be true, but the story did just that when it suddenly turned into a sci-fi story and started shilling the “WHITE MAN BAD” narrative.
Like I said, I’ll post the rest later.
The worst one was Good Hunting.
The diologue from the foxy chick at the end, before the chinamen makes her into the fox-cyborg, must have been taken directly from tweets.
>The evil colonizers will pay for their crimes against decency and goodness, and blah blah
Sounds like a bluecheckmark twitter post just translated into the scipt.
too bad they didn't use Ron perlman for the writing
>Hey colonizers! I just shit all over my dick betcha want to come and wanker me off because you're all dum dum wankers!
no one cares what your ratings are just say which ones you liked and leave it at that
it's from a short story
Ice Age I think was a nice change of pace from all the grimdark stuff.
devil's advocate here
anyone who's ever thought of travelling through time has thought of killing off hitler or some other dictator that caused millions of deaths, and even then that wouldn't work because then you'd destroy all the things that were inspired by hitler, nazis and other WW2 events and thus you'd create a MASSIVE time paradox.
that being said, that episode is easily the worst not because of an already played out idea but the art style was borderline tumblr/buzzfeed level. no wonder everyone fucking hated it.
>kill hitler in his youth and prevent the holocaust
>the world is taken over by rats
It was honestly pretty based and redpilled
Good Hunting right it is an allegory of China and other Asian nations being in pointless conflict with each other and then setting aside their differences in face of Western colonialism, plus fully embracing technological progress to enact revenge on humiliation and mutiliation of their countries caused by Westerners.
Boy-Korea/Japan
Fox girl-China
Boy learns western technology, girl has to sell herself(China during colonial period), girl is mutilated by westerners(China undergoing capitalist transformation), boy helps girl transcend(Asian technology and economy now is better than westerners and they embrace transhumanism). Girl protects another girl from rape(China protecting smaller Asian nations from Western neo-colonialism)
wouldn't want to be in Bong's shoes once China takes what its due for messing with her in the pass so awfully(as the foxgirl says "I can be terrible too")
t.triggered Johnny from a failed world empire
daily reminder that Anglo invasion and exploitation of China will be a smaller footnote in Chinese history books than Mongol invasion.
China
China has endured for 4,000 years years and will continue to endure long after London will be submerged under the sea, while Chinese cities will glimmer under the light of alien suns.
But even Thom was nowhere near as good as Greta. His teeth are weird (hers are as well but it's not as noticeable) and his eyes are too big, not sure if it's the whole eye is too big for the head or the eyeball is too big for the cavity.
Her in the other hand, you can take a still and not be able to tell if it's real life or 3D wizardry.
one must imagine zima blue happy
Yea, I don't disagree with it or anything. Maybe its because they only had 11 minutes or whatever, but the last few scenes of dialogue just seemed really bold and rushed.
Maybe Chinese people actually talk like that though.
Plus after seeing threads on the site for years about how Christopher Robin confused kids sexually I can only imagine what all the furry nudity in this episode will have wrought.
The Chinese only like colonialism when it makes them a ton of money lol
I did like the beginning, what with the mysticism falling away to modern practices and stuff.
all their heads were too big, user. pretty sure that's a side effect from mocapping is they add like 10% to the head to give them room to work with expressiveness on the face
I just watched the first episode, and am pretty fucking disappointed.
Please tell me that the others aren't so blatantly SJW-pandering.
the majority are not
see
>Please tell me that the others aren't so blatantly SJW-pandering.
Why is everyone so triggered about a story that edgy teen gives to cheating aristocrat that later turns out to be bullshit? You lot really that dumb?
only saw one episode, but it looks like a videogame.
Is that supposed to be a criticism?
Yes but we like it better when that agenda is “tell a story most people will like and want to buy”
Or do you think Ghostbusters was made to show the evil of government regulation?
That is legit the best one
yes, a bad videogame
jesus christ imagine caring about this
I only made that stupid list because so many people were making posts like this one
The true horror behind Beyond the Aquila Rift is not some person is trapped so far away he can never come back with eldritch horror spider. It is you cannot find someone on this planet Earth in year 2019 who will be as kind as the alien spider to a complete stranger.
i loved blindspot i hope that gets continuated, or suits
You have a weird definition of kindness. Me, I'd think kindness woulda been fixing his ship and sending him back 'round.
I hope theres a season 2. There's a lot of potential here, I really liked Beyond the Aquila rift so I hope they push for a more Science Fiction route than some of the lolsorandom Hitler stuff, but from what I'm reading on Twitter people seem to be really eating that shit up, so who knows.
As long as there isn't another fucking talking animals show again, I'm happy.
>edgy teen gives to cheating aristocrat that later turns out to be bullshit?
It’s not in the short. The rape being fake is in the book, but the mustache twirling evil rich guy isn’t. This is the only story you can legit call SJW pandering because it changed the original story specifically to add in these elements, even though they make the story more cliche and worse written. When you’re so deep in agenda you write in cartoon characters for your ~mature~ protagonist to beat, it’s objectively virtue signaling for the sake of self wank
it's not the rape story
>FUCKING MEN
>opponent is some ultra aggro male stereotype that only exists in feminist dreams
>the extremely blatant rape parallel during the arena fight
At best they're all red herrings, because as soon as you find out that the battered girlfriend is just being manipulative and still loyal to the evil white man, it becomes pretty decent. But the first fifteen minutes are just pure cringe, and not because of the gore.
Oh no a girl got raped and is mad about it. Will donald drumpf ever recover?
>>opponent is some ultra aggro male stereotype that only exists in feminist dreams
Seems like a typical black guy to me.
Does it bother you to know there have objectively existed individual niggers more inteligent than you will ever be? Averages are certainly on your side but outliers existed, outliers smarter abd more accomplished than the average white, why cant a story be about one of these outlier? Do you get mad when you see a white character rob a liqour store? Not sure where this bizzare rigid overlap in expectations between fiction and real life comes from
I know its an anthology but any point to watching in order or are there any to 100% avoid?
the only one I recommend avoiding is Alternate Histories
anthology
This could be the premise to a cape series in an instant.
It seemed to me that Ice Age was the only one in live action.
Just watch all of them, some are like 5-10 minutes and will be over before your fart escapes your asshole.
>The surgery scene really fucked me up.
I see it as a symbol of forced Westernization of China
Good Hunting > Three Robots >Beyond the Aquila Rift > Sonnie's Edge > Fish Night > The Witness> Helping Hand > Sucker of Souls >The Dump > Shape-Shifters > When the Yogurt Took Over > Suits
Probably overanalysing but I think that surgery scene and britbongs (westerners in general) transforming Yan into a sexbot could be interpreted as Westerners and the western media trying to destroy the traditionalism of other cultures in other countries like China, Japan, Korea, etc. and trying to reshape them in THEIR image (i.e. making them WOKE). We’ve already seen real life examples in South Korea and Britbongs are losing their traditionalism to other minorities and they’re allowing it to happen.
Good Hunting is surprisingly more deeper than just story and dialogue that sounds like blue checkmarked tweets.
what's to watch next? animatrix and Heavy Metal?
Dororo is anime of the season
its on amazon
dropped it after the first episode
i dont need another girlll power tv series where i can predict all the turns even if the animation is cool
This. I am also intimidated by women. No it has nothing to do with me being a virgin
She actually didn't seem to mind about it at all. I actually think she rather prefered to be the cool monster thing.
>Good Hunting is surprisingly more deeper
>more deeper
Yes, take an old folk tale and turn it into a superhero origin story. "More deeper", indeed.
more spider alien vagoo for me
ONLY watch from episode 2 onwards.
First episode is a red herring at best, shouldn’t have even used it as opener.
instagram.com/p/BvFfXzlg0-u/
this series is so fucking preachy
i droped it thinking the same too but its 18 different unrelated stories making that trash the first one was netflix mistake
anyone know where i can pick up wallpapers from this show?
literally aall it is good for.
like i guess if i had a freaky gf this could turn her on but im just a dumb incel
By doing screenshots dumbass
they always come out shitty
What a waste of quads
For shame
It's a weird combo of Twilight Zone and Heavy Metal vignettes.
Also note the use of opium by the English governor(Opium Wars).
An her saying "I can be terrrible too".
The whole episode for me was the best one in the series, as it was very deep in symbolism and merges Chinese nationalism with transhumanism and futuristic manifesto.
absolute retard take
i hope you're black and just obsessed with race, bc if a white person came up with this you should chop your dick off
there was nothing remotely master-slave about the creator's relationship with her robot
Good Hunting >Zima Blue > Three Robots >Beyond the Aquila Rift > Sonnie's Edge > Fish Night > The Witness> Lucky 13 > Helping Hand > Sucker of Souls >The Dump > Shape-Shifters > When the Yogurt Took Over > Suits
this was FUCKING stupid
>not liking MEW
shut up fag
simpsons did it. like 20 years ago
I'm not really white and even I distrust Netflix and their leftie corrupt Democrat power base.
Fuck off with your white pride bullshit. The anti-left doesn't need your racist bullshit.
I'd bang her, but that episode was fucking stupid.
>netflix
netflix did not create it you retard. all they did was pay different studios to make something you faggot
This was pretty cool, most of them had something I enjoyed about them
The only thing missing for me is maybe having some asian studios contribute too
Tim Miller confirmed that he asked the Sucker of Souls writer to do another one with the same characters in case there was a 2nd season, so it's possible other sequels will happen too
A family sitcom about not Greta, Thom and children
Why would Miller ask for a sequel of one of the WORST episodes? It had no real story and an SJW character, fuck that shit.
Ugly hag
Want one with no preaching? Watch Suits. Want one with no preaching but farmers aren't your thing? Watch Fish Night. Want to watch one with a good female character? Watch Lucky 13. Want to watch one with a good female character, and a more simple story? Watch Helping Hand. Want to watch a horror short? Sucker of Souls.
There's a decent half hour without preaching, but yeah putting Sonnie at the front was a mistake, it turned a lot of people off with either it's hamhanded shoving of it's message, its really badly done story, it's paper thin characters and needing to sit through a stock character monologuing evilly just to get to the decent twist. Aquila Rift would have been a much, MUCH better choice.
This show is not that good. The animations is nothing special, the stories are cliche and predictable, and the themes / characters / dialogue are very "safe" and seemed like they were designed in a corporate board room that wanted to ape Adult Swim.
It's also the epitome of reddit-tier "humor".
She and the nigger are dead (because they modified their pods with drawings and it clogged something)
The alien just makes the guy wake her up and try to explain to her the situation so he’s busy and has something to do and cope better with the situation
Alternate histories was clearly Twitter / reddit tier humor, it never should’ve been made
I just finished the 4th episode, so when the fuck does it get good?
To expand on what said, Thom at this point in the novel is aware he's in a simulation, she explained that part to him before this, in fact immediately after they made love because in the book the lovemaking is a test to see if he would be able to get over his wife after learning she was dead for over 100 years The Spider also is not alone on her ship, she's helped a bunch of others and some of them are still alive. She found the best way to help other acclimate to this world is give them someone to help along with their own journey. She turns rather cold when he deduces on his own that's not Suzy because she knows he's only "Halfway there", and when he snaps to reality she knows the only way to keep him from going mad is reset and give him a "Happy ending" he won't wake up from, one where he's back home with his wife.
The biggest changes seems to be wanting to instill a sense of isolation for the Spider and Thom, both are portrayed as very lonely since he's not married this go round and missing something, which makes her resetting back to the start make more sense.
So have I.
If you replace "seen" with "fapped to."
Just finished Suits. It felt cringey as fuck and for the Fortnite crowd. The world doesn't make any sense. How do they produce ammunition and oil if they're just a bunch of farmers?
They built their own mechs, so I guess they’re engineers and they have materials to forge their ammo and lasers.
Good Hunting >Zima Blue >Beyond the Aquila Rift> The Secret War > Three Robots> Sonnie's Edge>Fish Night> Lucky 13 > Helping Hand> ice age > Alternate Histories > The Witness > Blindspot > Sucker of Souls >The Dump > Shape-Shifters > When the Yogurt Took Over > Suit
Your rating is still shit
pass your ranking
you've already seen the best it has to offer.
some of these are so cringy jesus christ
so what the fuck was going on with the repair station? the story made no since greentext that shit for me
First off, Alternate Histories, WTYTO, and Three Robots are easily the worst episodes in the season. Sonnie’s Edge is barely above the worst episodes, Beyond the Aquila Rift, The Secret War, Lucky 13, Zima’s Edge, and Good Hunting are the best episodes.
Now fix your ranking.
>three robots
>good
WHAT THE FUCK SORT OF CAT JERK OFF SHIT IS THIS? they LITERALLY ended the episode with the robot jacking off a robot
jacking off a cat*
>so what the fuck was going on with the repair station?
I'm sorry, clarify this for me, are you asking what was going on with the station they landed in? Because in that case you missed the ending and need to go watch it.
i saw the ending dick they're in an alien. but where the fuck did the repair station go?
There is no station. She literally says it's just a simulation she's playing in her head. There's no Greta, it's a Spider. There's no Suzy, Suzy is dead. There's no anything besides that red hellscape and the spider(In the short, in the book there's a bunch of other creatures on the ship)
I mean she said it. With words.
>Alternate Histories
Meme Chapter, i laugh but just that
>When the Yogurt Took Over
Is shit
>Three Robots
You have shit taste as fuck
>Sonnie’s Edge
Is enterteining fun edge
>all the best episodes have blacks in it
...
pretentious as fuck
That one guy in Aquila Rift literally was useless after his first scene. The Secret War had no blacks in it. I think there was some background characters who were black in Shapeshifters?
Zima Blue ironically didn't have any blacks in the original book. Well, maybe the creator was black, we don't know but he was a guy.
