Honest opinions on this movie?

Was genuinely surprised and entertained. I wouldn't mind if all Spider-Man movies was animated from now on. They're clearly able to do a lot of fun stuff if they are given a decent budget and a staff willing to take risks. Nic Cage as Noir was also a fantastic surprise.

I loved it, reinforced by watching bts stuff about the animation techniques.

Better than anything live action could do in relation to spiderman. You can’t do most of the more out-there spiderman stuff with actual actors, and this movie did most of it perfectly, especially making all the swinging look fantastic.
It sort of makes the Raimi movies look like the Nolan trilogy in comparison. Way more grounded and simple than actual spiderman was. Not that I’m complaining, those movies are great, but spiderverse definitely gave something that I loved about spiderman as a kid that the raimi trilogy or the Amazing Spiderman movies didn’t.

It literally doesn’t. The slowest it gets is 12 frames per second for key positions, which doesn’t include the simulated stuff like hair and clothes. Did you get a bad copy or something? I don’t see how someone could feel so strongly about something like this.
It’s essentially the same framerate as most anime. It’s not like it’s SO DIFFERENT FROM EVERYTHING ELSE THAT IT LOOKS DISGUSTING. It’s perfectly fine. And you would have to be an actual retard to look at it and call it low-effort.

Once again, lower framerate does not make something bad. Each frame is clearly different, and every scene has a huge amount of motion in it. The animation isn’t bad at all.

Your opinion is literally “I didn’t like it, therefore it’s bad”, though. I don’t even know what your argument is. It’s like you think that Minions or something more like that takes more effort than this did. There was obviously a huge amount of effort and work put into making spiderverse look how it does, and it comes out looking really great. It having a higher framerate wouldn’t make it any harder to produce, it would just make it look more generic.

He was introduced in 2011.

He’s been around for quite a few years now, and was brought in as a diversity thing. Was written in his own universe by a shit-tier writer but managed to get some popularity. Then Marvel killed his universe and put him into the main one, where he struggled a bit and got some more attention. Now his original writer has left, he’s being written a million times better, though.
So basically, yes, he was added for diversity, but he was one of the earlier ones, and against all odds he’s managed to stick around and remain canon, which is more than can be said for the majority of characters like that.
