I never digged deeper into the story, but people have instincts and my instinct says to me already from the very first time i heard of the case when the girl "dissapeared" that something was totally wrong with the story and that her parents pobably killed her. I get the impression that most of you tards haven't actually watched the documentary and are repeating opinions you've heard from some nut conspiracy theorists. There is no evidence of the parents being involved, the Portuguese police seemed to base their allegation on:
1) The parents changing an aspect of their story. The room was found with the exterior shutter opened, the suggestion is that the parents opened this to make it appear the abductor gained entry to the apartment this way. Initially the parents said the door to the apartment was locked but then appear to change their story - once it's determined that the shutter cannot be opened from the outside - that the door was unlocked. There's no way to tell whether they changed their story as the audio from their interviews was not recorded, instead an interpreter was used and the answers typed by a police officer. The interpreter or typist could have made an error.
2) DNA evidence found in the apartment and the car. There was no blood found in the apartment. There was DNA found in the car which 80% matched the girl, it wasn't blood and they couldn't determine if it was a single person's DNA or multiple people. Given that the car was used by multiple people who share the same DNA this proves nothing.

There were people who say they saw a child being carried away from the resort that night but it seems the police didn't follow up on it. There were also multiple incidents, in the years prior to the kidnapping, of a man breaking into holiday villas in that area and sexually assaulting young children, again it seems the police didn't investigate this lead. According to the doc the Portuguese bungled the case and these leads were only considered years later.
The forensics actually clear the parents, there was literally nothing to suggest they killed her and transported the body at a later stage in their car. It seems that this lie (that the parents did it) was welcomed by the Portuguese as they had literally no other leads
