It really is subjective and based on your own personal taste of what looks nice but most importantly it's analizing how much information that single frame is giving the viewer, or even better, choosing to frame something to give the viewer only partial information and let your imagination fill in the rest, I personally enjoy shots that look nice, pic related is a perfect example of a shot with all style and no substance, I really love this shot and it's transition, while it dissolve to a close up it becomes "kino" and can only be that way because the word kino implies movement, so a single frame or shot can't be kino and most anons on Yea Forums use words without knowing the actual implied meaning.

This instead is an example of a very nice shot with the intent to give the viewer necessary information on the story (St. Peter being crucified) it last 2 seconds and has a basic centered framing with nice use of colors and shadows making it look more like a painting than a photograph, it's not as pretentious as beautiful but useless shots that give the viewer nothing to work with.
