but she's a woman so.... she doesn't need to be a character.. just a symbol.

don't think about it too much, i say it's a 8/10 easily. Yea Forums again is over reacting like the bitches they always are.

Fpbp

>just turn your brain over to disney bro

I can't wait for the total collapse of the MCU thanks to Brie. Who would have thought a wamen actor would be so based.

How many times had she has abortions?

>basic writing
>"thinking about it too much"

>you have to learn to control it
>appears to be in perfect control the whole time

Real question is why did they turn the Skrulls into a race of intergalactic dindus?

>Jude Law kicks her ass on the firsr 10 minutes.
>OMG she is an unbeatable mary sue!

i just got out of the showing and i would say it's on par with each good marvel movie (thor 1 and rag,cap 1 and 2, gotg 1, black panther, iron man 1, dr strange and IW). I loved everything, wish there was more and hate that this got squashed into one movie. I'm unbiased and look at it from the person who just likes marvel movies. it's a 8/10 and i would to see it again if the gf wants.

Honestly it was OK. Black Panther tier. What else do you expect from Capeshit?

>kicks her ass
>gets comi blasted across the room
?

>her weakness is the neck thing that she will never wear anymore

Because Guardians established the Kree as a bunch of assholes. Can't have two alien races having a war if one of the sides isn't sympathetic to the audience.

>Unbiased
>Person who just likes Marvel movies

Oh, honey, no.

I bet she can go doo doo real good like a big boy.

>her weakness was that she was too strong so she's not a mary sue
>they weren't just buying tickets but paying shills too
I was wondering why Captain Marvel need 800 million just to break even when the visuals only cost Yea Forums tier

Kree have always been Space Right Wing Extremists
Skrulls have always been Space Left Wing Extremists
The Avengers were the moderates in the middle
In today's cultural climate, weird-looking infiltrators to your society that are vilified by right-wing people are too obvious a metaphor for refugees or whatever for them to pass up.

I don't like it, I prefer the Skrulls being bad guys. A Secret Invasion style film would probably have been a bit shit in execution despite a neat premise so it's not really any great loss. And Talos has the most entertaining scenes in the movie.

I took my semi-retarded sister to see this, and she actually really liked it. So, Disney knows what they're doing, because this is America after all.

her weakness is having no weaknesses, check mate incels

This is actually the essence of 5th wave feminism. That women are in fact weaker then men, but that men (the audience) must accept and accommodate that. We call it "cucking" but communist theory calls it "equity".
The whole point of the feminist Mary Sue narrative in Star Wars and Capt Marvel is that the audience is the villain for expecting or demanding a reason for why the "HER"o has powers. She just does. Accept it.
Again, at the heart of this is the admission that women are naturally and congenitally weaker and disadvantaged. That equality is oppression, because in fact the more capable males are exploiting natural female weakness unfairly. Demanding that women be more rational (Jude Law) is an example of this "unfairness". So, audience of males, fucking accept that women should get their fair share of cash money too, even if they aren't contributing as much to it. Stop fucking telling them that reasons or facts matter. That's fucking patriarchy. REEEEEEE

>hurr this character doesn't have a shitty kyrptonite plot device so it's bad

None of the MCU characters have specific weaknesses beyond normal human things.

Like putting peanut butter on your balls and letting the dog lick it during those lonely friday nights?

The entirety of Iron Man 3 is him struggling with PTSD

>I shot an engine, and then rejected a man holding me back by telling me to use rational thought instead of my emotions. Now, I have almost unlimited powers and can singlehandedly take out numerous nukes and a Kree battle fleet. It's because of.... blah blah blah blah blah blah... muh feelz... fight the patriarchy... girl power!!!
Great story marvel

>i would say it's on par with each good marvel movie
>thor 1

Answer the questions

Thor 1 was not excellent, but was novel and entertaining (CMarvel not so). Thor 2 was bad but tried to go new places and had wacky cool shit and momentum (CMarvel not so). Iron Man 2 as well. Iron Man 3 was good. Capt America movies are all very good to excellent. Avengers Ultron was flawed by epic and good. Ant Man was unnecessary and not comparable, but entertaining and good.
Captain Marvel was just meh. It compares to the Incredible Hulk, which I forgot was even a Marvel movie. Back when actors were still getting replaced. Sad.

>None of the MCU characters have specific weaknesses beyond normal human things.
Then OP's questions should be easily answered with normal human things.

YIKES

1:Diversity
2:Chocolate
3:She's a woman
4:Internet criticism, apparently

>Strengths: Pilot, knowledgeable about space things, can shoot lasers out of hands and fly
>Weaknesses: Apart from space knowledge, a dumb blunt instrument, would rather shoot her way out of a situation than think it through
>Faults: Seeks approval from parental figures, and doesn't truly come into her own until she decides she has nothing to prove
>Vulnerable to: Physically - nothing we've seen yet. Emotionally - anything that makes her doubt herself or her resolve and goals. She flipped pretty hard on the Skrulls at the first sign that the Kree were lying.

I guess I should add to weaknesses that she's susceptible to mind manipulation as she is incapacitated for a while twice in the movie by devices that do that.

You are Yea Forums too.

Bitch.

The movie was a suitable introduction. She's been introduced to her full power and she used it accordingly. The smart move would be to have her struggle with being overpowered in subsequent movies. She's the handiest person to have around when the nukes are flying and a fleet of aliens are attacking. But when she needs to deal with lower threat stuff on earth she's the equivalent of bringing a grenade to a spork fight. That coupled with having to reassimilate to an unfamiliar earth would at least give her enough 'struggle' to make the character a bit more interesting at least.

>It's disney, just be a viral marketer like me and #listenandbelieve
Fuck off and fuck you

>>Faults: Seeks approval from parental figures, and doesn't truly come into her own until she decides she has nothing to prove
My good god, kill me now

I mean, it's the entire arc of the movie. She's seeking approval from her dad, Jude Law, Annette Benning, the Supreme Intelligence. It isn't until she decides to take control of her own life and forge her own path that she becomes a hero. That's literally the premise

white men who dont have sex

Weakness: can't smile

Cucks don't have sex and tend to be white.

Which question?

but that is so, so, so weak

>struggle with being overpowered
>But when she needs to deal with lower threat stuff on earth she's the equivalent of bringing a grenade to a spork fight.
"Her flaw is that she's TOO strong!"
