Yeah so uh, talk about the film Next starring Nicolas Cage
Yeah so uh, talk about the film Next starring Nicolas Cage
Entertaining. Prime Beil
The textbook definition of a dumb fun movie. Easy to follow, never boring and has some hot tail to look at.
Yup. How good action movie should he before capeshit took over
Kino ending
Ah man that scene where a thousand Cages roam around the complex hitting all the traps. KINO.
Only watched it cause of Jessica Biel’s cleavage in the poster. Don’t remember a single thing about it
I left the movie wanting more. That's the sign of a good movie.
Also, for years I thought this and knowing were the same movie.
I've seen this, and remember very little about it. Is there a plane crash, or was that in Knowing?
Yeah a Next film series would have been cool.
Knowing was eerie as fuck to be desu
It really was. I went in expecting typical Cage schlock, but that atmosphere was creepy as fuck.
Gay ending though.
>blue and orange
let me help you remember Biel
2002-2009 was Cage at his peak
Really liked the music, anyone else? They use that tune in different ways and it's so catchy sometimes I hum it without even remembering where it's from.
Plane crash is in Knowing. Next is the one where he is Knowing the future for 2 minutes ahead of him at all times.
Lots of fun. I liked the whole "plot twist" where Nic Cage realized he could use a loophole in his whole "seeing two minutes into the future" powers, to see the outcomes of multiple choices all at once.
I thought it was 7 minutes?
It's 2 minutes but the twist is when he's with Biel he can see way further
ah
>when he's with Biel he can see way further
I could too, if I had Biel by my side
Am I the only one who exclusively watches Nic Cage movies on an airplane because they always knock me right out?
it happened
So what does he know in Knowing?
Extra question: What was the Cage film with Amber Heard?
His autistic son can predict disasters, also it was called Drive Angry
It was good, best exploration of functional pre-cog and the problems of living with it ever made. The ending is an amazing spoiler, and you won't see it coming until the very end.
Great overall structure, strong acting and tiddies
It was a different time
What are some other good movies about people with powers that don't go the way of capes?
Limitless was decent, first one that comes to mind. Not as good as Next though.
My personal opinion? Jump was semi ok, you just have to drop suspension of disbeleif that the normies could actually do jack and shit, but hey, so long as a verse is internally consistent, and it is, I never have a problem doing that
The other one, Push. Excellent.
Both have a hero esque feel and vibe, but it isn't full cape. Not even tights. They both have the Supers in Normal clothes feel of the 00s that culminated in the Will Smith inter-racial propoganda film that snuck by as drunk Superman who gave no fucks, Hancock
Which ended in tights and costumes returning
Too bad about Push never getting any sequels, was a great intro to the world.
What I like about Jumper is that a lot of the power use isn't to fight or accomplish a central goal, but just having some fun. I think more movies that have people with powers should show more of those powers creatively adding to their lives, or just them messing around with the powers. Apart from being fun to watch, it also adds depth to the character and the power itself.
There should be a Wolverine movie where he becomes a broadway singer with one of the most powerful voices in the business thanks to his ability to tear his throat up without issue. Or maybe that's more of a Deadpool thing.
In any case, I want more fun in these flicks, not just punching bad guys or dodging gunfire like in every single one ever.
On an unrelated note, Lucy was pretty amusing.
The Craft
you better watch Lost Boys and forget this thing exist
I honestly would have liked Jumper more had it focused A LOT more on the younger version with Max Theriot, after he jacks the bank and just lives up his life. I don't hate Hayden like some morons did and do, but I think they could have filmed up two movies for the time of one, ala LOTR.
>Jumper was filmed in 20 cities and 14 countries from 2006 to 2007.
>85 million dollars
>88 minutes
Yeah yeah, inflation, but its only the most recent 10 years of inflation, so thats only maybe 100 million of todays money. That ain't shit compared to the nonsense of today, especially for stars in the prime of their drawing power
Damn, thats a short movie by modern standards, two movies split into 100 minutes each would have been better
Oh fuck yes
SoftCore Gay Porn that baits you in with fliritng with chicks? No. And the powers were fucking stupid, the fuck is even the point of them if you cant' use them?!
This, less gay porn, more subtext
Hey come on it was trashy fun. Anyway I own The Lost Boys and have seen it numerous times, even bought the soundtrack
It was super gay
Super Duper Gay
It was The Lost Boys made by a man who gets arrested five feet from a Little League game for public masturbation
How did it end? Worth seeing despite the ending?
literally the same fucking movie.
aspect raito
Aside from how they're different in every way, yeah.
Well worth it despite the ending. It's literally only the last 30 seconds that was 'meh'.
Chronicle.
>raito
raito mate
