This show is the 2nd best Star Wars kino after the original trilogy, there is no disputing this.
This show is the 2nd best Star Wars kino after the original trilogy, there is no disputing this
Honestly? I would say it’s better.
asucka is a shitty character though
I didnt like it desu, so I dont agree. Too cartoony.
orange buttcheeks
This
I have this thought sometimes but am too embarrassed to admit it, maybe I should be more honest with myself
Shes a great character
That means it's the second best pile of shit in the whole faggot franchise? Wow.
>the virgin star wars: the clone wars
>the chad star wars: clone wars
based orange buttcheeks poster
Cartoon or not, this is awesome: youtube.com
Reminder that KOTOR 2 is the only reasonably well-written piece of Star Wars media that has ever been produced.
The animation and amount of seasons it got really gave the creators a chance to make some kino
Agreed. We need to petition Disney to add an Ahsoka force ghost in the end of the special special edition of ROTJ
But she wasn't dead.
Fucking faggot manchild.
I fucking hate Ahsoka. I don't get why people rag on Rey for being a Mary Sue, but Ahsoka constantly gets a free pass.
ahsoka literally doesnt do anything right, tho
Are you sure about that?
Ahsoka is a much more likable character than Rey, and an actual skilled Jedi. I give her a pass.
Positive.
Ahsoka is probably the best major female character the series ever had barring maybe OG Leia
Funny that a cartoon that most people barely paid attention to had a better MC and writing than a whole film trilogy made by the biggest entertainment company on the planet
because Rey is a textbook Sue by definition.
Regardless of what problems Ahsoka may have, being a Mary Sue objectively isn't one of them.
Based show, ik a lot of star wars don’t like it though.
Big Orange Dick.
Also how can ST, Resistance, & Rebels compete?
A. Ahsoka is actually likable, in part due to her having an actual personality, and
B. She fucks up all the time, hell she never even becomes an actual Knight
Man, I thought the new season had started already after seeing this. I am dissapoint
wow spoilers
the entire Umbara/Pong Krell arc was really goddamn great.
TCW slowly gets better with every season, but Clone Wars is great from the start. Wasn't a fan of the Anakin subplot in volume 2, though.
It's good but you ignore the fact the first two seasons are pretty bland. Prequels you could never say were bland, and were better in terms of characterization too, but the later seasons of Clone Wars were also quite strong.
This. It literally wouldn't have worked without the PT. OP is a faggot.
FACT
Ahsoka is NOWHERE NEAR as great a character as Ventress
fact: ventress kicked the bucket
It's good but it takes way too long to get to that point.
It's like saying the PT is better than the OT because episode 3 is so good.
You’re a shitty character
I quite liked it, but I could never get over how overstylized every star wars animation is
no dispute here, friend.
Ahsoka is not a Mary Sue, she makes plenty of mistakes throughout the series, gets nearly killed by Trandoshans and even gets out casted at the finale. Every character just loves Rey and she never makes mistakes.
Also Anakin hates Ahsoka when she's first introduced (like the viewers) compare that to Rey where every character immediately becomes her friend.
I was thinking earlier how a kid would react if you showed them Star Wars in chronological order:
I -> II -> TCW -> III -> IV -> V -> VI
instead of release order. How would it affect their perception of everything?
Learn what words mean before using them
They will not have the best twist of the saga.
I AM YOUR FATHER!
they would be bored
Episode III works way better as the grand series finale to The Clone Wars than it does as a sequel to Episode II.
I think it a kid watching it for the first time after the series would have their fucking mind blown if they went in blind
Is it really that good? I loved the Cartoon Network one but I watched a few episodes of this one and didn't think much.
Seasons 3-6 are top-tier television
>Ahsoka, Jedi do not wear panties.
Was giving Anakin a padawan a "good" decision?
why not?
It has its moments
>flight of the bumblebees starts playing
It progressively gets better over time. Season 1 is outright bad, season 2 is mediocre, 3 is solid, and 4 and beyond is kino. By the time you reach season 6 it's about as good as Star Wars gets
It really worth slogging through the first two seasons for the later ones then?
It's funny because you warm up to Ahsoka about as quick as Anakin does, and I think the creators kind of new it was a risk introducing her.
I didn't think they were that bad, but I'm sure you can find a guide on what episodes are essential from those seasons
Agreeing with People put the OT on such a huge pedestal but I honest to God think TCW is a better Star Wars experience.
And this shit is overrated as fuck also put on a pedestal and praised by nostalgiafags
Yep, the cowboy hat guy invented time travel in Rebels to save her from getting Vaderd
It is canon now that she was alive all throughout the OT and dresses like Gandalf the White, staff and all
I prefer the 2D one, from the russian guy
Ahsoka isn't a mary sue and you'd know that if you actually watched the show. She actually fucks up probably more than any protagonist in the entire series, and had to grow the most.
Here's a fun fact: She never, not once, wins a lightsaber fight against a force sensitive in the show. The only fight she actually wins is disarming a bounty hunter who stole a lightsaber. The first time she ever wins a fight against someone of equal or greater training was in Rebels season 2, which is 8 seasons worth of Star Wars tv.
She more than earned her place.
That's dumb as shit, nucanon was truly lost without George. Her dying against Vader was apex SW kino but they had to fuck it up.
the clone wars series in general, or any particular season?
I wish the Battle of Geneosis was 1 hour long in Episode 2 and had moments like THIS.
Seasons 3 and beyond.
>Yep, the cowboy hat guy invented time travel in Rebels to save her from getting Vaderd
This isn't strictly true, Ahsoka always survived the Vader fight. The """""time travel""""" is just force shenanigans causing shit to happen out of order.
I'll check it out then, I won't be skipping anything though that's autistic.
Is flamethrowering sentients the Jedi way?
She's also a padawan when introduced, which means she's already had YEARS of force training from people like fucking Yoda and Shaak Ti, and Aayla Secura. This means she didn't gain unearned powers out of nowhere.
I don’t know about that.
Reminder that this is one of the best scenes in all of star wars. I was very disappointed with prequel Grievous
Even seasons 1 and 2 have their moments desu, no worse than average Star Wars and still far more enjoyable than the ST.
But the later seasons have episodes that are held in such high regard that they make the earlier seasons (and arguably most of the movies) look like shit by comparison.
Do watch it, I can pretty much guarantee that it will have episodes in there eventually that will make any Star Wars fan giddy with excitement.
Those aren't jedi
Yeah, i really don't understand how Rebels turned out as bad as it did
Ahsoka especially was so mishandled. She looks nothing like the CW Ahsoka, in an effort to make her seem more mature and wise they stripped her of her personality and then, after giving her a good death, they make up convoluted bullshit like magic super powered wolves and time travel to undo all that and break all of canon by having her alive during the OT which Vader and Palpatine knew about
The 2D one is only slightly above average, you guys are blinded by nostalgia
I don't think so, season 2 has one of my favorite arcs of the whole series, the Geonosis one. Even TCW fans forget the kino moments in the earlier seasons.
this guy already posted the webm so I just pick something else
Sorry kid, but you have to get on the line
What is going through Vader's mind at this EXACT moment?
I liked it when I was 10 but ive long since come to accept that its honestly a pretty fucking shitty portrayal of Greivous. Having him be some unstoppable Terminator that can fight 5 Jedi Masters at once seriously undermines the Star Wars franchise, characters and storytelling as a whole.
George's vision of Greivous being a coughing cyborg general was honestly a really neat concept and turning him into this seriously spoiled the idea and peoples expectations.
I meant I think it's worth it to slog through, sry.
This
I honestly wish that AotC was Episode 1, Clone Wars was Episode 2 and RotS was Episode 3.
>"I miss those orange buttcheeks..."
Getting others to do the dirty work is the Jedi way.
Agreed, he actually seems mortal in TCW
I remember seeing it and thinking Grievous, and his attack on Coruscant were going to be serious threats, because he's intelligent, cunning, ruthless, and determined. Then we get RotS and mistakes were made.
Grievous only worked as a concept when fighting scrubs or ambushing anyone competent and running if it didn't work.
The idea that not one of them thought to take a step back and just bitch slap him with the force until Mace was just dumb.
Ah... Achuta
>army of droids: badwrong
>army of slaves bred from birth to die for you: perfectly OK
what did the Republic mean by this?
>I wonder what's for Dinner
>all those future Twi'lek sex workers dead
what a waste
>could have been railing orange buttcheeks all day
>got stuck with an aging jewess instead
>I have no limbs because of this
A children's show is as good as a children's movie? Have to take your word for it I'm not going to watch it to dispute you
I wonder what kind of droid personalities the vulture droids had. Was this ever clarified?
Clone Wars is kino. Also Ahsoka.
Which episode is this? As for Twi'leks, selling them off as sex slaves and breeding whores was the best fucking idea ever. Now they exist across the galaxy and everyone loves them, wants them, and protects them.
why did she suddenly start using 2 lightsabers? Did I just miss that part?
Anakin really did fuck up, he has delicious affectionate jailbait who was breaking the rules as he did, they both admitted they wanted to leave the order. If he left when she did, I guarantee they would have been fucking the force out of each other in a hotel that very night and not regret a single thing. The whole galaxy would have been better off.
But nope, Anakin stayed with Padmé and the order and let the council fuck him up the ass even more while Sheev took advantage.
I bet everyone in your life secretly hates you
Based
That's true but I was thinking that the end of RotS would hit them like a truck if they had just came off TCW and had no idea about what was about to happen, especially if they're a kid.
It's was so Lucas can get away with PG-13 mass carnage of two faceless armies, divoverced from humanity.
Think about. All that lightsaber dismemberment shit wouldn't fly if it was happening to actual people.
>If he left when she did, I guarantee they would have been fucking the force out of each other in a hotel that very night and not regret a single thing.
But Padme
There was a timeskip. Recent Forces of Destiny short explains it as Yoda encouraging her to train with two lightsabers because it suits her preferred defense style, or something like that.
IIRC it's a season 1 episode set during the battle of Ryloth.
And yeah. I'm surprised that its still canon tbqh, it seems like the kind of thing Disney wouldn't want to be in the series anymore, but one of the first Canon books they released talked about Imperials going to fuck Twi'lek prostitutes while occupying Ryloth.
This is what the cool Jedi call 'aggressive negotiations'
>All that lightsaber dismemberment shit wouldn't fly if it was happening to actual people.
Here is Ahsoka decapitating four Mandalorians

Something about the duality of man

pleb
know the difference, it may save your life.
Isn't there some Imperial admiral lesbian who keeps a twi'lek slave? I gotta read that book.
>Having him be some unstoppable Terminator that can fight 5 Jedi Masters at once seriously undermines the Star Wars franchise
He is unstoppable because he is trained to be so. Grievous being a ruthless monster who is intelligent enough to outskill most Jedi or to fuck up your shit like he did with that surprise attack to Coruscant doesn't ruin anything.
>George's vision of Greivous being a coughing cyborg general was honestly a really neat concept
George shits out breddy great ideas and really bad decisions and this was one of them. Even if you don't want him doing flips and grabbing faces with his feet you can still show him off a bit more than they did in EpIII.
>tfw Disney and Nu-Wars pretends Y-wings didn't exist
>Your Majesty, Vader and his minions have destroyed the planet of Alderaan
that would have ruined all the kino media we got from the clone wars. ep2 was perfectly placed at that exact moment in history to kickstart the golden age of star wars extended media
>mfw he accidentally kills his sister
>mfw he becomes a literal terrorist and starts bombing civilians to send a message to the Empire
>mfw in a Rogue One prequel book he knowingly plans for kids to be blown up to hit the Empire
>mfw Rogue One sequel book reveals Lux continued his work after his death and blew up Imperial schoolkids
This shit gets dark fast
There was that one scene in Rogue One where they had a bunch of Y-Wings do a big bombing run
MOMMY
Clone Wars Y-wings were kinda ugly tho. Maybe I have this bias of seeing V-Wings more as bombers blame Battlefront
they were like methed up jap pilots who pursued targets with a one track mind of KILL. if they found they were losing or ran out of fuel/ammo theyd kamikaze without a second thought as well so a swarm of vulture droids was like fighting a swarm of torpedoes on steroids
Looking back, wouldn't it be a better setup to show how poor the Resistance was if the opening scene to TLJ had everyone using a bunch of barely-functional shitboxes of 30yo Y-Wings and that's why their bombing fun was FUBAR as fuck, instead of just having a bunch of full retard bombers that didn't work because [reasons]?
Eh, you got me, you're right. But they still don't have Y-wings in the 'sequel trilogy'
Y-Wings exist just fine in "Nu-wars", they're just not in the ST because JJ is a retard who claimed they weren't nostalgic enough, so now X-Wings are good enough to do the main bombing runs. Until Rian decided that was retarded and came up with his even bigger bombers. Which was also retarded.
Yes, "Lords of the Sith", its pretty good.
This is some real Ender's Game shit. In fact I'm pretty sure there is a scene in Ender's Game where they literally do this exact thing.
Is this the most kino music from the PT?
youtube.com
>bro, what if we put the side of our ship without weapons and would probably be less heavily armored toward the enemy
first seeing that i thought they were trying to do a fucking sick drift into that massive blue laser lance from the beginning of rots
>tfw you fuck up your attack so bad you end up having to ram a cruiser into a battleship and then do some multispace drifting to defeat the blockade.
It's a ruse, they were trying to corneal the Y-wings as they left the launch bay
>KANSEI DORIFTO
>what if we exposed our completely open launching bay that we're going to deploy our fighters from to all the enemy guns in the world
Cooler than the cruiser ram in TLJ
Ship ramming is one of the most kino techniques ever designed in military history
or you could just launch them and turn the ship so your guns are facing the enemy and still keep them hidden behind your ship
But Venators have hangars on both sides and on the underbelly as well.
I really liked the 2nd half of Rogue One. It conveyed the feeling of the Empire as this unstoppable monolith that can only be slowed by throwing bodies into the meat grinder.
That half is the half worth watching, a shame about the slog of the first half. At least RO feels like a Star Wars movie more than the others, but still needed a crawl. Everything has a fucking crawl.
How is Aayla Secura supposed to feel knowing that all the soldiers in her command are statistically certain to have jerked off to her at least once?
youtube.com
BURN BUUUUUUUUUUURN INSECTS BUUUUUUUUUURN
How about all of the male padawans at the temple?
Certainly not Hayden Anakin. Chadikin is Republic Propaganda which the entire show is made to look like.
At least the fapping sessions kept the morale of her troopers on Felucia.
>Republic Propaganda
>In one episode you meat reasonable and pacifist seppies
What did he mean by this?
she uses that latent energy directed towards her to fuel her force powers even further. just like irl women
It was Yoda's plan to help Anakin get over his attachment issues. He never really had the opportunity to do so with his mother.
Arguably it was a good idea. For the first few seasons, Anakin's attachment issues seem blatant, but around Season 3, he loses control of her a few times and grows as a person. He even allowed her to leave the order when the time came.
Problem is, it happened too soon, far sooner than Yoda expected, and his distrust in the order turned into resentment and only proved to make his attachment issues worse.
>mfw Commando Droids are being added to BF2 this month
there's only one bf2 and it ain't EA's
What is this, 2016?
BF2005 is overrated as fuck, and thats coming from someone who autistically put thousands of hours into it when I was 12
He should have left with her and tell Padme to fuck off.
>NolstalgiaFagsTheShow.jpg
based
Is that really how the Force works?
Anakin was completely in the wrong for blaming the Order for what happened to Ahsoka. They had absolutely no way to protect her once the law was against them.
even if I concede that point, which I don't, it doesn't make anything EA makes a good game.
Okay. Agree to disagree, the new game is solid fun.
shoo shoo, EA shill
The Jedi were on the trial though werent they though? I mean its pretty shitty that they'll volenteer to fight on the frontlines as generals, but cant vouch for one of their own.
Literally only Plo Koon joined Anakin to go look for her when she was on the run.
>BF2005 is overrated as fuck
Call me back when you can drive an AT-TE with a couple of bros or when you can actually pilot a LAAT on NuFront Episode II
I'm with this user. To cartoony, childish plots (I'm aware it's a children franchise), and it added shit to the Universe that was even to outlandish for a show about space wizards.
Shouldn't that building be called the Chancellor Palpatine Surgical Reconstruction Center (or ChanPal SuRecon Center, for short)?
I can make a long list of shit that you can do in the new game that you cant in the old one, if you want to play that game.
She's cool. She actually has character growth and doesn't feel like a Rey or Rose.
I liked the spiritual stuff
Good try but this is the best Star Wars story ever for me
Not everyone is a total dick except Dooku. Why'd they make Dooku such a retard in the show?
God I love this. And I love how Star Wars fan may heal in spite of KK et al, for some love of orange buttcheeks and the Prequels that she and others hate so much.
warning, cursed footage, do NOT open
>They had absolutely no way to protect her once the law was against them.
The Jedi had a degree of judicial autonomy and the right to discipline their own members.
However, after a tiny bit of political pressure they threw Ahsoka under the bus even though she was obviously setup since she wouldn't kill the woman inside of a jail. (Bariss somehow getting close enough to kill her was a bit of a plothole though)
Once she is found innocent, after an afternoon of Anakin actually investigating, they sheepishly tell her that their abandonment of her was actually the will of the force.
>tfw I'm a highschool teacher and I imagine myself like this in my deathbed
Looks better than the original
>AAAAHHHHHHHHH, HELP ME, LUKE!!!
>MY SORESU IS NO MATCH FOR HIS DJEM SO
why are Star Wars """"fans"""" so obsessed with """"fixing""""" the OT with stupid bullshit like this?
I can make an equally long list of shit that you can do in the old game that you can in the new one and I am positivelly sure that most of that is shit that people actually want to do
It's a Yea Forums prefers gay Australian boy scout leaders instead of more Morrisonkino episode
Fun fact, Morrison loves TCW and has said numerous times that if Lucasfilm ever needs Rex in live action, he'll be there.
Morrisonkino is best when spiced up by other voices in spite of the biological impossibility of this
see, Republic Commando.
>the original trilogy was good
I hope we get a Republic Commando reboot or sequel first desu.
>Ben Solo is dead... He was weak, and foolish, just like his father, so I destroyed him.
>Anakin Skywalker was WEAK. I destroyed him!
Who said it better?
Wait until 2023
The James/Matt combined delivery was better than it had any right to be.
Vader, obviously. Had a much more powerful meaning behind it too, Kylos is a fucking whiny imposter like everything in the ST.
>it ain't me starts playing
That ship was a good friend.
>some folks were born, made to wave the flag
>ooh they're imperial gray!
Luke, did I ever tell you about the time when your father and I convinced his apprentice that there were no bras in space? Amazing times, Luke. Your father really was a good friend.
There are entire arcs literally made up of only Clones. The fact that it's just hours of Dee Bradley Baker talking to himself and yet he is still able to make the Clones distinct from each other makes him pretty good.
>the years creep slowly by lorena starts playing
>It's a Seven Samurai episode.
I would have preferred Morrison voice the clones in BFII. It would have been nice if they could do voice packs. He ultimately sounds better and more cool even if he hasn't done distinct voices yet with the clones.
Nah, DBB definitely has the more iconic voice of the clones now. Tem playing the older, grizzled Boba is perfect, but im glad DBB is playing the Clones. We essentially get best of both worlds.
That being said, obviously if they do Clones in live action again, it should and would be Tem.
Remember that one time when we were supposed to get a force ghost version of Anakin that flickered between himself and Vader? That would have been rad.
The only real kino parts are the story arcs, especially the Umbara arc that’s the real shit
It should be, but considering Sam Witwer voiced Maul in Solo instead of Peter Serafinowicz, I wouldn't be too hopeful
What the fuck even was the point of Maul's cameo in Solo?
Well in the case of Maul, Witwer is the defining voice for Maul period. Maul in TPM was dubbed over (as you know) and had literally two lines of dialogue.
If you're gonna have a character who's actors voice is dubbed over anyways, then yeah still go with the voice people are going to want and expect.
Tem on the other hand isn't going to be dubbed over lol. Maybe for some easter egg-tier fanservice during some fight scenes they may sneak some DBB lines in somewhere as some younger Clones, but I wouldn't expect anything beyond that.
This is all under the assumption we ever get another live action clone wars battle scene of course.
Bridging the continuities together, and hyping whatever story with Qi'ra they have (or had) planned next.
Cassian is getting his tv show, so I am expecting Qi'ra to get hers announced next, and Maul will likely be the "Jabba" crime boss figure of that story.
Please just let Maul go. He had a kino death scene (for real this time). Please dont ruin it like they ruined Ahsoka's death.
Only if you add back in the shit they left out due to the rushed release.
Why is the prequel trilogy era so massive and endlessly exploitable while the sequel trilogy era is bare bones as fuck and highly claustrophobic?
They're not going to.
Maul in Solo is before Rebels happened, and is intentionally supposed to be a transitional look. Hence why he is dressed much like he looked in TCW, but has the Inquisitors lightsaber he has in Rebels.
Implication is that he is in hiding from the Empire, and has already killed an Inquisitor sent after him (hence why he is on his hiding spot on Dathomir, rather than Mandalore) - He is running crime syndicates from the shadows like he did back in TCW.
Like I said, most that will come from it is that he'll be a bad guy for a future Qi'ra story, but it's ultimately going to end with him travelling to Malachor and ending with his death on Tatooine.
A lack of Mr. Lucas
Still sad we didn't get that Captain Rex/R2 D2 episode arc inspired by Top Gun, Terminator 2 and Invasion of the Body Snatchers. It sounded like kino.
I do not understand how you could plagiarize all 3 of those stories at the same time and have it still make sense
The way Grevious runs and pushes aside the droids, kek.
It starts out as a flying contest between rival clone/droid squads, Rex and R2 end up crashing their starfighter in the middle of the race on some weird moon. They would've been forced to survive and work together to find a way back to the Republic, they would've hacked a B2 battle droid to help them too.
Apparently it would have been a mind-blowing adventure according to the writer, and it would've started funny but also went to darker places too. It was going to be the last major Rex/Clone focused arc of the show since it was planned for Season 8, and I loved the Umbara episodes so it's a shame this one didn't make it out.
May have even explained how his chip was removed, but we'll never know unless they turn the scripts into a comic/novel, because it isn't one of the episodes they're making for the Disney streaming service revival.
Star Wars does it all the time, taking iconic stuff in cinema history and re-imagining it in the context of Star Wars. All of Lucas's movies and TCW was filled with homages and re-tellings of famous stories and wars of the past.
Then we went full circle with TFA and TLJ where they started just remaking Star Wars itself
Something that Filoni and George both said which really stuck with me is that the key to telling a good star wars story is to not make a Star Wars story, Clone Wars is the perfect example of this but even the Star Wars films are mashups of George's favorite cinema.
And yeah part of why the sequels suck is they're not following that rule and are going the lazy nostalgia route. Even Rogue One and Solo feel more inspired by comparison because the stories aren't completely ripping of a pre-existing Star Wars film, even if they're reusing elements like the Death Star or Kessel Run.
