I enjoyed the first Amazing Spider-Man. Sure the villain is complete shit but I loved Emma Stone's Gwen and Garfield himself ain't too bad. The sequel however, that's a dumpster fire

considering how garbage all the other spider men we have gotten is it would of been better for sure. I mean the ones with the lizard and electrodindo are extra hot garbage. The ACU one is ok but its filled with sjw bullshit making it unwatchable. That scene at the opening im still mad. "Wow after that invasion kids wont be drawing about cowboys and indians anymore" DONT YOU MEAN COWBOYS AND NATIVE AMERICANS HERRRRRRRRP.

What would have been truly kino is if they had made their "Spider-Man vs the Amazing Spider-Man" movie

Just have Winter Soldier take place in an out of the way town in the North East, only for their dumbass fight to hit a main street, then for an older, but still buff Toby Maguire to be a dentist or something, only for for his bitch, his assistant co practitioner or whatever, to walk in and show him the nonsense going on, and he begins evacuating people to a shelter.

Next scene, Spiderman shows up and tells Cap, Bucky to both fuck off, absuing his spidey sense to be untouchable, to both of them. Then when they dont listen, we get to watch Spidermna curbstomp the shit out of both of them, culminating in him forcibly stealing Caps shield, throwing it away, tying Cap up with webbing long enough to go after Bucky with a vicious beating so bad you watch Spidey go from punching a solid rib cage to punching a meaty cushion and Buchy coughing up blood, then duck out of the way as Cap tries to tackle him, then Spiderman grabs the shield and Captain, and pulls off a haymaker knockout. And leavs with the shield with a quip.

And have the news cover it in shock as the first appearance of Spiderman for years and black spymaster to guy to quip "So thats where hes been".

They shot tons of stuff anc characters that aren't in the movie. The budget was way higher than they admitted. Also, they went full retard with the marketing and spent more than anyone usually does on a blockbuster.

I'm actually surprised they made money. Pretty sure, they included BD, DVD and whatever they sold. That movie was never profitable in theatres.

No, it was bad. Even if Raimi hadn't been forced to include Venom, the Sandman stuff was weak as hell. He has that one cool scene where he's created, and then after that he's just a thug with a retconned backstory.

I loved Sandman in SM3, hell I even like the Venom stuff. Topher's Brock was like a mirror universe version of Peter where he didn't have Uncle Ben to help him down the right path.

Drop Sandman, have somebody with some beefiness play Venom

I think so. The general idea of the blacksuit story culminating in Peter facing his dark opposite with Eddie/Venom is fine. You could even still keep Harry Goblin in there too. But adding Sandman in there just overcomplicated the fuck out of everything, leading to the dumb shit amnesia story.

Also, you'd have to also re-think the black suit scenes were Toby goes full cringe.

ASM1 has the awful origin story that we've already seen. Awful high school setting that we've already seen. Awful villain. The only good part is Emma Stone & Garfield. Homecoming has the deceny to skip origin but ramps up the politically correct awful high school story. Far From Home looks like the worst Spider-Man film ever made.

You can make the argument that Sandman would have had more development had they not needed to shoehorn Venom in the movie. Especially since Raimi really liked Sandman and didn’t like Venom

Sandman was actually added first, Sam Raimi didn't want Venom in the movie at all but the studio pressured him into it.

I will still never be not mad about the loss of that original goblin costume it looked so fucking good and would've been terrifying.

I dunno how I would've felt about spider-man 4 Felicia coming in to disrupt the marriage could've been cool but unless Raimi was going to nut up and kill MJ ala Gwen Stacy there isn't much you can do with someone like Black Cat
