>Sasha Baron Cohen wanted to show the edgier bits of Freddy's life
>this movie shows it
So why did Brian May refuse Cohen's vision for the movie?
>Sasha Baron Cohen wanted to show the edgier bits of Freddy's life
>this movie shows it
So why did Brian May refuse Cohen's vision for the movie?
because
This movie doesnt show shit. It just hints he fucked some dudes. I think cohen wanted to show full frontal cock shots
Btw, this guy is such unbelievably godtier casting, you might actually believe is Brian May.
>So why did Brian May refuse Cohen's vision for the movie?
Because Cohen wanted the film to focus on Freddy, May wanted it to focus on Queen (and Freddy)
which is dumb because they were pretty much background extras in the film anyway
Cohen would have made it a Bruno funny gay man has sex movie.
And yet the movie actually focuses ONLY on Freddy! No sidestories about any of the other band members! May more likely realized that Queen always was Freddy Mercury.
Based
Cohen wanted to show Mercury heading AIDS head on. When May was unsure about Freddie singing The Show Must Go On, Mercury retorted "I'll fucking do it darling", necking a shot and singing it in one take.
He didn’t. According to Sasha May thought the movie should be about how the band members persevered after Freddie’s death and looking at the successes they then had.
>>Sasha Baron Cohen wanted to show the edgier bits of Freddy's life
>>this movie shows it
???
you must be joking, movie is tame as fuck compared to the reality. it's a fisher price version of what his life was
it showed him partying it up, doing drugs, him getting AIDS, and tons of implied gay sex. What more do you want? Him throwing people out of his trailer after prolapsing them?
clearly we didnt saw the same movie. apparently you saw a documentary, while me i saw a glorified MTV video. To each his own.
Brian May has a doctorate. He's smart enough to know not to get involved with (((them)))
Literally the movie Cruising but with some scenes where a guy sings.
i haven't seen the movie because it looks like shit, but i heard that all band members were given equal screentime, as it was in the contract.
Anyone suprised theres still no cure for aids?
Cohen wanted a Freddie centric movie that was true to real life
the rest of Queen wanted a Queen movie where everyone looked good (except Freddie)
all the band members in Queen did drugs and cheated on their wives, but the bandmembers didn't want a movie that made them look bad or hurt their image
>May more likely realized that Queen always was Freddy Mercury
Based Freddy
Not that guy, but for real, what would need to be included for you to consider it showing everything? On-screen gay penetration?
>how the band members persevered after Freddie’s death and looking at the successes they then had.
>Anyone suprised theres still no cure for aids?
No, because it is clearly a lab-made bug and obviusly they designed it to be really tough.
There aren't cures for any diseases. Just vaccinations and treatments.
Wait, so May actually does believe people give a fuck about anything related to Queen that isn't Freedy?
>all the band members in Queen did drugs and cheated on their wives, but the bandmembers didn't want a movie that made them look bad or hurt their image
I liked that scene with that wild party where Freddie was drunk/drugged and the other band members where there sitting sober with their wives and were like "Yeah, we need to head home, it's time for sleep".
I think he likes to pretend...
faggots are jutht wonderful people, that's why! It's not like 99.9% of them are insufferably disgusting, annoying, emotional, pathetic whimpering pieces of worthless pop-culture-obsessed shit. haha I don't want to kill every faggot on Earth at all!
Colossal egos are extremely common in rock'n roll bands of Queen's magnitude.
also this is Cohen's talking about the project:

There has to at least be a scene where Freddie spits on his cock and rams into some tight asshole. It's 2019.
Cohen wanted to play a degenerate faggot. The band wanted the movie to be abou the band, not Freddie’s sex life
Seemingly. He might know deep down everyone cares only for Freddie and just be in denial but check out this from an interview with Sasha:
>The comedian and actor said: “A member of the band – I won’t say who – said: ‘You know, this is such a great movie because it’s got such an amazing thing that happens in the middle.’”
>“And I go: ‘What happens in the middle of the movie?’ He goes: ‘You know, Freddie dies.’ ... I go: ‘What happens in the second half of the movie?’ He goes: ‘We see how the band carries on from strength to strength.’
>“I said: ‘Listen, not one person is going to see a movie where the lead character dies from Aids and then you see how the band carries on.’

How many faggots do you actually know in real life?
Queen doesn't even make a new album after Freddie.
They released one 4 years after Freddie died comprised of vocals Freddie recorded before death.
They also had a tribute concert and went on a tour and other shit no one gives a fuck about.
May somehow thought people would find that interesting.
Because they realized they couldn't. Which is why it doesn't make sense that suddenly they think they have a legacy to preserve after his death. No one faulted them for not going on without him. I think the same thing is going to happen with Linkin Park. They can't go on without Chester nor should they.
He couldn't countenance the 30 minute scene Cohen had planned where Freddie goes to town on May's butthole with a rubber fist
Honestly all of them resemble the real ones much more than that goblin playing Freddie.
They just cured the second man with HIV a few days ago. They developed it from some gene that some AIDS resistent gays have. The procedure is extremely expensive right now.
>The wonderous story of how my friend was a degenerate who got AIDS and died
Yes, this is definitely a film that Brian May would have wanted to make.
>what would need to be included for you to consider it showing everything?
That's not the problem I have with the movie. You misunderstand. I don't want a documentary, I don't need over the top graphics for authenticity's sake. It's not about that, it's not about the visuals. Its more that to me the darker themes felt completely flat and plastic, an untasteful glamorization of rock n roll clichés. There was no nuance nor finesse in the fall of Mercury per say, and despite the extraordinary larger than life character he was in real life, the movie was incredibly politically correct.
