How long until Hollywood stops making capeshit and moves onto Manga once they realise they have source material until the heat death of the universe to milk
How long until Hollywood stops making capeshit and moves onto Manga once they realise they have source material until...
of fucking course the femoid cannot help but fill the screen up with her face at the end HAHAHA LOOK AT THIS STUFF BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY LOOK AT ME!!!
I don't like Araki using his new art style for the rerelease of the first 2 parts. I've been baited so many times thinking SBR was available for purchase.
They'll just cycle back and do something else if not capeshit.
Never because SJWs would REEEEEEE it into the ground for not casting exclusively Asians.
have sex
GitS and Alita flopped, so I doubt we're going to see big budget manga adaptations any time soon (unless it's from China/Japan), but they will definitely come back to it, since anime is getting more and more profitable every year.
seriously...
fuck women
>almost $200m profit
>a flop
you mean GitS right?
because Alita barely broke even
Dark Matter was the last thing she'll be in
ha
Manga is too good for Hollywood
>how a woman takes a picture of an object.jpg
It really tickles me that DiU is being printed outside of the Jojonium books.
>what is advertising, movie theater cut, taxes
Even if Alita made some money, it's not much.
They've been trying to get that ball rolling for some time with no success, but they'll try again.
She'll be in a new film called Office Games
Wonder how much her pussy goes for
>if I keep adding things, it'll only get funnier!
Don't post that again, nigger retard
Shit, a Devilman collection is out?
It will be when the remnants of the devout capeshit fandoms wane and the weebs grow a little older and become movie critics.
kek
god I wanna squeeze that big honker
Why wont people see Alita but shill for Marvel and DC?
How did this bitch get access to my private library? Brb, calling the cops.
>the 22nd one
Gantz sucks
oof, cant do it now since you have to cast asians or twitter will cancel you.

N-no way, a fucking BOOKSTORE has a MANGA section??? Thank god this roastie pointed it out to me because I haven't been to Waldenbooks since 1997 and wouldn't have known!
Have sex.
>tfw the only waldenbooks around closed
>now all we have is that one with the coffee shop and music
Manga has to get as popular as comics in USA and then stay that way for 80 years and then maybe
>once they realise they have source material until the heat death of the universe to milk
you are naive and young and ill informed.
every major has people in the marketing dept on the payroll who just read every new comic and manga published, and european comics even. You think they don't know your precious IPs? you are wrong. They know them all and probably better than you in some cases.
However mangas are a very singular japanese product that are very hard to adapt to western audiences. Who gives a shit about an infinite well of source material that wont sell in the west unless you invest a shit ton of time and money in rewrites?
Based user pointing out the truth
ur the reason golden compass didnt get finished despite being an international success, fuck that garbage ass reasoning
>rewrites
see that's why things do terrible. all adaptations are bad, regardless if it's east or west, from book or movie or game to book or whatever. don't "adapt it for _______", just put the fucking _______ on the new format.
Waldenbooks was Borders for the last half of its life, so yeah they are all dead.
>one with the coffee shop and music
So... Borders?
you're*
this isn't 2001, quit typing like you're in a chat room.
They already tried. Tokyo Ghoul, Terraformars, Death Note, Avatar etc are all already live action films the issue is none of them are any good.
You seriously have to die
>let me run something into the ground! it's called making memes!
kill yourself
Tits or gtfo
No. But you will soon enough.
>mangas
Get out of Yea Forums.
kys nigger retard
>meme is so succinct in how it mocks the target that it gets copied and made unfunny as a harsh cope because the target is so buttblasted and uncreative
Just like NPC meme. The left/women truly cannot into originality.
Oh dear, you called me a nigger retard. That sounds Problematicâ„¢. I'm afraid I'm going to have to let Hiro know about this incident. The advertisers are not going to be pleased, no not at all.
>ur the reason golden compass didnt get finished
truly a movie crime if i ever saw one
you should remove the object from the baneposters slot and replace it with "Object?"
It's probably not that far off.
Manga is actually outpacing and outselling both Marvel & DC combined right now. (American comics are actually in a semi death spiral right now)
>typing all that crap
kys nigger retard
Whom are you quoting?
After endgame capeshit will slow down so they will go full weaboo
Would be better without that bitch showing her butterface on camera
Based and thispilled
It's most likely the marketing, the press and no unique selling point (at least for the general audiences). The trailer wasn't that exciting, the posters aren't great and the media was to busy riding the mouse cock, to talk about the movie, other than the fact that it's "not feminist enough".
I don't know enough about manga or anime to be sure about this but I doubt this would work. The one manga I've read and the few anime I've watched are almost 60-70% internal monologuing and frames/imagery with motion that's either impossible to stage or outright frozen in time. Lots of impossible lighting and framing as well. You'd have to make a fully CGI, highly stylized aesthetic for each film the way they did when they adapted Sin City, and seeing human faces, props, etc. clash with a CGI aesthetic that fails to come together for whatever reason is a huge risk. This makes it impossible to create a steady pipeline or workflow to make films on a reliable assembly line the way Marvel does.
Also, in terms of the writing, I've noticed that there's so much focus on laying out what a character is thinking and how they're deciding what to do that it's a recipe for disaster if it were ever adapted by Hollywood types. It's not that it's lesser than the show-don't-tell ideal that good films ought to follow, not at all. Hell, the stuff that I've read/watched has been extremely good and compelling. I'd even say it's better and more creative than most films I've watched in the past several years. But the problem is that combining that amount of expository dialogue with the shit-tier creatives in Hollywood will very likely output the absolute worst kind of film you could ever imagine. Hollywood adaptations rarely incorporate the best parts of things while avoiding the terrible, risky, and volatile parts. The reverse is what usually ends up being the case.
Give sex.
She became ugly
won't happen
adults don't care for cartoons
As soon as someone makes a successful one. So, you know, never.
What anime/manga is big enough to have a sizeable enough audience/fanbase that could propel a movie adaptation to capeshit levels of money-making?
DBZ? Unfilmable.
Gundam? Sci-fi space-shit that isn't Star Wars/Trek doesn't work with Burgers.
Naruto? One Piece? Are there really enough $oifaces out there to sustain a cinematic universe for these?
Ever heard of Tom Cruise's movie EDGE OF TOMORROW? Yeah.
The problem is that most manga/anime is completely unsuitable for a single 1½-2 hour movie.
Television/online series are a more sensible choice, but at that point why not just stick to leaving it as an anime?
Anyone can make a quality/semi-successful adaptation of a one shot manga if the story is good, like Edge of Tomorrow. But we're talking capeshit here where it's not uncommon for a movie to make 1billion+
Is there an anime/manga franchise that can pull that if Hollywood adapts it?
Retard
capeshit, "manga"....same difference. it enables manchildren and denegrates society
>Is there an anime/manga franchise that can pull that if Hollywood adapts it?
>a challenger appears
Lmao
Could you be more of an incel?
A lot.
You can easily make a movies with a lot of material. Jojo, Gundam, Death Note, Macross...
List could go on forever.
I don't get how JoJo has been around for 30 years, but only parts 1-3 can be legally purchased in the west
And part 3 ended in fucking 1991.
How fucking dumb and judgmental do you have to be to discount an entire medium? Sure certain mediums have a higher percentage of trash, but there is still merit.
Imagine if someone did the same thing with music or books.
you need to have sex
>only parts 1-3 can be legally purchased in the west
The fuck are you talking about? I could enter any comic book shop and buy the whole series.
Oh, you must be a burger.
dilate
Shhh, monkeys can't compute manga is a medium, don't make their heads explode.
based
Well to sell the later parts publishers would either have to spend infinite money to record companies to use the music and fashion references, or rewrite all the names and piss off the purists.
What country do you live in
Then have sex with him. You're not some kind of anti-sex incel, are you?
>He doesn't know
>Akira
>Attack on Titan
>My Hero Academia
>Cowboy Bebop
>Sword Art Online
These all have western live action adaptions currently planned/ in the works
The only reason why its all manga is because half of it is probably porn, and the other half is drawn out with melodrama and minutely detailed action
This medium is filled to the brim with awful tropes. Very rarely have I found animes that aren't affiliated with awful tropes in every department. From certain character structures, plot structures, animation techniques and so on. They're just too japanese
I read manga at barnes and noble. Do people judge me? Cause it feels like they do
What country is the airing anime set in?
If anything, most anime are too American. You've probably watched casual shit.
Yes I do, because your choice in manga makes me sick.
Add Mobile Suit Gundam
Rec me some non-casual shit then. I'd like this shit to click for me.
Superhero comic books have been around since the 1930's, but capeshit movies didn't become the profitable cultural phenomenon they are today until the late 2000's.
It might take some time for Hollywood to get live action anime/manga adaptations right.
And pay royalties to the Japanese? No way.
Hollywood will go on with sequels, prequels, reboots and adaptations of shit books until there is nothing left.
I saw the same shit here. And if Hollywood is as close as the MSM in my country (and I believe it is after Spielberg vs Netflix thing), you can be sure they'll sink with their pride while filming the scripts of their friends.
Too much stuff. What do you enjoy?
Watamote and Serial Experiment Lane were somewhat good. Those two weren't offensively bad but I'm not that interested in watching them again.
I thought Elfen Lied, NGE and Death Note were trash. Feel like I've watched a few more but forgot about them.
Fist of the North Star seems interesting but after watching NGE, I don't have much confidence a critically acclaimed anime is any more likely to not be just more anime shit
10/10 bait
Like when I was baited into wasting my time watching all of those.
>Yea Forums

I mean what genre or element do you enjoy in fiction.
Try stuff like Patlabor, Twelve Kingdom, all the 80's/90's Madhouse ova, Satoshi Kon, Ashita no Joe.
>I mean what genre or element do you enjoy in fiction
Oh, right. I like visuals with a nice texture and style to them. Atmosphere and things that kind of paint a picture of how the fictional world is like. Plot can be pretty convoluted as long as it feels like somethings going on. Characters with actual character. Not some anime trope. Surrealist type stuff.
Okay then check out those pluse these.
