Adventure movie just like Van Helsing or Underworld series. There's obviously a bit of horror because we have stuff related to demons or supernatural evil, which is by-definition horror. It also falls under gothic romance and a bit of romantic comedy called "screwball". They were quite popular in 30s or 40s, The Mummy seems to lean towards it.
