Here's a fact you may not know. 30% of "Maddys fund", the charity set up to fund a poorly defined private investigation, has been used in defamation lawsuits.
One such libel case was against a Portuguese detective who worked on the case, released a book, and strictly just gave the facts his department came to. The "libel" aspect? He briefly had been working under the belief that the McCanns may know more than they are letting on. That's it. They've also sued journalists.
