for crashing both normie sci-fi and the shittiest EU in existence. Star Wars dying as a brand is a net gain for both fiction and society, especially when the spergs who worship patchwork fiction made by hundreds of z-tier genre writers off themselves once they lose the only meaning in their life.
B-but the prequels were good
punchable
This. Love seeing Yea Forums incels crying about muh Star Wurs
autistic
Hero.
The one we deserve but don't need right now.
The only prequel that can be called good is episode III
if anyone calls all the prequels masterpieces you can pretty much dismiss their entire opinions
Tragic.
>okay if somewhat dorky debut (Brick)
>very good science fiction/action film that occasionally misses the mark, but most often hits (Looper)
>with some guidance from the right producer and crew, could have excelled in making more films like that, for intelligent audiences
>but suddenly
>green milk
>twitter arguments
Tragic.

Creative. Brick (2005) and Looper (2012) are really good. He wrote and directed both.

Au contraire, mon ami !
Let me play devils advocate here...
Either he spearheaded the demise of the Skywalker Saga by being a totally subversive mastermind independent from Kathleen Kennedy and J.J
OR
He was a a barely competent director in the hollywood system that was chosen as a scapegoat who would do what he was told while a higher power orchestrated the destruction of the most cherished white male cultural archetypes in modern history...
Yeah my gut tells me its the later CUNT
Eat my ass!!!
HACK
Pathetic
Fixed:
>Utterly mediocre, film nerd bait debut (Brick)
>Near-terrible sci-fi action flick which assisted in bringing down the genre from intelligent thought experiments to nonsense logic and mindless action (Looper)
It should be no surpise to anyone who's seen his movies that he made The Last Jedi. It wasn't the studio's fault, it wasn't his producers, it wasn't his crew.
The man is a hack.
He's a fucking great filmmmaker and your headcanon is plebshit flick tier
Im glad he ruined it for you, pleb
You have horrible movie taste, I bet you watch trash B tier movies from the 80s and 90s and call them kino.
Rian Johnson is one of the maybe dozen or so directors alive right now that is actually good.
>I bet you hurr Durr
I don't, but that's besides the point.
Rain is a hack. If he's one of the best, it only goes to show how far quality has fallen.
Seriously. Brick is a completely mediocre film. It has some nice elements, but it's just another in an endless line of silly indie genre benders that are a little too comedic to be dramas and a little too unfunny to be comedies. I'm not saying it's bad. I think it's okay. It's just not great.
Loopers, however, is a terrible movie. It takes time travel, a trope that's in desperate need of some scienctific logic, and says "lol who gives a fuck it just a movie XD"
The result too long and too dumb to ever be taken seriously as a sci-fi film, or even as a good film.
And finally there's the last Jedi. Which is the movie he wanted to make, by the way.
In the end Rain is just another rich kid who couldn't hack it on his own in the industry so had to run to mom and dad to fund his first feature. He's a hack.
Brick and the last jedi are kinography
I find it disgusting that I have to share this board with people like you
I wish you were dead.
Kinomaker
I'm usually not here because of the capeshit epidemic.
If you killed yourself I wouldn't be where you go
Star Wars is just capeshit with lasers and lightsabers instead of capes. You're part of the problem.
>If you killed yourself I wouldn't be where you go
Probably sounded good in your head.
That's correct and why do you think Rian Johnson pissed off all those fans.
He "destroyed" it
Which means he made a cinematic mockery (ie self aware kino) that completely didn't only dissect Star Wars in terms of the movies past lore but actually break the fourth dimension with it's dissection of the Star Wars fanbase and culture who wants the same shitty flick with a death star for it to be epic.
Rian didn't appease any of those fucksticks which is why they are still fucking mad at him. Take the redpill
>He "destroyed" it
He didn't destroy shit. Star Wars fanboys will eat up whatever slop is put in front of them. All he did was make another bad movie in a line of bad movies.
He's just a bad filmmaker. You're projecting.
>Star Wars fanboys will eat up whatever slop is put in front of them.
They will eat up JJ Abrams shit just like The Force Awakens
But most that liked the force awakens normie wise hated the last kino
I'm willing to bet money the fanboys hating on The Last Jedi are the same fanboys who complained TFA was a carbon copy of A New Hope
On this website yes. But most of the complete non chan posting retards who liked the force awakens and rogue one were the ones who disliked tlj
Still, on purpose or no, Rian made a bad movie. If he had any integrity he would've never accepted the project in the first place.
This is beyond parody
Why did you think it was bad? The good directing and framing? The good soundtrack compared to the dogshit tfa? The good acting?
Yeah i fucking hated that it was so much better than most star wars movies have ever been.
>The good directing
The direction was garbled and all over the place, especially in the fight scenes. absolutely terrible
>Framing
What the fuck? Do you mean the cinematography? If so, then it was terrible, too.
>Good soundtrack
Can be credited to John Williams, who also did the soundtrack to TFA.
It was awful. All of the Star Wars movies since 1983 have been irredeemably bad. Star Wars has been a walking corpse from then on.
Retard.
Looper is really more of a film noir than a sci-fi movie.
Based
>Framing
>What the fuck?
Damn you're a fucking baby
>If so, then it was terrible, too
Cringe and plebpilled
The Last Jedi is really more of a film noir than a star wars flick
Praising the "framing" of an entire movie as a whole is such a vuage non-criticism I didn't even know where do begin with addressing it
You come off as a brainlet
Rian has god tier framing and editing and directing skills for a blockbuster director, aka he's good and actually knows what he's doing
