The Crank films come to mind¨youtu.be
That new Polar film on netflix is very OTT. Its not that great though.
The Raid
Bill Kill
Dredd.
Should have gotten a sequel.
>get always told "real life isnt like the videogames"
>this shit looks like ripped off the no russians level
Hardcore Henry is so good
John Woo's Hong Kong films. Most importantly The Killer, A Better Tomorrow 2 and Hard Boiled.
Van Damme's Hard Target is pretty good ultra-violent Woo flick too.
I feel like a pleb but I've never actually seen John Woo's HK stuff in full.
I really need to get around to that.
Im the same. Ive heard good things.
They're good. As for the action, here's the awesome one-take three minute shootout scene from Hard Boiled:
Thank you
combat isn't like in video games.
this is just shooting unarmed civilians sitting ducks
The first Expendables maybe? Too bad the blood is shit cgi, but it's quite violent and is indeed kino. Fuck the sequels and fuck anyone who doesn't agree that the first one is kino
For films with such stellar casts that were written and directed by Sly, who definitely knows his shit, the Expendables movies were really disappointing.
The sequels for sure, I genuinely stand by the first as being a very solid action flick.
bit violent desu
Each to their own I guess. I thought it was patently mediocre.
I watched youtu.be
Robocop, Starship Troopers, basically anything from the late 80s-early 90s by Paul Vehoeven.
Total Recall (1990)
Hot Fuzz, though it skew more towards comedy.
The fuckin Wild Bunch. Very violent and action packed.
Hot Shots is a fucking treasure
QFT
So many kino shots in that film.
John woos bullet in the head (ignore the chop socky 1st half hour). Hong kong kino
Robocop
Predator
The Raid
Dredd
Brawl in Cell Block 99
Battle Royale
Green Room
Kill Bill
Heat
Blue Ruin
Face/Off
Total Recall
Starship Troopers
Mad Max
Black Death
Lone Survivor
Taxi Driver
Ichi the Killer
Special Mention: Banshee. It's a TV series but the action is so fucking good. It's incredibly underrated, blood bath pulp.
Could be wrong as I can't find the source but I remember reading a veterans take on this scene being not as far fetched as it looks, what with peoples limbs being shoot of
Any anons have experience with 50.cal?
Isn't it ".50 cal"?
Also, there's a similar scene in Saving Private Ryan when they're standing on the tank and the machine gun rolls up and pops them.
Any /k/boys know what that gun was?
Hacksaw Ridge
The border scene in Sicario was pretty cool IIRC. Didn't watch the movie, but saw bits of it from the dining room (someone had it on while I was working).
John Wick
The Equalizer
Watch Commando!
>Also, there's a similar scene in Saving Private Ryan when they're standing on the tank and the machine gun rolls up and pops them.
Not from /k/ but

Gave that film 20 mins and nothing happened so i gave up
I won't call it ultraviolent but 13 hours has some nice moments of what happens when someone gets mulched by a DsHK and 240B.
Dang, they were using AA there?
Hardcore.
I remember that scene really taking me by surprise when I first saw it (16 at the time I think). For some reason it stuck with me more than the other scenes.
Go watch it TODAY user, pls
Also: what do u do for work?
oh yeah, if we're talking warkino, then pic related also
This
Second one was literally better and more violent. Also it had JCVD
Riki-OH: Story of Ricky
youtu.be
it could probably happen occasionally, but .50 BMG has a overblown fuddlore reputation ("a near miss is enough to blow your arm clean off!")
A .50 bmg would basically turn a big chunk of the area near where the bullet hit into pure liquid blood though. A good chunk would just explode
I fought many wars and took part in many special infiltration missions so I used everything from wooden boards to still classified experimental weapons of mass destruction and I can confirm the scene was true to reality and to my own personal battle experiences ( been in hundred of them)
Anybody know this one?
I saw the hilarious reenactment yesterday, but the actual movie would be nice to know.
the unnecessary slow mo is what puts me off watching Woo movies. It just completely ruins the flow and enjoyment of the movie for me
"Savior"
Fuck the optics
The Crank Movies
The Wild Bunch
Running Scared
invasion USA
universal soldier: day of reckoning
death wish 3
eastern condors
apocalypto
>Blue Ruin

BAD BLACK WHEN?
Hobo with a Shotgun
it's got the kid from Toy Soldiers in it
2 was great, but gaddamit, 3 was so fucking dissapointing. Only good point was Mel as the baddie.
