Why was it so trash?
Are you even anticipating Season 3?
Westworld Season 2
bump
really boring following the bar girl and fishburne around. I almost didn't finish it. and almost every show now does the cinema-lite bullshit and I am completely bored of it.
Yeah disappointing, has it been renewed for a third season?
because in season 2 they went for the "nothing happens all season then le tweest ending" format, which is always a mistake.
I liked the first season so much. I couldn't even get to episode four of season 2. I don't know what changed or why, but wow. So fucking boring.
I didn't finish S2. They fucked it up.
Im at a loss to try and explain the popular acclaim this series gets.
I wonder if it was a case of the writers running out of ideas, it's was needlessly convoluted, and the finale could of been achieved in two episode's, so when we did get the pay off it was just meh, I'm not even interested in seeing a third season desu.
There was no mystery or tension in anything that happened.
There are very few characters in the show who are interesting. You watched season 1 because it kept hinting at secrets and such. You watched it for the plot, not the characters.
In season 2 we're left with the characters. They aren't interesting and we don't care about what they're doing. In S1 they were how we explored the world, seeing it from various points of view, and that was the drawn - to explore the world and mystery of the world. In S2 the characters have become the focus and they can't carry that weight. There's nothing at stake, there's nothing interesting going on in the world anymore, and we don't care enough about the characters.
It was a one-trick pony. We were introduced to this "new" world and new ideas and it was all very interesting. Each episode told us something new. Now they've stopped telling us interesting things about the world and we have to listen to boring characters.
LOST could have gone the same way, only they kept adding to the world, making new mysteries, making the characters confront new puzzles and questions... of course, that didn't end well, but it was much more interesting than watching character drama with dull characters.
So it's basically JJ Abrams mystery box story telling, that never ends well.
The whole second season was retarded. No one wants to watch a shows that says "Human beings and simple and animalistic, they have no real depth" and then goes on to wank off about how their cool immortal robot characters kick everyone's ass and win and wow so cool am I right?
No one wants to see that shit. Immortal, flawless characters are dogshit boring.
There was a season 2?
This pretty much, transhumanism propaganda.
it's really dumb and derivitive but makes you feel smart watching it. the definition of pretentious
>I wonder if it was a case of the writers running out of ideas
I think that's exactly what happened. Structuring a show like this is usually the sign of the writers not having enough material to pace the show evenly, so they save what little they have for the season finale.
>not having enough material
I sure hope not since they casually admitted to having a 5 season plan.
>that never ends well
of course it doesn't. it violates one of the basic rules of good writing, which is show, don't tell.
Also the characters were realy good
that just means they have the main plot points of the overarching story planned out. doesn't mean they have the material to fill out each individual season.
Has there ever been a TV show with a drop in quality this massive?
Such a strong, independent woman, an inspiration to us all.
True detective season two was pretty bad, probably not as bad as this though.
because they did away with the most interesting shit about the show and it turned into boring people vs. robots philosophical bullshit. shouldn't have had the park break down until season 3 because a functioning park was more entertaining
me too. i think i stopped watching in the middle of episode 4 actually. i figured this show isn't holding my interest at all (i literally fell asleep during that episode) so i'll just marathon it when it's finished airing but i still have yet to go back to it.
Checked, I'm sure that added to it alright, is there anything in Hollywood that's immune to being pozzed, by sjw bullshit.
I didn't even finish it.
twin peaks after laura's killer is caught
Terraformed Mars was beautiful.
Enjoyed season one, haven't watched the second. Give me a quick run down so I can decide if I'll bother?
Humans bad, robots good, escape from the park..... profit
Heroes. The first season was really good and the second season stunk.
True Blood got worse and worse. But the first season was fun.
The Walking Dead also got worse and worse.
Just because you don’t understand it doesn’t mean it’s not profound.
It ran into the GoT problem of brainling writers trying to write dialogue for highly intelligent characters and instead writing long monologues of what a stupid person would consider intelligent. Also the plot turned into generic uninteresting action after shtf instead of intriguing park exploration, and pig-face, black whore woman and dolores are horrible actors with nonsensical motivations whereas season 1 had Sir Anthony Hopkins who is a great actor and a decently written character.
There was a single good episode in S2, and that was the indian episode which was kino.
>profound
brainlet detected
Because West world was only good when it was guests going into comfy Park and the mysteries.
AI vs Human was boring
Yeah that was a good episode.
Anyone else think it gets shitcanned after season 3? The ratings are going to be disastrous. I just don’t care anymore which sucks because season 1 was 8/10.
Yeah probably, at least for me, I really enjoyed season 1, I watched season 2 thought it was shit and never thought again until this thread, season two was totally forgettable, and I've no interest in seeing another series, Red dead redemption 2 mod would be cool though.
No Anthony Hopkins.
The 2nd season lost the little appeal it ahd to me when they announced it like in the time ep 3-5 was airing that a S3 had been approved.
Maeve was such a fucking drag.
>No one wants to see that shit. Immortal, flawless characters are dogshit boring.
Immortal falwless robots?
What the fuck are you talking about, they have flaws, Doritos rampage is sadistic and she makes many errors along the way, fucking foes and allies in her search of revenge.
>I wonder if it was a case of the writers running out of ideas,
I think its the case of the writers in need to create something to fill some episodes because S3 had been approved, so S2 serves only as a bridge between S1 and S3. At least 1/3rd to half of S2 was filler.
season 1 was already shit, never bothered with 2 familia
I finished 1 because my family was watching it and it looked good, but it was the most overrated thing on tv ever
>I think its the case of the writers in need to create something to fill some episodes because S3 had been approved, so S2 serves only as a bridge between S1 and S3. At least 1/3rd to half of S2 was filler.
So did they intended to wrap the story up in season 2? And then were asked to do another season, it seems fucked up to damage a good show enough, on the hopes of getting another series or 5, as is rumoured, I think maybe the producers fucked up trying to leverage the popularity of the first series, ruined the second, and destroyed any interest in the third, shame.
Didn't even finish this garbage season lol. Last thing I saw was some lady running away from a tiger. Shit was so retarded
I weep for the retards that didn't see the patter from very start of first season that it's going to get exponentionally worse. I was already pissed and rolling my eyes at the last eps of s1. What a load of shit.
> Why was it so trash?
Bad (rushed?) writing.
The show’s tended to get lost in its meandering philosophical ideas without giving its characters anything to do. It kept throwing new plot developments at the audience without properly dealing with the old ones, having plot twists become cheap substitutes for actual plot progression.
> Are you even anticipating Season 3
Nope. Heck, I wish I could erase Season 2 from my mind, and let Season 1 stand as my only westworld head cannon.
Are there any delicious Thandie newton big puffy brown nips in season 2?
I liked the beginning when it focused on the weirdness of a theme park with lifelike robots, then it turned into this stupid “epic” LOST type narrative
Because it retread everything bad s1 did but worse
Worst seasonal rot I've ever seen
Twd
Leftovers s3
Wire
Got
I saw the first 2 episodes of season 2 and lost intrest. I guess this was the "twist" I heard about and the pay off for people who stuck around for the whole season? What was the point of sticking the park on mars?
story went wrong
girls winning everywhere
the main actress is awful
i dropped at episode 7, didn't even bother finishing the episode itself
I liked the Indian's story best, and any scene with james delos. All the other storylines became less and less complicated to appeal to the masses more I guess
>Leftovers S3
explain
Both seasons are trash. S1 might hook you, but after watching S2 and going back, you realize just how bad all of it was. The problem with the show is that they purposely leave the audience in the dark about everything, just so they can reveal some ebin twist, or even worse, drag out the show for another season with the mystery carrot. Show could have been so much better if they grounded it in the reality of the shows universe, that is, actually show the world and how the people working at Westworld interact with it. But instead all you get is this very sterile theme park setting, that only gets more empty and derivative after the first season. Ya, you get a bit of the real world in S2, but it's all just bullshit used to fuel the fembots awakening (show a couple parties and a city skyline...). Just more of the mystery nonsense modern writers seem to think is more important than actually creating a universe the audience wants to lose themselves within.
the way se2 ended i think se03 will be even bigger dissapoitment.
the western cowboy setting is probably over for ever so this pretty much kills the series for me. I also cant stand that black bitch who got to be delores.
>storm troopers security
>too many people die with no emotional impact on anybody, makes death seem like an inconvenience rather than a tragedy
>no coherency in the way the robots act, and their complete lack of realization their life is fake
>every plot thread has a "girl power!" woman leading stupid men around
>every man is retarded, only women can fix things
>pointless out of order editing
>final twists cant be predicted as they have no impact and arent foreshadowed, not a bad thing if you dont treat them as twist and as standard story development, but the editing, cliffhangers and pauses make it seem like they revealed something big that should blow your mind
>what about the other parks?
>what the fuck is the layout of this place
>too much action
>still didnt show how the shrink ray works and when its used
I fucking hated it to be honest, wont be watching the third one,
s2 wasnt needed also s2 was badly written especially badly written about humans, how retarded humans acts and how smart hosts are...
Heroes S2 was hit pretty hard by the writers strike, I think it was only seven episodes and they were pretty trash.
