did you ever wonder why Bart never says "Dad", always "Homer"?
Did you ever consider its because the left wants to destroy the family hierarchy and family values... literally destroy families?
Really makes you think about those old Simpsons episodes that you cherish, and how they've been subsconsciously poisoning your mind all along, don't it?
Bart referring to him as “Homer” instead of “Dad” isn’t portrayed as a positive thing though
Oliver Cruz
Bart referring to him as “Sneed” instead of “Chuck” isn’t portrayed as a positive thing though
Liam Smith
go to bed Jordan. Its late and you have an appearance tomorrow.
Blake Martin
i knew a kid who called his parents by their names, it was looked down upon by literally everyone else around them and we all called him adopted constantly even though he wasn't, apparently.
Jack Ramirez
I knew people were being poisoned back when Archie Bunker was always portrayed as an emotional imbecile and it definitely didnt start there the only effective tool against the lies of Satan are the words of God
Aiden Adams
I don't cherish the old episodes, they're terrible. Odd how people bitch about the hundreds of episodes they've never even watched before.
Ethan Foster
Yeah that's why they made Marge a housewife in a time where housewifes were disappearing, becausethey wanted to destroy the family unit
Landon Thompson
He calls him dad sometimes
Logan Turner
James L Brooks looks like a great guy to me! Nevermind that thing about him stabbing his best friend in the back and gloating about it at his funeral.
Will & Grace was a culturally enriching show as well, very very good!! Thank you JLB!
Marge isn't important, so she's called Mom to ruin her identity as an individual while focusing on her role as a parent being her only significant contribution to the family
Homer's name is important because he's meant to be the focal point of the audience so his name is repeated to get the audience to know him as an individual and feel more comfortable around him.
tl;dr Marge being a mom is all she has. Homer is the star.
from day one the Simpsons has been propaganda from (((them)))
Carson Fisher
Didn't Ronald Reagan say something along the lines of the simpsons being terrible fpr society because it had such a negative portrayal of family dynamics and negative family values
Joshua Baker
No, Bush Sr said Sneed was terrible fpr society because he had such a negative portrayal of seed and feed stores.
Nathaniel Rivera
Really feeds my seeds
Xavier Adams
I have watched every single episode of the Simpsons at least once and I think that so called golden age episodes have much better quality than season 15-30 episodes. Fight me you little shit
I've called my parents by their first names since I was 8 or 9 years old and I'm 29 now. Ask me anything.
Lincoln Lee
Are their names Sneed and Chuck?
Liam Martin
>Did you ever consider its because the left wants to destroy the family hierarchy and family values... literally destroy families?
When Marx was criticizing the "nuclear family" he did so, not because he was irrationally angry at happy families, he did so because he saw it as an unhealthy perversion of the larger, more communal family unit that he felt was a more natural way for people to live. Marxism isn't a radically individualist ideology, where the family is already considered to collectivist. That's effectively the complete opposite of what it is. That's Ayn Rand and all of that garbage.
Cameron Howard
It's literally just because it was the 90s and Bart was supposed to be a rude dude with a 'tude and didn't respect his parents. If anything old simpsons episodes were may more sappy and sentimental than they needed to be.
Christian Bennett
>did you ever wonder why Bart never says "Dad", always "Homer"? >Did you ever consider its because the left wants to destroy the family hierarchy and family values literally the exact reason i wasn't allowed to watch it growing up.
Parker Ortiz
OP got it completely right.
Simspons are #1 Family Corrupters and the only reason people don't notice it, is because it is a very funny show.
* Bart and Lisa always disrespect their father * Bart and Lisa torment each other, with electrocutes (to proof if they are more stupid than an hamster) or self-mutilation (to make the other one look bad among parents) * Homer not even remotely caring about parenting and Marge accepts it, because it's "just the way he loves him" * Every single marriage episode brainwashes it viewers in telling that marrying and having children are a pain in the ass * Millions of episode indulging about Homer or Marge being attracted in cheating each other and only avoid it at the end so they can appear all moral
And so on...
Luke Cox

Why don't most alt right retards understand perspective
The writers didn't make The Simpsons "Dysfunctional" as a way to go "I want to be like them"
The Simpsons are dysfunctional to laugh at them
Op is a fucking retard who would say Peter Griffin is a character trying to get men to be stupid even though the whole point is to laugh at the stupidity
Stupid fucking /pol/ retards, their stupidity unironically makes me butthurt
I do that. It started off as a way to annoy them and now I just feel disgusted to call them dad and mom.
Bentley Scott
This is just a fraud. You see there is a thin line between "satire" and "glamorization".
Take Wolf of Wall Street for example. Also pretending to be a Satire on evil brokers. And yet these people live like rockstars, have all the money and all the girls and stick together. Absolutely not appealing eh?
People adapt the humor of the Simpson. And that humor, albeit a funny one, is literally based on demeaning and ridiculing each other. And a lot of Millennials obviously adapted that way of behavior.
South Park and Family Guy may be far worse in that, but it's The Simpsons who started this kind of comedy in the first place.
Cooper Allen
What I've always wondered about Simpsons was that E-I-E-I-D'oh episode, where they go to this farmers' equipment store called Sneed's Feed and Seed, but there's this weird subtitle on the sign: "formerly Chuck's"
What was that about? I never figured it out.
John Bennett
Are you telling me with a straight face, they wanted you to start calling your dad by the first name?
Also most Gangster movies show the lifestyle of mobsters because that's unironically how they lived.
The point of those movies is that all the glamorous lifestyle will eventually burn down.
>Demeaning and ridiculing
This is literally your broadest point
Tell me your ideology and I can guarantee you their has been works by them to demean
Comedy has always been mean, that's the entire point of it.
If you think people in the 30s were more polite to people who weren't like them, then lmao
Ian Cooper
>simpsons started demeaning comedy where families ridicule eachother i must be remembering honeymooners and all in the family wrong.
Angel Jones
As if a fucking creep like you would know anything about what family is
Nicholas Rivera
>Ronald Reagan >the guy that pretty much destroyed civil society by turning everything out there into an unrestricted market place whines about loss of virtues for society That would be rich
Dylan Rogers
>The point of those movies is that all the glamorous lifestyle will eventually burn down. Yes and that's why it's appealing to the younger generation. "Live Fast, Die Young", ya know.
But this is nowhere near the reality. Most mobsters are lowlife scum who sleep with anyone and betray anyone, hence why the CIA breed the Columbian cocaine drug lords and then killed them off subsequently. No family honor, no sly businessmen, no womanizers - like the Godfather series wants to brainwash you.
>Comedy has always been mean, that's the entire point of it. No it has not. People don't notice it, because todays media appeals SOLELY to all bad things and normalized it to an extent, that you think this was always like that.
I just talked to often with edgy Millennials and in many cases they started insulting or joking about me in the very first moment I've met them.
Where does this behavior come from? You cannot tell me this was normal in the 50s.
Ethan Torres
No, I meant Simpsons started this kind of "Animated sitcom" humor aka edgelord humor for oh-so-smart hipsters and basement dwellers.
I know, American media has been corrupting peoples minds since inception.
Anthony Howard
Godfather had no intent to "Brainwash" you It had a story to tell
If "Godfather" was to brainwash you then movies about vikings and explorers portrayed in any noble way should be considered brainwashing then, they did bad things too.
Also most gangster flicks show the negative aspects of it all too
Watch Goodfellas and tell me that it's "Pro gangster"
>I just talked to often with edgy Millennials and in many cases they started insulting or joking about me in the very first moment I've met them.
You think "Edgyness" just plopped from the Simpsons? Go to a bar anytime from the 30s - 70s and pretend people weren't assholes
You think /pol/ has a vile violent sense of humor from The Simpsons?
The Behavior comes from the fact most people are just naturally assholes
i dont know who this guy is,but he looks like hes made of CHEESE hahaha
Jayden Roberts
>muh left It's because homer is a shit father. And he does say dad anyway.
Sebastian Carter
he does that because he hates homer its not potryaed in a positive light or as a cool thing to do

I actually know several people who call their parents by their first names. I've never questioned them about it but it is rather weird and disrespectful. I occasionally call my mother by her first name but only in jest, like I'm emphasizing a point as if I'm a teacher or something.
I think the disrespect thing is actually the gag they were going for. Bart doesn't see Homer as a father figure because he isn't a very good one, plus Bart is inherently rebellious. It was just meant to be funny that he calls his dad by his first name. It's just kinda sad when people actually do it in real life.
Kayden Sullivan
you guys sneed to understand, there’s no way I’m reading all that shit
but people liked archie. Despite being un-PC he was a good person
Cooper Taylor
wow its a shame grandpa is that far down
Hudson White
anyone else feel kind of weird referring to anyone they know by their name while directly addressing them?
I usually just look at them and start talking, maybe a "hey" or "hi" first
Luis Ward
All the popular girls in high school use to call their dads by their first name. I found it very grating.

Marx wanted to destroy Western Civilization as we know it. Don't you dare even try to stick up for him
Hudson Reed
>the simpsons was degenerate lol >spends all his time on Yea Forums

Because leftists destroyed the Family. Don't you ever wonder why no women wants to settle down with a nice man anymore? Get your head out of the sand.
Julian Campbell
I laugh so hard about 21st century Marxist.
One might ask, how someone being responsible for one of the most genocidal ideology in history, can still be praised. Then you get the answer: "Ooooh, Marx was always misunderstood and REAL Marxism was never implemented."
Marx ramblings are full of justification of violence, full of intolerance against anyone opposed to it (by saying the opposers are brainwashed by the "bourgeoisie") and full of creepy sectarian messianic talk about the destruction of all families and creation of a revolution.
That guy is one of the worst people in history, period. If you call me now an "alt right troll", please do yourself a favor and go to any Eastern European country (except maybe Russia) and teach them your Marxist lessons. Better take a bulletproof west with you.

People in the alt-right are like impressionable children

I...I’ve never called my parents or anyone else... anything. I have trouble saying people’s names. I have never said “miss”, while raising my hand. I’ve never said “hey [...]” while greeting a friend. I’ve never asked “mom, what’s for dinner”. I’ve probably called my parents mom and dad a few times when I was younger, but around 6 years old or so, I stopped. It’s... difficult for me to utter these words. I’ve also never told them that I love them. I don’t know why. I mean, what’s difficult about calling your friend by their name? I don’t know, but I’ve never done it. It doesn’t sit right by me. What’s wrong with me?
