Alexander Skarsgard, Armie Hammer, Sam Heughan and Charlie Hunnan are being eyed for the male lead, Ikaris; while possible contenders for the secondary female lead, Sersi, include Sofia Boutella, Tatiana Maslany and Marie Avgerepoulous. Luke Evans, Sylvia Hoeks, Rami Malek, Millie Bobby Brown, David Oyelowo and Ian McShane, among many others, are being eyed for supporting roles. No offers on the table yet.

Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Pom Klementieff, Karen Gillan and Elizabeth Debicki expected to return. Before being fired, James Gunn was eyeing Zac Effron and Liam Neeson for roles.

Marvel doesn't seem to like to hire actors that are fairly well-known or very well-known to play major roles unless they don't expect them to appear much outside of one movie or maybe there is something unusual about the character such that they are limited in who they think the can select from like what may have been the case with Peter Dinklage's character. So either this is inaccurate, they don't plan for Ikaris to appear much outside of one movie, or they are changing how they do things.

Captain America has been alive for a long, long time again. I thing he was brought back after, or during the Siege on Asgard led by Norman Osborn and his Dark Avengers. It's been a while since I read it, but I'm pretty sure that the gist was that he got stuck in time rather than killed, and Scarlet Witch alongside Hawkeye brought him back, or some shit. After that, Steve Rogers took over S.H.I.E.L.D while Bucky took up the mantle of Captain America. Then later, Falcon took over that same role while Bucky was flying around space genociding aliens to save humanity or something.

I can't remember what happened after the multiverse was destroyed at the start of the Secret Wars in 2015 though.

I like Shang Chi. Well, I don't really like the character itself, but I like what he becomes at the end of Time Runs Out.
