The best way to look at it is like the jump from Dragon Ball to Dragon Ball Z. Then Stone Ocean is like GT.

Dragon Ball was more about technique and learning new abilities. Then Z was mostly pure power scaling. Except Joseph got lost in the Power Creep for most stands.

People have guardian spirits called Stands, manifestations of their 'fighting spirit' that have ridiculously specific and sometimes grossly overpowered abilities to the point of absurdity, but they literally don't matter because winning a fight depends on how many ass pulls you have up your sleeve. JoJo fights require playing 4D chess in your own head. It's incredibly fun and many of the Stands are creatively used. The series of the Joestar bloodline from Victorian England sunlight magic musclemen men to Florida prison lesbians, there's some recurring characters and one villain is basically responsible for everything that ever happens.

I can't stand the anime. I read that Araki based the dododo sound effect off of 80's horror movie synth and so I read jojo's with that music on and it completely changed the atmosphere. The jammy action packed music in the anime just seems dishonest now

Death Note I liked as long as L was around and OPM I don't really remember. I really like Attack on Titan and I'm wondering if I should check out any other weebshit to see if there's any that are as based. I've been thinking about checking out Evangelion, for one, but is Jojo actually good?
