Is this the first first-person/FPS movie ever made? Sort of like how Blair Witch Project is one of the 'first' of the found footage genre? If not, are there other films like it?
First person has been a thing since the 40s; Google Lady in the Lake film noir
Josiah Garcia
Also look up Hotel Inferno
Andrew Jackson
Maniac (2012) is a first person slasher and its great
Jack Allen
That's for the recommendations!
Sebastian Bailey
Wasn't Enter the Void first person and even first penis
Dylan Smith
It would be even better if not for the suspension of disbelief that Frodo is a serial killer.
Jaxon Thompson
>I love you Henry, and I'll never call you anything but your name
Why the fuck did that line hit me so hard and stick with me? The movie was fun but it was just dumb action. It had no right to have such a kino scene.
Jacob Kelly
>doesn't like Sin City
Nolan Cruz
No one with taste likes Sin City.
Hunter James
YOU are Phillip Marlowe! K-I-N-O Anyway, there's a few movies shot completely in POV. Grace (2014) aka Grace the Possession is one. Shit movie trying to cross Carrie and The Exorcist, but all in POV. There's even a mastrurbation scene. Not as hot as it sounds.
Logan Rivera
What's your favourite part about the movie? The action? The angles? The music?
Aiden Sullivan
Found footage isn't a genre
Christopher Wilson
>be young as fuck >see trailer for Doom >assume the whole thing is in first person, because of a cut of that one scene >tell parents about how its just like my video games >Dad tells me that dumb and probably not true >swear up and down that its true >takes me to see it >not in first-person at all >Dad loudly sighs and goes LOOKS LIKE I WAS RIGHT BUD at least every 5 minutes. Wont stop looking at me smiling like a faggot >talks shit to me the whole way home I think I pissed him off with my over excitement in the weeks leading up to us going.
Evan Baker
>the Doom people got death threats
At least the Doom fan base had more balls than The Witcher fan base.
The TV series is going to fucking suck ass.
Brayden Stewart
Based Dad. Who would be excited to see a Doom movie ya dumb little shit?
I don't recall, but didn't The raid have a few POV scenes?
Alexander Harris
Russian Ark is first person POV but otherwise is nothing like Hardcore Henry lol
James Jenkins
I still haven't seen The Raid. I loved Dredd, and every time anyone talks about it there is always someone whining about how The Raid is the same thing, but better. I should really watch it sometime.
Aaron Hall
I haven't seen Dredd, but people said it was good as well. I've seen some .webms here and there. The Raid is fucking kino. Long action sequences, real punches that you can feel the impact from, and barely any cuts.
Eli Martinez
Wo, are you me?
Kevin Rodriguez
Brush, didn’t you watch the news. We ain’t getting no first person shooting for a long time.
Gabriel Thompson
Look up the Christchurch Mosque shooting.
Lincoln Thompson
Basically a sequel to the "Saviour" with Quaid
Zachary Sullivan
Eh? Haven't heard about the sequel before.
Isaiah Collins
YEP. LOOKS LIKE I WAS RIGHT NUD
*nudge nudge*
Hey, at least your mother will have a first person view tonight
*wink wink*
Jackson Baker
Lol
Chase Howard
Based boomer
Michael Howard
I think you're legally within your rights to shoot your dad if he did that.
pretty wild. tim roth rolling into an almost crank level action flick and making you feel emotion in a performance that couldn't've been more than a minute of screen time total. wish that dude was in more stuff nowadays.
Leo Rivera
Regardless of what happened, the film was undeniably kino. The cinematography was perfectly presented, and lines such as "Subscribe to PewDiePie" juxtaposed against the confronting imagery were downright lynchian. The soundtrack doubling as a practical timer in place of a traditional wristwatch for the protagonist was clever, and that isn't even saying anything about the big "GOD OF HELLFIRE" moment people have been raving about. I'll keep it short here: certified fresh.
Nathaniel Martinez
Oh fuck Felix is gonna be happy about this. He doesn't even upload today because of the shooting. I see how this can be funny to you, but it really isn't.
Jordan Rivera
I genuinely want ro discuss the cinematic aspects of the real reason you made this thread
all they had to do is have actual demons but cant have that in a christian movie theater.
Kevin Sanders
my only complaints about hardcore are Jimmy does not get enough development, he is such an interesting character but only has 5 min segments with each avatar.
oh and the climax is such a sloppy cheap cgi cringe fest but it only lasts 5 mins again so its bearable.
never ever a sequel though because its russian and RUSSIA MAN BAD
Thomas Hill
You aren't fooling me OP
Oliver Perez
is this the new Tienanmen square pasta?
Daniel Ross
I expected him to set the parking lot on fire
Gavin Harris
Looks kind of bad the flashing is annoying. Probably not a good theater movie.
Tyler Perry
One thing that's really good about hardcore Henry is how the MC comes across as a likeable guy despite you never seeing his face or hearing his voice
Xavier Price
Damn I came here to make a Hardcore Henry thread. Should have guessed there would already be one.
Christian Allen
Why the fuck is the janny still deleting posts about the shooting? It's not like OP actually wanted to talk about the movie.
