What is your favorite John Carpenter's film?
What is your favorite John Carpenter's film?
I haven't seen them all but so far Prince of Darkness
My least favourite (still fine though) Starman
A few months ago I would have said The Thing is my favourite (and I still like it a lot) but Prince of Darkness is more carpenter and sone scenes are pure KINO
Prince of Darkness has such an overwhelming atmosphere to it it's amazing.
PoD, In the Mouth of Madness, The Thing, and Halloween all capture this apocalyptic dread that very few filmmakers have ever even approached.
Also I absolutely love Christine, some parts are filmmaking at it's finest
when Christine accidentally kills her lover, the lights turn on in a bright otherworldly glow and the radio sings Forever my Darling, pure KINO
I'd say Attack on precinct 13.
It's not the best, but shows that you can make an engaging, suspenseful movie out of anything if you know what you're doing.
Can you really pick a favorite Carpenter film?
Implying Starman isn't absolute kino.
Karen Allen was a babe
Memoirs of an Invisible Man is underrated.
In that order:
The Thing
The Fog
Halloween
In the Mouth of Madness
Escape from New York
They Live
Prince of Darkness
there's more but these are my all time favourites from Carpenter.
Which made the best invisible man kino?
Carpenter or Verhoeven?
haven't watched Carpenter's yet
