What the fuck is this a reference to? I swear I remember one of my colleagues telling me that Asians believe in “fan death” or something that happens when you sleep with the fan on, but nobody else I have ever spoken to -until I saw your post, has been able to verify that people believe that.

I live in Japan. Everyone thinks you'll catch a terrible cold and die. When I tell people I sleep with my AC on in my underwear during the summer, they're blown away. Japanese people are basically made of thin glass and paper machete.
