Thoughts?

haven't seen it in a while but i remember it being a really good film.

Catholic’s called it blasphemous but I liked the humanity in it, and how he still made the moral decision in the end. It was a nice what if moment. Anyway is passion of the Christ worth watching if I enjoyed this?

why isn't there a christian movie general?

It’s a shame Willem isn’t more highly regarded in Hollywood or been in much else to this standard. I liked his performance.

I haven’t seen much else sadly with religious tones.

Surprisingly good but a tough book to adapt, especially with that budget. The financial constraints really took a toll on some of the scenes, things just look like a stage production sometimes.

It;s funny because people would probably throw money at Scorcese if he tired to make this movie now, given what happened with the Passion.

Why was this film so controversial?

It tried to imply that the Romans were the ones who persecuted Jesus and not the Jews.

Shows Jesus sinning. Fornicating etc. Diverted from the bible. Personally I didn’t find it so bad.
