I liked infinity war. It's not too shabby desu
Are you stupid? It was fucking horrible and made no sense. Why the fuck could captain america fist fight the most powerful entity in the universe? how could the girl beam battle with the most powerful entity in the universe. Why was there so many plot holes in the story?
Literally the most uninspired trash.
>Why was there so many plot holes in the story?
like?
All the ones I just listed and more for example
The axe is more powerful than the gauntlet with all the gems even though thats supposed to be the de facto powerful object in the universe.
No it isn't.
The axe was to kill thanos not overpower the gauntlet
I did too and have hated every Marvel movie since Winter Soilder but its a great summer blockbuster
This is what counts for "film analysis" these days? Pathetic. Next you'll say time passing is a plot hole because it's not always noon.
It was good fun. Every scene with Chris Pratt was pure kino.
The scene where Spidey almost pulled off the glove was suspenseful. Even though I knew there was no way he was going to pull it off, for some reason I thought he just might and was rooting for him all the way.
I was at the edge of my seat desu, and I generally hate capeshit and only saw this cause my gf begged me to go.
Fist fight? He was struggling to hold his fist then got knocked out.
It is a enjoyable flick with great action scenes and better writing and character depth than that is usual for marvel. That being said I still think all capeshit is an absolute cancer on the industry
If a guy has a gun and I stab him from behind it doesn't make the knife better than the gun.
Jesus christ not even worth the (you), but have it anyway. you niggers don't even know anymore why you hate something, you just hate it.
>he doesnt understand thematic elements of the story represented in reality
>Why the fuck could captain america fist fight the most powerful entity in the universe?
You mean when Thanos was surprised Cpt was slightly stronger than the average ant then slapped him aside?
>how could the girl beam battle with the most powerful entity in the universe.
he overpowered her with almost no effort
Are you a moron? He didn't know Thor had a powerup and was gunning for him. The rest he was toying with.
Read a book.
I thought it was ok, that's about it.
At least it wasn't Ragnarok.
Doesn't matter, user.
You'd still watch every single one of it.
He literally just gave five different specific examples as to why IW is garbage, are you illiterate?
I recently watched it for the first time. I liked it as well.
>yeah it was ok i guess hehe
>i liked it a little bit
>it was fun at least! haha!
People here are afraid to say they think a movie is good, afraid to say they liked it. When will you GROW UP FUUUUCKING HELL
maybe i'm just too old for this website
But I thought it was truly meh after countless years of "Thanos is coming, look busy."
He was such a chump in the film.
Thor caught Thanos by surprise with that first lightning bolt and as a result Thanos reacted with a weaker than full-power guantlet blast.
I liked Black Panther but everyone thinks that liking it is some form of virtue signalling when I actually liked the movie for its three villains which I thought were handled decently.
Bait but still...have sex.
>Thor has the entire Wakanda battle to practice using the ThorForce + Stormbreaker before Thanos arrives
>essentially trolls Thanos the moment he completes his gauntlet, giving him no time to comprehend "infinite" power
I actually liked Pratt in it (more so than usual) even though everyone shits on his character in this movie.
>thanos plan is somehow wrong, there is a better way to solve the problem
>no one ever tries to convince him of this, no one even tries to think about the problem, he is just automatically dismissed because killing people is bad
Based And purplepilled
classic, have a (You)
He was just fucking with them just to make their defeat worse
It was great. A long ass movie that's action packed, has plenty of fanservice, and intense dramatic character moments. And finally, a superhero movie where they lose, them all just fucking dying at the end was icing on the cake. If that was the end of Marvel it really woulda been something huh.
I disagree. Thanos was excellent in the film and they did a pretty solid job of conveying the atmosphere of Thanos Quest and the Infinity War. Yea, his plan is retarded but it was just as dumb in the comics. I don't like how they nerfed the Gauntlet either but it was pretty good for an MCU movie.
Based Doom
>Actually wanting the extremely cliche "You're insane"/"No...I'm the only one who's SANE" scene
They all knew he was fucking insane, zero point in making conversation
It would have been nihlism porn, this is the same shit that makes the /got/ general unbearable
I agree user
>the atmosphere of Thanos Quest and Infinity War
I wholeheartedly disagree on your statement on that part.
The gauntlet itself isn't even the one that got nerfed it's the Mad Titan himself.
I'm sure that's a comfort to the half of the universe that died. They would have tried but they were really quite sure there was no point so they didn't bother. Based superheroes.
I hate modern nihilism with a passion but it would have been a great ending. A good ending for capeshit in general, or the possibility to continue the story a few years down the line with maximum anticipation
>Why didn't Bush just talk to Bin Laden bro
Thanos Quest is 100% about what moves Thanos. So is the movie. It's not executed as well as the comics but I thought it enjoyable. Killing off half the universe to prove his worth to Death (and then ironically becoming too worthy) is a little more nuanced sure. I knew they would nerf Thanos the moment he was revealed so that didn't bother me at all, we all had years to get used to the idea. What bothered you about the film?
>implying he didn’t
Death removes the agency from his character and you can sure as shit believe this sub would have mocked the movie for it
>Alan Silvestri coming back for Endgame
My cock is rocked. One of my all time favorite film composers and his music was one of the best parts of the movie. The film was great on its own but his score sealed the deal on the film feeling less like capeshit and more of an epic. Only him and Michael Giacchino actually give a shit about the music in the MCU and they knock it out of the park every time imo.
I thoroughly remember (or misremember) Thanos inextricably explaining in Thanos quest that the stones are more than just a weapon, in there he is mad but he is also very cunning and intelligent in arranging his plans, much more so than a common space warlord the film portrays him.
The film is lacking due to part of missing characters that is essential to his very character. (Warlock, Death, etc.)
He comes off as fucking Mongul rather than Thanos, even then I think Mongul will come even more prepared to fight the Justice League than Thanos did with the Avengers in the movie.
I'm pretty sure they brought Starlin in to supervise writing him but then it comes off that they only prepared him for that one film rather actually BUILDING him up for a decade.
That 10 year hallmark is such utter tripe.
Nobody would.
Death wouldn't remove Thanos' agency, at best will reinforce it and his tragedy.
I actually really like GotG and was worried about their goofy crew colliding with the GRIMSERIOUS post-Civil War MCU.
I thought their scenes were pretty funny and it just makes me want more GotG.
That makes sense, I agree that the buildup wasn't anywhere near as good as it could have been.
That's just me being a pedant though, you can fully disregard it.
Next stop, I want to see how the DCEU leads up to their Fourth World stuff.
I've never read any of the DC Fourth World stuff or 'cosmic' DC beyond green lantern stuff. any recommends?
this is the first time ive ever seen someone say grimdark in reference to the mcu
My problem with infinity war was character placement. It got a little bit like Dragon ball GT with super power dudes fighting known weak ones. There were like 20 charaters to juggle so i understand its difficult. But Vision was super under powered, Strange could have had a longer cooler fight. Spiderman should have been doing something else along with some of the Guardians of the Galaxy guys. Hulk was under used.
I would have redone it so that the high powered characters fought Thanos and the others went to do something helpful like sabotage something, questing, or fight that pointless army at the end.
Give it a 7.5 to 8 out of 10 for Character placement.
I love that the Russos know How to follow the character traits from other movies...the hints are always there.Only Dumb normies would complain
Which are butt fucking retarded examples that were refuted by other anons. Fuck off.
That ending scene with Thanos had no right being in a capeshit flick.
>When Capeshit is too smart for you
Believe it or not, a 20+ movie cycle can have kino scenes here and there
