nah not really, nu-wars was built on nostalgia and been spinning it's wheels with no clear direction from day one, TFA basically got a free pass on hype alone, it was ok but nothign special, but they didn't really know where to go from there and it shows.
in comparison, the mcu has been pumping out these movies for a solid decade without any major fuck ups, starting from nothing with b-list characters, they've nailed down their formula to produce at bare minimum a competent blockbuster and they don't stray from it. for all the social media screeching, clickbait articles and autistic shitposting about captain marvel on here in the build up to it, turns out it was just a very average mcu movie.
