Just modern day life in general. It’s not enough for a product to be “good” anymore- it has to be addictive. Video games, social media, food, movies, tinder: they’re all designed with Skinner box methodology to put hooks in your sides to make you want more. Try to tell anyone this they’ll either call you paranoid or they’ll vehemently defend whatever it is they’re addicted to. There is no escape. Just surrender to entertaining yourself to death

The Lost Room is an interesting mini series, John From Cincinnati is pretty great too if you can deal with not knowing very much. But nothing else I can think of. The first season of Channel Zero is pretty good too.

Nothing It's the peak of television as a medium so far. Twin Peaks as a whole comes close.

That was also my first exposure to it.
