Your average actor is of average height. Some people are just surprised because a lot of actors play tough guys and aren't as tall as they seem in film. But there are plenty of actors over 6'0.

For me I thought the opposite of Hugh Jackman because Wolverine is usually short but he's 6'2. But tons of guys like the Goose is 6'0, Ryan Reynolds is 6'2, etc.

I guarantee the spectrum of average height and actor height are about the same

I know fag, it's clear these numbers don't reflect in reality. The tallest countries average height is about 5'11", with the Dutch closing into 6'. Mutts stand on 5'10". You already stand out being 6'1" in most countries and you are already above average in Dutch countries.
Most women will be close to 5'7, being rarer to be above 5'10. That's why lanklets complain about not finding partners around their height.

Framing people together is hard. If you have a man and woman, it's just easier if he's a manlet so there's not constantly a difference in height that needs to be accounted for.

This, up to a point, looks more aesthetic and makes expression of emotion on the face easier and more visible from a distance.
