I miss him, bros. He invited conservatives onto his show, he shook hands with Bill O'Reilly, he tried to make jokes in between ranting, he had a lot of lame voice impersonations that he kept doing over and over even though no one ever found them funny.

How are all of his acolytes so utterly talentless? Did they learn nothing from him?

The Jon Stewart style of comedy isn't meant to be "funny" so much as clever political pretension for millennials to smirk at and nod along with.

Traditional, military-industrial conservatism was alive and well during the Bush administration and at the beginning Jon Stewart's approach was genuinely novel. Now that the country's political factions are polarized into their social media bubbles and political talk shows just amplify the echoes in their respective chambers, the novelty factor is gone. There was something special about pre-Obama countercultural liberalism that's long since been commandeered by psycho opinion-controlling freaks.
