Wow i couldn't believe how much i enjoyed this...

Wow i couldn't believe how much i enjoyed this. starts kinda generic but ends up being really solid adventure film with great characters.

Yeah, a most violent year is better but one death in this is great/hilarious

This movie was fucking GARBAGE.
I honestly don't know how Netflix continues to fuck up literal sure things.

Fuck Netflix. Now begone shill.

solid start, the scenes in the house were good, the ending was shitty.
some of the songs used felt really out of place like that creedence one
it's a 7, shame because i was hopping for something better

yeah i agree, most violent year is still my favorite from this director, but this was solid

Considering we don’t really good macho action films anymore, I’ll take what I can get

netflix just funded this, i dont understand how people dont get this, netflix just gives money to directors, they dont make shit themselves.

Damn, just one more thread and it woulda been triple

Attached: oneoff.jpg (683x460, 88K)

First half:
>elite fighting force plans and executes a heist
Second half:
>every elite soldier suddenly turns into a fucking retard.
The ending:
>Hurr durrr people died so I don't want to keep the money.

So fucking bad. They tried to emulate a 80-90's action kino and it failed because they injected it with basedboy feelings. Fucking gay.

Only thing that annoyed me was how they slung their rifles

The violence was great but the donkey scene for example was a meme

i just finished watching it 10 minutes
ago
kinda sloppy desu
i hate the type of basic lens, camerawork and colour grading you see in this film and almost every film in the past 10 year
it just seems flat and cheap
it was interesting until halfway through and then it went to shit

it made sense to me, they were no longer at the top of their game, each had something weighting them down, i liked how redfly was supposed to be the most badass but he fucked up the most, made his character feel more real.

Would you REALLY give the money to charity

i was really expecting the girl to run away with the loaded van in one of the scenes
also,
>no betrayals
come on, one of the boys should've tried something

>i hate the type of basic lens, camerawork and colour grading you see in this film and almost every film in the past 10 year
>it just seems flat and cheap

yeah, its the netflix camera/visual department, i noticed a lot of netflix films look the same, have the same colour grading.

Yeah they do. What are you stupid? Netflix funds (((them))). The only exception was that movie about the quantum ghost. SPECTRAL was Boss!

it was redflys family they were giving money to. At that point, in a fuckup this big, the only thing they had left to take pride in was the honor, makes sense to me. Probably not to you, you basedgoo

that would defeat the purpose of it being a bro movie dumbass

Netflix seems to zero in on flicks with terrible scripts

wow this post makes no sense

yeah netflix films specifically all have the same grading. it looks like they were filmed on a regular digital camera. digital is shit in general compared to film, but if i can find COMMERCIALS that have better cinematography than all these netflix films then something is wrong.

i think netflix doesnt let directors pick their own technicians and camera crew, unless you're scorsese

fine, the girl could've done something, or the airplane dude or one of the village dudes in not a retarded way like that.
i was hoping that dude would shoot ben affleck in the back when they were leaving

Reddit flick

If they stuck to the plan they would have gotten off fine. But they decide instead of 50 million they need 250 million. Pissed me the fuck off.10 million is plenty to live comfortably

why didint they just do two rounds with the heli

specifically why spielberg wants to keep netflix out of the oscars. 99% of their movies are watered down, mass produced shit; they don’t care about the craft.

its not they, it was redfly, i thought it was great twist - the guy that everyone trusted the most and counted on fucked them all up because he was too greedy. The youngest who was still idealistic was the smartest.

good point

>druglord lines his drywall in a tropical rainforest with money

Attached: a54t.jpg (225x225, 7K)

I fucking liked it.

Let me just say that that opening in the slum was bullshit. I live in Brazil and I lived in the projects for many years. When the chopper is heard every fucking dealer, sicario (or soldado) hides the fuck out in the most unacessible part of the favela. They don't go toe to toe with the police because they know that they would drop like flies.

Also, operations like those are done with fortified vehicles (or caveirões) amd they use at least 50 men.

Attached: 1550945925013.jpg (1129x2000, 838K)

Looks like it's gonna be kinda blue-green.

Attached: file.png (1072x489, 566K)

tell me more about cinema, thug user

This. Classic money in the wall

Also, to track thug movement around the operation site they keep a chopper surveying the sorrounding area. They could've got themselves ambushed easily in that scenario.

What the fuck I know. I just like this movie.

I thought that Redfly would betray them for the money. Guy was true. F.

I dropped it after Affleck was showing the nigger ape and his pregnant white wife the house. I also cringe every time Charlie Hunnam speaks.

Attached: racoon.jpg (1095x574, 41K)

Too many men hugging in this movie.
Quite gay.

Attached: 1302021850454.gif (300x225, 752K)

CH's character was the only one that knew how fucking greedy the whole thing was and kept it real.

They are clearly no homo hugs

Good soundtrack

just because you like metallica and know some of the other songs doesnt make it good

Attached: 1551749407609.png (537x537, 181K)

How much do you think about niggers fucking white women? So much so that you quit a film after seeing a mixed race couple.

It's only insecure niggers like you that are afraid of coons taking our women. If you were a stud she wouldn't look sideways at them.

I don’t think about it at all, it’s constantly forced in my face.

They did literally nothing wrong.

The bad guys won

Fuck South American subhumans

idk about this film specifically, but in general netflix acts as a distributor. They bid on the project along with every other studio and if they win they show the finished product on their platform instead of distributing it to theaters

I didn't even notice the couple was mixed. I was more focused on Ben Affleck being a shit salesman

>it's a movie about "toxic masculinity"
When will they just let us be

Attached: 1517158562703.jpg (249x243, 12K)

>>it's a movie about "toxic masculinity"
Is it? They make some bad decisions but hardly toxic masculinity.

>arrange a raid/assassination/robbery with a helicopter
>don't bother just simply going back to the ditch to get the money later

This annoyed me. It would be very easy to do since nobody knows it's there or that they are going, and the money they left there itself is most likely more than what they initially expected to get out of the whole thing.

Enjoyable movie anyway.

i thought it was more about american imperialism

the most powerful shot in the film for me was the shot of cartels boss son looking at them pass by through open car window

should have guessed that Affleck dies by that pretty camera shot when he said goodbye to his daughter

it was hard to root for them after they didn't left some of the money behind when they knew chopper will have a hard time lifting it, also I think any sane person would just throw everything out of the chopper when the bipper started bipping

I remember War Machine being really intriguing in the beginning before it just went fucking nowhere. Does this movie go out the same way?

Literally what Affleck said it was about

we now have 4 threads about this movie, I think with some coordination we can make this happen

/pol/ has rotted his brain

Death of the author.

oh yes it's netflix. we always need that race mixing propaganda

Attached: file.png (2526x1273, 2.76M)

>american imperialism
Memes.

Yup. Expected it to be cynical but ended up uplifting. Great film.

Fuck, you're stupid.

This. It freaks me out how people get angry over characters with quantum of depth.

I keked at that. It's a Netflix production after all. You throwing it shows how deeply your cuckfantasies infiltrated your mind already. Get better.

I hope you're not this retarded

It was about burned out veterans fighting for their souls, fuck's sake.

No. Their behavior was perfectly plausible, considering their individual situations.

did you watch the ending? Charlie hunnam gave him the coordinates of the ditch

No it's about how toxic masculinity boils down to greed and the domineering use of women and the murder of indigenous peoples is irrelevant when a white man sees profit for himself.

Attached: 1518127295418.png (600x700, 386K)

>ignores Cuba doing worse shit and destroying nations.
Lol, nothin' personell.

Do you really think that's funny? Even if someone bites, you're still the bigger retard, wasting everyone's time.

There are foundations that give grants, funding, etc to film studios if the studio meets certain requisites. Some of these requisites are: interracial marriage, having a racially diverse main cast, depicting lgbtqa+ characters in a positive light, depicting characters with mental and/or physical disabilities in a positive light (why do you think every movie has at least one amputee?).

Take it one step back and ask yourself: who operates these foundations, and why do they operate these foundations? What is their goal?

Attached: 1547803065631.gif (200x131, 1.43M)

Explain to me how that interpretation of the events in the story are implausible. Show your work.

Fuck off.

Not an argument.

I don't know how he made a movie about heating oil shenanigans so interesting

Them leaving all the money in the house, then having to ditch so much along the way was giving me genuine anxiety

100mil would have fixed everything. Trying to save the other totally unnecessary EXTRA 150 and completely jeopardizing your chances for success is fucking stupid. I am not a trained killer with years of training, exercises and practical experience at adapting to changing mission conditions and completing the mission at all costs but I'm apparently smarter than every one of those characters.

nice copying your post from the other thread fag

It's not about how much they already had, it's about how much they left behind.

It's basic FOMO psychology

Kek. Already in pasta mode.
>I'm apparently smarter than every one of those characters.
A very cringey one at that. Stop watching movies, brainlet.

The movie was more than ok you brainlets.
There will be no homosexual orgy once trained killers are set out.
The movie is simple pointing out the money, but what the hell?
It's still good because it does.

You know it is true.

Attached: the-wild-bunch-remake.jpg (948x435, 394K)

It's a great gangster drama

it makes sense when you understand they have been trekking over a week on foot in terrible conditions
warfighters aren't stoic machines like in your vidyagames, faggot

Good movie

The scene where he's giving the chick her money and Affleck is questioning her with the roar of the chopper in the background is great stuff

Not just stashing the money and evacing until later was full blown brainlet status and unbelievable

>Not just stashing the money and evacing until later
so much this. no one would ever find it up in the mountain

good kino. it's literally a retelling of getting the dragon's gold and how it corrupts everything and everyone.

>hunnam bongistan accent comes out

what about the idea of them tarnishing innocent lives, making even more enemies than they had in the first place, and fucking themselves psychologically just because they wanted lil bit of extra cash from foreign soil?

lmao that was hilarious, it happens multiple times too

Solid.
Having Pascal and Isaac in one movie was really nice.
Story is generic but it's solid. The way they lose all the money seems fair and not overly bullshit. The mule scene reminded me a bit of wages of fear in the sense that small shit like that can turn into a big mess.
End was forseeable but what else are you gonna do it was an adventure flick in its core

not a native speaker so I didn't notice that
I tried to pay attention at first but after a while I was just watching the movie

>Not just stashing the money and evacing until later
I think the idea to justify carrying the money with them was the throw away line about "bad dudes people will be on our tails" or something like that.

They were tempted but managed to keep their souls. The one that was most tempted, paid dearly.

If you liked it, watch "High Risk." They blatantly ripped that movie off. TF is basically an inferior remake.

What? They didn't use enough shaky cam for ya? Smh.

Every sicario day of the soldado hides from the policia? Interesting.

Agreed

>we are finally going to use our training for ourselves
>decide to disregard all that and act shocked when everything goes to shit

Is the point of the film to teach you that soldiers are manchildren that can’t function outside the structure of the military?

Based.

>A grade helicopter
>Can't carry a few bags

Why the fuck do you want that you fucking retard?

That wasn't Brazil you dumb ape

>Pedro pascal

sign me up

>ignores Cuba doing worse shit and destroying nations.
What?

They actually could have placed the names on their poster above the actors, it really wouldn'ta been that hard

Reminder the movie should have went full The Grey and had them fighting wolves

It's in order of who is getting paid the most.

Yeah tons of wolves in the jungle

Cheetahs then

>muh cartel boss's son is sad cause his father's dead
Lol is Hollywood fucking retarded, how are we supposed to feel sorry for that person. Sicario had it right and killing the children in front of their drug lord father was justice.

action motherfucker

How were they going to fit all that money into that tiny boat anyway?

Good goy

Kek

they all suppose to be these super elite soldiers right? how the fuck do they not know how much the helicopter can take? also how did they know it was exactly 250 million? the ending was hilariously bad. guy say no more killing and 30 seconds later he starts killing. teenager soldiers?

Didn't factor in greed

for whom the bell tolls in the opening and orion in the end credits was pretty bad ass!

i was lars's name in the music credits

>when they have to leave all the money in the house and burn it
FUCK
>when the mule falls off the trail and they lose like 25 million
FUCK
>when ben eats it
FUCK
entertaining movie. but they should have left half the money at the peru airfield, taken the remainder to the boat, then fly back for the rest

holy shit, you aren't kidding

"Four naive Americans, in need of easy cash, decide to fly to Colombia and raid the safe of a notorious drug lord with connections to the corrupt military regime. "

imdb.com/title/tt0082516/?ref_=fn_al_tt_3

Did you not see the ship?

just watched it last night

it was a boring generic movie with no memorable moments.

i expected them betray each other but still okay with the ending

okja was kino faggot
