Ryan Gosling as Neil Armstrong
>Good morning. In less than an hour, aircraft from here will join others from around the world. And you will be launching the largest aerial battle in the history of mankind. “Mankind.” That word should have new meaning for all of us today. We can’t be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in our common interests. Perhaps it’s fate that today is the Fourth of July, and you will once again be fighting for our freedom… Not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution… but from annihilation. We are fighting for our right to live. To exist. And should we win the day, the Fourth of July will no longer be known as an American holiday, but as the day the world declared in one voice: We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight! We’re going to live on! We’re going to survive! Today we celebrate our Independence Day!
>guy finds his principles and decides to sacrifice himself to save his friends in the rebellion
>rose suicide rams him out of the fucking sky (somehow?)
>lectures him on how they won't win by destroying what they hate, but by saving what they love
>goes in for a really awkward kiss
>while all the people he cares about get fucking hiroshimad' in the background, a very select few having escaped, granted, but not to his knowledge
10/10, inspiring as fuck
>blue checkmark
>cartoon avatar of self
>literal who
like clockwork
A top childhood kino moment
Rose literally sexually assaulted Finn.
Imagine if this scene was reversed.
Rose is a fascist that tazes and detains people that want to leave a volunteer army.
He delivered that speech perfectly. All real presidents are jelly. Get fukt Lincoln.
That scene sums up selfish women. They save what THEY love, fuck self sacrifice to save everyone else amirite?
My everymorning shit. Reminds me of those millions of black babies getting aborted. Makes me happy and inspired
>tazes and detains people that want to leave a volunteer army
>leave them locked up in secret in ship basement
>leave on important mission
>absolutely everything depends on this
>ditch the mission because a few captive animals made you feel things in your womb
>in jail, "accidentally" sell out your rebellion
>the people you imprisoned get hyperspeed rammed into an enemy ship (RIP)
>manage to get back to the rebellion
>entire group about to get blasted
>dude goes to stop it
>try to kill him yourself first because you're made because you wanted his BB-C
>somehow both survive
>force a kiss on him
Friendly reminder that Rose is secretly Darth Jar-Jar's apprentice.
"Nature has a way sometimes of reminding man of just how small he is. She occasionally throws up the terrible offsprings of our pride and carelessness. To remind us of how puny we really are in the face of a Tornado, an Earthquake, or a Godzilla. The reckless ambitions of man are often dwarfed their dangerous consequences. For now, Godzilla, that strangely innocent and tragic monster, has gone to earth. Whether he returns or not, or is never again seen by human eyes... the things he has taught us... remain"
A real kino moment in an otherwise mediocre American edit of the original Japanese Return of Godzilla from 1984. Raymond Burr saved the American edit from being an insulting comedy by refusing to take part in the movie unless it was taken seriously, and for that he has my thanks. To think it took until 2014 to get a decent American adaptation of the Big G. Well worth the wait, however. What else is worth the wait is Godzilla 2014's sequel.
Speaking of which, there are only
>79 days until Godzilla: King of the Monsters
How the fuck do you "meditate" on something? Especially a scene in a childrens flick?
Meditation generally involves emptying the mind of thoughts, negative and positive. Not constantly think about something over and over.
Is this how all tv threads start? An image is posted along with some text, the text meant to mimic a beginning to fruitful discussion when really the OP wants to draw everyone's attention towards the image. It's as if pol has grown too crowded and political or otherwise social opinion needs to be discussed on each and every board. When will you realize that you are no different than your enemies when you act in such a manner?
*meditates on this*
:(____)
By meditate does he mean fap?
I totally believe this is true. Of course, I also believe that there are plenty of people in this world with the same depth of insight as Jaden Smith.
at least post the whole thing
This is super believable.
peak soi
is this the most ridiculous forced couple on film? what is this shit even?
>even Darth Vader
what is wrong with these people
>i love this character because she represents star wars
>actually she represents politics
>my politics
remember that they want your women and children raped and they think it's funny etc.
has anyone made a supercut where Luke is in the Trench and Rose slams into his Xwing and says that dumb shit and then the Death Star blows up Princess Leia and the entire rebel base?
who cares, white people are worthless barbarians anyway.
This is either blistering sarcasm or impossibly low standards and I'm not sure which.
Ride for ruin and the world's ending!
DEATH!
Breathtaking
>perfect moment
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA OH NO HE'S SERIOUS
Why are nerds such dogshit people, Yea Forums?
>Meditating on a Star Wars film. >Meditating on it a lot.
Either this is an elaborate ruse, or by meditating he means reading the top 5 reviews on IMDB.
>tazes and detains people that want to leave a volunteer army
>leave them locked up in secret in ship basement
Doesnt the base get blown up meaning she actually doomed those people to a death by fire?
If you kill your enemies, you lose.

Kino does.
I got you
>April 10, 1972. Thank God for the rain which has helped wash the garbage and trash off the sidewalks. I’m working a single now, which means stretch-shifts, six to six, sometimes six to eight in the a.m., six days a week. It’s a hustle, but it keeps me busy. I can take in three to three-fifty a week, more with skims. I work the whole city, up, down, don’t make no difference to me – does to some. Some won’t take spooks – Hell, don’t make no difference to me. They’re all animals anyway. All the animals come out at night: Whores, skunk pussies, buggers, queens, fairies, dopers, junkies, sick, venal. Someday a real rain will come and wash all this scum off the streets.
