This. While TDKR had some meme success on an obscure image board it never managed to get much mainstream success. It's impact was localised and just occasionally spills over to other pretty obscure boards.
Infinity War on the other hand has produced several mainstream memes. Doesn't matter if they are good or not. Infinity War objectively has more of a meme impact than TDKR. On a more subjective note, I find IW memes are generally funnier. TDKR memes are more of a "I get that reference" kinda thing.
Just to clarify, when I say obscure I mean the average NPC Joe who's browsing Twitter, Facebook etc. probably doesn't know what Yea Forums is let alone any of the specific boards it has on it. And those who know about Yea Forums have probably just experienced Yea Forums and assume that's all there is to it.
