Why does everything they touch become boring?

Because your mom has sex with niggers

Because they promised to go in content first, but then noticed it is just sensible business to try and squeeze successful series dry like every other studio.

10 episode show.
1st episode good
2-6th episode shit and nothing happens
7th episode exciting plot
8th-10th episode nothing happens show fizzles out

Newsflash: 95% of all television is boring regurgitated garbage. It did not start with Netflix not it's supposed to end there

I dont get the Netflix hate OP, Netflix only "produces" shows, wich means they give money to people to make shows or buy shows, theres is no "Netflix" its just a platform

bad directors/writers make a bad boring show tho

maybe their contracts have something in them that makes the produced shows become mediocre or they only hire bad directors/writers

you can't be this naive

their shows are structured around a strong first episode that builds buzz and that current subscribers can show to their friends. It doesn't matter how good the show is after that because you're already paying

Movies and TV are increasingly a boomer meme.
I dont even watch any of it anymore, i just shotpost about capeshit movies ive never seen.

Basically their series are heavily frontloaded to draw media attention and new subscribers. The remainder of the series suffers but it doesn't matter because new subscribers have already paid up

>what is marketing
they don't give money to just anyone, it's engineered so that their viewers act as free advertisers
ding ding ding

lol

The devilman remake they funded was pretty good.

They absolutely ruined the killing.

Releasing all episodes at once don't give enough time to discuss the episodes separately. That's an issue when you're trying to create attention to your show
Also their algorithm just do what the data shows what's more likely to appease their clientele

This is true for ALL series in the TV industry nowdays, just like game of thrones and thats from HBO

Its just the format and formula that makes more money at the moment

literally all "discussion" is idiots needing what they saw explained to them, and, often still not understanding for completely random reasons.

Altered Carbon was good, but I think that was mostly because they didn't make the story themselves.

1) no it isnt
2) so what

Social Justice

Just watched The Order recently. It was pretty decent. All the main characters were white (well, one werewolf girl was like a feather Indian, but she was cute).
