Specifically it would be the Air Force in this case. They've ignored the military before though. The Pentagon hated the idea of SHIELD being a shadowy military force that operated in the dark with advanced weapons. The use of SHIELD F-35s in the Avengers was frowned upon for this reason.

Not sure what's changed since. I know the Air Force is desperate for pilots and maintainers so I'm sure they'd love some recruitment propaganda. Sadly the Air Force can't be bothered to get off their asses and do anything about improving retention. It's just a never-ending revolving door. Everyone knows they can do 10x better in the civilian world so they leave as soon as they can.

Air Force is the cushiest the military gets but it's arguably the greatest scam depending on what job you get (some are great). Army and Marine Corps are at least a bit more honest and up front about how shitty things are and the nature of your work.

Ghostbusters 2016 has never been on Netflix and Disney confirmed Captain Marvel is never going to be on Netflix.

The military, if accepting of the script, would provide all the props and more for little cost to the filmmakers. It's too economical and worthwhile visually for Hollywood not to play along. I remember on the Transformers 1 commentary track Bay saying the movie would have cost double to make if it wasn't for the U.S. military being so helpful

I thought it was somewhat darkly amusing that right before I saw Captain Marvel, I saw a article about McSally the Arizonia Senator who flew in the time frame of the movie and got raped in the Airforce. Probably but a little dent in their propaganda campaign. Particularly since the movie felt like it was going to have more about the era accurate sexism, but only mentioned the not yet flying combat and the cockpit line.
