I think it'd be worth buying the BD and the 4K to futureproof. A triple layer 4K disc is 100GB, so it's twice the data of your normal BD.

Now that the film is confirmed to be a success and break past even after 340+ M, I feel happy for everyone involved.
I know it’s not a big number compared to Capeshit or Ready Player One, but after all the negative press it got before being released (People hating the 1st trailer, been Review-Bombed by Mouse shills, expected to bomb by analists like Forbes and that shit marketing), this feels like a big FUCK YOU HATERS to all of them.
Now they’re moving goalposts from “it will flop” to “it won’t get a sequel” but you know, I’m optimistic. The film’s reception after its screening is overwhelmingly positive and if James, Robert, Fox and Disney notice this, I bet we will get it and will be way MORE successful than A:BA 1.

The whole sequence is a visual marvel. I can't believe more people outside the fans aren't talking about how splendid everything is shot, lit, and corrected, and the insane visuals are something that aren't really replicated outside the manga and anime medium.

I think Rodriguez is great at making complex action scene readable. I noticed this during the motorball stuff as well, in the hands someone else those complex racer designs and attacks would quickly get lost into a clusterfuck of smears and action. Yet everything is crystal clear he knows when to use slowdown but he doesn't over do it either.
I really think the movie's action scene benefited by having him directing it. Jim's movie probably would have had better dialogue and it might of focused more on the various sci-fi elements but I don't think Jim's action would have been as good. The bar scene was pure Rodriguez at his finest, just choreography of that scene is phenomenal.

Not exactly, according to that post. I mean it is basically just a random blog, but the second page says it's kind of unlikely a sequel will be made. Chances would probably have been higher if fox wasn't getting acquired by Disney.
I'm still holding out hope, and honestly the chance of no sequels makes me want to go watch it in the cinema one last time at some point (I guess it will have to be in the next week...)
