Yeah if you like the MCU show. Decent enough episode. I was kind of surprised Brie wasn't as cardboard as the trailers implied but she was still probably the worst part. It's a fun Nick Fury origin.

Movie was meh, Thor 2 tier. Skrull guy was pretty fun though, I liked him and his family more than the main hero. She just had no real arc, so it was hard to care about her much, the ancillary characters all had more interesting stuff going on imo.
Marvel VS Michael Jackson, I mean Marvel is ludicrously overpowered but then again MJ could wish on a falling star and become a massive Mecha-Jackson to combat her. Depending on the setting the battle might go either way.

This makes me picture the usual high-energy MCU fight we've seen a dozen times, only occasionally she trips on micro-machines or gets smacked by a paint-can on a rope, all while MJ gloats/moonwalks around in mech form taunting her.

I'd describe it as OK. It's a "smoother" product than Dr. Strange, which was visibly hacked up in the editing room, but doesn't have highs and lows like Dr. Strange either.
Cheese Larson was appealing, but lacks the charisma of the big 3 (Thor, Ironman, Cap).

2. The way they told the origin story was new to comic movies and kept the plot going.
3. She's playing an airforce pilot and acts like an airforce pilot. controlled, cold and goal driven.
4. Action was okay at times then really good at others.
5. She goes through a heroes journey. Getting knocked around etc.
6. Above Thor 3 but below Civil War

So I didn't pay attention to the drama surrounding this movie and I actually love the skrulls and cosmic marvel as a whole. So this movie should've triggered my inner fanboy but was absolute shit. To summarize:

Seriously the main character looks like a soccer mom and has zero emotional range throughout the entire movie. They try to play her off as some fish out of water not from earth trained soldier and all she can muster is the same boring expression matched with her dry snark. It doesn't help that they try to make her some 'don't tell me what to do' female lead but can't add any depth to it. She comes off as a teenager in a soccer mom's body. Sam Jackson and the leader skrull were pretty great but man what a waste of a movie. I couldn't recommend this movie to anyone unless they were that starved for marvel drivel. It just does nothing and the main character kills it, it honestly felt like I was watching jupiter ascending again. Only this time I didn't have space cathedrals to distract me from how boring the main actor was.
